The Second Day Battle

Nathan returns to his room in a doldrums because he has rejected a beautiful woman. Although very regretful of the decision Nathan for now just want to focus on finding a way to get back to his time.

Upon arrival in the room, Nathan finds Harry singing in a discordant voice using a beloved ukulele.

"Stop singing, your voice is so unpleasant to hear!" Nathan snorted angrily and vented his disappointment that had turned a beautiful woman down to Harry.

"Coming angry is not clear, indeed why if my voice is not pleasant to hear. What's the problem for you huh!?" Harry said back to being upset.

Nathan was grieving and lying on his bed ignoring Harry who was looking at him in surprise and annoyance.

Harry then continued to play the ukulele and this made Nathan more frustrated to have to cover his own face using a pillow.

Early the next day in the morning the entire pilot began to prepare their respective planes and check them to make sure that no damage could interfere in today's battle.

Nathan is still in the room to get ready while Harry has gone to check the condition of their plane on the deck.

After the preparations were finished Nathan released his DogTag and put it on the bed before heading out of his room to meet the squadron he was heading to today.

While walking through the corridor of Nathan's ship accidentally passed the doctor Emilia and it was seen that the beautiful woman did not glance at him at all.

Nathan could only sigh and realize that doctor Emilia was angry with him after what happened last night.

Without Nathan noticing, Emilia's doctor turned around and looked at her from behind with a sad-looking face.

On board the Imperial Japanese cruiser Kashima, Admiral Shigeyoshi Inoue looked at the Allied Fleet, which would re-engage with his fleet.

The shadow of the destruction of one of the aircraft carriers of his fleet kept ringing in his mind and he obviously did not accept it.

He remembered how one of the Allied warplanes had swooped down on the aircraft carrier Shoho and dropped a bomb to the point of destroying it.

"Drop the fighter that destroyed Shoho yesterday. I don't care if I have to use some planes to hunt him down..." Admiral Inoue said to his men.

After instructing the ten pilots under his command and preparations were completed, at half-eight in the morning Nathan and his men left the aircraft carrier Yorktown with the other pilots.

While flying to the Imperial Japanese Fleet, Nathan daydreams about his fate which he feels is now unclear.

Nathan was worried about going to war or stopping. He thought that without himself participating, the Allies would still win.

But if he resigns then it is certain that it will be a disgrace of his family in the present, and on the other hand he also cannot leave his friend just like that.

Harry who realized that Nathan was daydreaming then patted his shoulder to get back awake, and it would be very dangerous if daydreaming at a time like this.

"Hey, relax... What are you thinking, huh?" Harry asked, curious about Nathan's change in attitude last night.

"T-no... If the war is over and we're alive, what do you want Harry to do?" Nathan asked Harry.

"Why do you ask like that. It's obvious I'll marry Marry when I get back and make a small business!" Harry smiled proudly about his desire to have a family with his girlfriend later in life.

"What about you?" Ask Harry who was curious about the purpose of his best friend after the war ended.

For a moment Nathan thought about what he wanted to do. When Nathan wants to answer Harry's question, Kevin and Robby, who are flying beside him, contact him via radio.

"Hey, what are you talking about. Why does it look so serious?" Kevin asked as he looked at Nathan and Harry who were flying beside him.

Not long after the battle on that day happened. Artillery from the Imperial Japanese Fleet began firing Allied warplanes.

Not only Artillery, but Japanese warplanes also began attacking Allied aircraft to protect their fleet.

Nathan's main focus and the ten aircraft under his command were the aircraft carrier Shokaku, but this was certainly not easy given that the carrier was heavily guarded by other warships.

When they felt their distance was close enough, Nathan brought his plane down, followed by ten other fighter planes.

They then flew twenty meters low from sea level while avoiding artillery attacks fired from warships and Japanese carriers.

Two planes were hit by gunfire from enemy ship Artillery and were forced to release torpedoes although the distance was not close enough to the mother ship Shokaku then flew away.

As a result, the torpedo did not hit the aircraft carrier Shokaku and easily passed it just because the speed of the ship is fairly fast, which is 32 knots.

Nathan and the rest of his squad then fired their torpedoes at 50 meters and flew back up to avoid enemy artillery fire.

Four of the eight torpedoes they released hit the hull and left the aircraft carrier Shokaku severely damaged until there was a leak.

Not satisfied until there only Nathan and his troops attacked the aircraft carrier Shokaku by throwing bombs that they brought towards him.

Three bombs severely hit the decks of the aircraft carrier Shokaku and destroyed the warplanes newly prepared to fly.

The instant fire broke out on the deck of the aircraft carrier Shokaku after being hit by a bomb and forced the ship to retreat, as it suffered considerable damage and its planes are now also damaged.

Admiral Inoue who saw one of his aircraft carriers get severe damage from the same person with mounting anger immediately ordered to attack him.

The way Admiral Inoue used to incapacitate Nathan's forces was not playful, he gave orders to take him down using all means including crashing the plane at him.

As a result, three aircraft under Nathan's command crashed and suffered damage after being hit and hit by a Japanese plane.

Nathan, who saw his men's plane fall into the sea, could only tighten his teeth while trying to avoid the shots of the plane chasing behind.

"You get back on the boat, I'll fish and open the way for you!" Nathan said to the pilots of the planes in his squad that are still alive including Kevin and Robby.

"Are you kidding, of course we can't just leave you and Harry!" Kevin replied with annoyance.

"No rejection, this is an order!" Nathan said through radio communication that made Kevin and other pilots forced to carry out the order.

After Kevin and the other pilots leave, Nathan is pursued by five Japanese planes at once and maneuvers to avoid a hail of bullets being shot at him and Harry.

Harry did not stay silent, with his machine gun he tried to bring down the Japanese fighter aircraft that were chasing them.

One plane Harry managed to shoot down but in return he had to be hit by a shot that made him instantly droop helpless in his chair.

"It looks like I'm going to die, Nathan..." Harry said in a weak tone to try to get shot in the chest and shoulders.

Hearing Harry's words just now Nathan looked back and rightly saw that his friend was getting quite badly injured.

"Hold on, I'll get you out of here!" Said Nathan who could not bear to see his friend die due to his unilateral decision.

After Nathan said that, Harry was unconscious and made the man really feel upset and panicked.

Nathan, who initially only avoided fire from Japanese aircraft, immediately attacked them and managed to bring down the five aircraft in a short period of time.

Not willing to waste a long time Nathan then bring Harry back to the aircraft carrier Yorktown to get treatment.

Upon arrival on the Yorktown mothership, Nathan takes the wounded Harry to the medical room and has others prepare his plane.
