"Are you seriously leaving them all there?" Emilia asked as she saw Nathan and three friends coming from the camp area.

"They are all men, it should have been reasonable to avoid the help of the Japanese soldiers who would soon be coming there..." Nathan replied with a cold expression.

"Pulse... If I may add, there are small children, women, and ordinary citizens who are there actually..." Sela Kevin while laughing awkwardly which immediately made Nathan glanced at him sharply.

"That's none of our business. I've got the loot, we better get out of here..." Nathan said as he sauntered away ahead of his colleagues.

Seeing Nathan's expression that seemed to change after coming out of the bunker made everyone there feel astonished especially for Emilia, because Nathan had never been that cold to him before, plus the empty eyes of the man.

"What really happened to him. Why did his attitude change so?" Emilia asked Harry, Kevin, and Robby while holding Liu Yifei.

Harry, Kevin, and Robby shake their heads because they don't know what's going on inside the bunker because the three of them are outside.

"Come on, but one thing is for sure he's really found the treasure..." Harry said as he showed the golden statue in his hand.

They then walked to return to where their ship was located a considerable distance away. Although feeling tired but in order to avoid problems with the Japanese army they prefer to leave immediately from there.

Nathan, who had walked farther than his colleagues, appeared to reduce his speed and walk more leisurely.

Nathan's mind now seemed to be filled with events when he saw experiments conducted by the Japanese in the bunker earlier, which seemed to make foreign memories into his brain.

The shadow of an experiment and an operation filled his head as if he himself had experienced it.

This made Nathan's head feel dizzy to make him walk staggered and several times hit the tree, until finally he curled on the ground because of the tremendous pain throughout his body, he said, nathan has no injuries now.

"Sir, are you okay!?" Echelon asked in a worried tone because Nathan's emotional state was not very good and disturbed.

Nathan did not respond to questions from Echelon and made the artificial intelligence finally act by administering a mild electric shock to calm the man down.

After feeling calm, Nathan adjusted his breath, while closing his eyes with his arms and digesting all the flashbacks he had seen before.

"Who was that, was that me? Why am I feeling all that?" Nathan muttered in wonder with all those flashbacks.

In the previous flashback Nathan seemed to see a small child who was made into a guinea pig by several scientists under the spotlight of the operating lamp.

The scientists mercilessly cut off his legs without anesthesia and were conscious of conducting a trial to cause him pain.

"What do you mean sir?" Echelon asked who was astonished by some of the original questions from Nathan's mouth.

"No... I just had a headache..." Nathan replies, unwilling to tell him what he just saw and felt.

Nathan got up and washed his face in the river while pondering for a moment what had just happened to him.

'That's not just an illusion...' Nathan's mind while holding his wrist that had felt very painful for no reason.

Not wanting to think too much about the incident he had just experienced, Nathan then continued his journey and would find out the real thing that happened when he returned later.

Coinciding when Nathan re-entered the forest he happened to cross paths with a colleague and also his wife who was just about to pass the road.

Emilia who saw Nathan's strange looking facial expression immediately looked at him suspiciously. "Why does your face look like that, did something happen to you? Let me check..."

Nathan shook his head and refused to be examined by Emilia. "There's no need for me to be okay..." Nathan said as he took over the sleeping Liu Yifei being carried by Emilia.

Emilia did not believe what Nathan said when she found blood on the man's clothes.

"Don't lie, the blood patch is yours isn't it?" Emilia asked as she watched the bloodstains on Nathan's clothes.

"Just calm down, there's nothing to worry about..." Nathan replied with a cold expression before waltzing away while holding Liu Yifei.

Emilia who was looking at the cold gaze from Nathan clearly felt astonished, but he no longer dared to ask because he felt it was not the best option and thought that Nathan's current mood was not okay.

They then continued their journey and only arrived at the beach in the morning and then immediately sailed to return home.

Nathan is lying alone in his room while Emilia is cleaning Liu Yifei's body with the help of Julia, Amanda, and Gisela.

Moments later Emilia went into the room and lay down next to Nathan, who was resting her face on a pillow.

"Is there something you're thinking about?" Emilia asked in a gentle tone while stroking Nathan's broad and burly back.

"I feel like I'm dead before and my life right now is just a bonus from the above..." Reply Nathan without changing his lying position.

Although shocked by what Nathan said, Emilia tried to stay calm and try to understand what the man was feeling right now.

"Is the problem that bad? Even if your life is just a bonus now, use it as much as possible..." Emilia.

Nathan doesn't seem to want to tell her what he went through last night and chooses to be quiet as this is his personal matter.

He then turned to Emilia and looked at her face deeply. "Why would a woman as beautiful as you want to marry a man like me?"

"Because I feel like you're different from other men. And of course because you're handsome..." Reply Emilia who answered a spontaneous question from Nathan.

Nathan only smiled faintly and closed his eyes when he heard the reply from Emilia which made him slightly satisfied.

Emilia who saw Nathan closed her eyes when the romantic atmosphere felt a little upset, because only the man who seemed not so concerned with the beauty of a woman, especially her.

'Although it sucks, but this is also what interests me...' Inner Emilia while putting up an irritated face mimic.

Understand because Nathan felt exhausted due to last night's events Emilia finally let him sleep, but before that he did his daily routine of sucking Nathan's blood before leaving.
