Chapters 193. MISCARRIAGE
After a thirty-minute journey, the two of them finally arrived at the Hospital courtyard. Even now the two are already queuing with other husband and wife couples.
Thirty minutes later, they were able to see the doctor.
"Good morning, doctor?" greet Michael and Viola almost simultaneously.
"Good morning, please sit."
"Thank you, doc."
"How, are there any complaints about your pregnancy?"
"Overnight my stomach was cramping and then a moment later my back was very painful, because it hurt so much I couldn't move until I fell asleep."
"Alright, let's lie down on the gurney."
"Suster help Madame Viola to lie down."
"Okay, doctor."
After Viola lay down, the nurse immediately applied cream gel on Viola's stomach to perform ultrasound examination. When looking at the fetus inside the belly of Viola, Dr. Richard's forehead wrinkled. There seems to be a problem there.
"Other than that what's after your stomach cramps is there something else you feel?"
"It's just another, doctor."
"Well, you better lie down first. Let me talk to your husband first."
"Please, doctor."
After receiving approval from his wife, Richard's doctor left. After finding Michael, the doctor pulled Michael's arm out of the examination room and returned to the consultation table.
"What's up, doctor?"
"Sorry, it seems, your wife had a miscarriage."
"What!" he said half surprised.
Michael rubbed his forehead which felt throbbing fast.
"Why did the doctor happen?"
"The cause of an undeveloped fetus is a chromosomal abnormality in the zygote. This could be due to poor quality of the egg or sperm."
"You mean the quality of my sperm is not good?"
"Not so, listen to my explanation first, then you can conclude yourself."
Michael who felt unprepared for the news he received could only sigh. Then, Dr. Richard began to speak again.
"Then for the cause of my wife's miscarriage, which factor, doctor?" said resignedly
"It looks like there's an infection there."
"Can't it be cured and kept?"
Richard's doctor did not want to explain further and preferred to thrust a paper on Michael in order to be understood.
"What is this, doctor?"
"The next procedure to be taken."
"The first sentence Michael reads this time is the process of curettage."
"Why should this be like a doctor?"
"The state of the fetus is not developing can mean the fetus is there and then there is no development. It means it can't be maintained anymore. So the first step that can be taken is to let it out on its own or through the act of curettage."
"Do the best thing for my wife, I believe in you."
"For the stage after this you should pay more attention to your wife. Let her not be traumatized for the next pregnancy."
"Okay, thank you, doctor."
After a while, Michael approached Viola and gave his understanding to him. The first thing Viola did was hit Michael.
"It's all your fault, Mom. If you pay more attention to me, nothing will happen!"
Viola's anger overflowed at that very instant. He could not bear his disappointment once more. However, in the end Michael managed to calm Viola down and reassured if he would not be remiss after this.
Viola's ears seemed to have been closed by then, he could not listen to anything else afterwards. Especially after the doctor injects the anesthetic and curettage action is immediately done.
However, Michael's heart ached when he saw the action. It was as if God was unfair to him.
"I'm sorry, honey. Papa promised not to waste your mother again after this. Papa promised," he said after carrying a fetus that had been successfully removed from his wife's stomach.
He did not feel his tears dripping, as if he was very sorry about what happened back then.
