"What's this?" asked Puang Tuo who was now staring at Puang Edi and the other villagers.

Puang Tuo was now staring at Puang Edi and the citizens who still looked so astonished looked at him.

"I'm asking you what are you doing here?" puang Tuo asked again and this time managed to make everyone before him whisper to each other.

Puang Edi threw out his breath. He turned his head to look at the residents who were now staring at him, well honestly their arrival was not because of his will but this was all because of the persuasion and seduction of Puang Edi.

"This is the wrong question Puang Tuo. It should be me who asked what Puang Tuo was doing here," Puang Edi said making the citizens nod their heads in agreement with the question.

"Say, Puang!"

"Yes, say!"

"Say!" their cheers were so noisy as they looked at Puang Tuo who was now still speechless.

"Be quiet, all the citizens!" said Puang Tuo while raising his hand made the citizens speechless.

"What are you doing here? I should have asked you what are you doing here especially at this late-night hour?" tanya Puang Tuo made Puang Edi now turn to look at the residents.

"Who told you all to gather here?"

The citizens are looking at each other now. They wanted to answer but did not dare to mention the name Puang Edi. Puang Edi turned his head to look around the citizens who were staring at him. Puang Edi stared back at Puang Tuo.

"I gathered and brought him to this place."

Both eyes Puang Tuo glanced at Puang Edi who finally spoke up.

"You?"

He looked in disbelief.

"Yes, Puang."

"But why did you gather all the villagers? It's already hours of sleep and it's time to sleep and rest."

"Everybody here is a worker. Tomorrow morning he will return to work. How can you gather them here?"

"My fathers and children for now you go home and rest. Remember that! You'll be working again tomorrow."

"Save your energy!"

"Go home now!"

The residents are now whispering to each other as if they have been consumed by the speech of Puang Tuo. Puang Edi took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. It seems he cannot remain silent. He must not let the citizens he had gathered with great difficulty even leave this place because it was only a talk from Puang Tuo.

"Sorry Puang Tuo if my answer is a bit unreasonable but I have news that there is a Parakang here. Isn't that so, gentlemen?"

"Yes right!!!"

"That bill!!!"

"Stool!!!" sahut the citizens made Puang Tuo glance at Raina and and Erni who now looked very tense and frightened.

The faces of both of them looked so scared and pale.

"Is that right you all came here just because of that?" puang Tuo asked everyone in front of him.

"Yes I heard there's a parakang in this house."

"That bill."

"Yes, that's right."

"Truely we heard it if there is a Parakang!!!!"

"Hust! Calm down, brothers, calm down! Don't be so emotional!"

"Get it done with a cool head!"

"How can we solve the problem coldly if the Paradak who killed my Wife and Son is in this house."

"Yes, he also killed Puang Bakri!!!"

"He who has troubled the citizens!!!" yell at the others.

"Stop it! No yelling! Where is Parakang? Huh huh? Whereabouts? There is no such thing as Parakang."

"How can you say if Parakang doesn't exist, Puang Tuo?" ask Puang Edi.

Puang Tuo was silent.

"How can you say if there's no such thing as Parakang? How can you say that Parakang does not exist while Parakang exists."

"Why did you say that? Are you not a former Parakang hunter and that means you have seen the figure of Parakang and even hunt him then what makes you able to say if Parakang does not exist, Puang Tuo?"

Puang Tuo smiled sinisterly making the corners of his lips lift up. Puang Tuo bowed for a moment then looked back at Puang Edi and a few other citizens who seemed to be waiting for a response from him.

"I know and you're right, if I'm a former Parakang hunter and you know that I stopped hunting Parakang."

"You all want to know the reason, right? Aren't you?" asked Puang Tuo with both of his gazes staring at the entire citizens.

"It's all because I have my own reasons and the reason is because I just realized that hunting Parakang is not easy."

"I never found the figure of Parakang who supposedly said he always preyed on and disturbed all people but I never saw it directly."

"How can I catch him if he's not around."

"Am I just looking for something I've never seen in person?"

"So I decided to stop looking for him or even catch him, it was the same as looking for a tiger in the ground."

"Which in the sense of nothing then get out of here!" he said with full assertiveness to make all residents now whisper again.

Puang Edi let out a heavy sigh.

"Alright Puang Tuo but now let me do the talking" Puang Edi said.

Puang Tuo swallowed his saliva. He tried to calm down so that he did not look scared in front of everyone.

Puang Tuo glanced at Raina and Erni in turn. Puang Tuo nodded slowly as if he was trying to tell them if this would be alright.

"The answer to my question is Puang Tuo!"

Puang Tuo turned his head to look at Puang Edi who seemed ready to ask a question.

"What are you doing here, Puang Tuo? And-" asked Puang Edi who was now staring at Puang Edi then glanced at Raina and Erni in turn.

"What are you doing in this house with these two girls? You don't have blood ties until it's impossible for you to be home."

"Now answer my question Puang! What are you doing here with those two!" Point it towards Raina and Erni who are now looking at each other.

Puang Tuo smiled.

"Yes, we don't have a blood relationship but we should have helped each other."

"You know Erni, she's Mayang's granddaughter. He now lives alone in this house."

"You know that Raina and Erni are friends who have been together for a long time."
