Chapters 182. GRATEFUL
Seeing that her husband had returned made Milley's heart relieved. From the window of his room Jord commented a smile.
"Welcome to pass the first test, Papa."
"I hope you'll be able to pass the next test."
Unsolicited Milley welcomed her husband's arrival to the front yard.
"Mas, welcome," he said.
Dylan with a happy face hugged Milley. Unknowingly, her hand was stretched out to her husband's face.
"I must be tired, eat first, gih," Milley asked Dylan.
"Yes, thank you, honey."
But Dylan did not move. Milley looked at him.
"Why stop, Mom?" ask MIlley.
"I'm waiting for Jord's arrival, because he's the one judging the competition this time. Should I wait for him to come down, or is he currently sleeping?" ask Dylan slowly.
Milley smiled at the persistence of her husband, he just wanted to be sporty. So he insisted on waiting for his son to come down first.
"Then let me call Jord a minute."
"In the meantime, he's in the room. Maybe he's studying, 'cause he just got home from school."
"Alright, then let me wait for him to come down."
It turned out to be true, not so long did Jord open the door of his room.
"Mama ..." said Jord when he opened the door to his room.
Milley smiled, "Papa is waiting for you downstairs, he just wants to see that you're the one who scored in his first exam this time."
"Yes, I've seen his arrival. Let's go downstairs!" take Jord to Milley.
Not too long later, Milley and Jord finally started to descend downwards.
"Thank you, son."
"Together, I salute you for having successfully resisted prestige and behaved professionally."
"Then can I hold you?" dylan asked with a longing look.
"Of course, why not?"
Reacting with a big smile, Dylan hugged his son affectionately.
It turned out that the separation of five years made Dylan feel unable to bear if he did not vent his longing directly to Jord. For a long time Dylan harbored his longing for these two people he loved so much. Until he has the chance, he will not miss it.
"Thank you, son. Because of you I learned about life."
Not forgetting he kissed Jord's forehead, then invited him to join the dining table. It turned out that Dylan exceeded the time given by Jord. But Jord still appreciates his father's efforts.
"Why did I look at Dylan when I first met him?"
"Indeed it looks firm, but there are many things to be addressed. If only we hadn't met, there wouldn't have been Dylan standing straight in front of me right now" Milley murmured.
Although not able to make out with Dylan for a while, but at least the closeness between Jord and Dylan will feel more natural and maybe it will make their relationship closer in the end.
There's nothing to worry about Jord's actions to his father, Dylan. Even so what he was worried about was Dylan who incidentally since childhood he lived in luxury and was not used to the life commonly lived by Milley and Jord.
Milley thought that maybe Jord would test his father with things he had never met in his daily life. So that Milley's anxiety was more for her husband.
But Dylan's struggle today proves that he wants to learn and wants to get out of his comfort zone. Try new things and it might be useful later on.
"Maybe the leadership spirit you have is down from your father Dylan, or is it Milley's wit-mixing with him?"
But Milley was aware of many things that would happen if he and his son suddenly came to the surface. Moreover, the news of their deaths had been going on for the past five years. Maybe if they suddenly appear there will be a commotion and many people who take advantage of it to drop the reputation of her husband.
"I won't let that happen to you, baby. Let us remain in hiding, for sure you are safe and our little family remains happy, Aamiin," Milley prayed in her heart.
