DEBT ON TOP OF MARRIAGE

DEBT ON TOP OF MARRIAGE
CHAPTERS 155. CRITICALLY

Milley was undergoing surgery to remove a bullet from his arm. Milley's weak condition due to being pregnant made the anxiety felt by Dylan increase.

Medical personnel are struggling inside the operating room. Milley's blood was shed so much it required a transfusion. Luckily, the blood type stock is still enough, so there is no need to ask donors.

"How's Milley doing?" ask Mr. Chryst who just arrived.

"Still in surgery, Cake."

"Patience!"

Mr. Chryst patted Dylan on the shoulder gently. Trying to give her encouragement and support.

"I'm sure Milley and your son will survive."

Dylan nodded in agreement and then prayed for the safety of Milley and her future son.

He deliberately arrived late because he had to persuade Lena to return and think calmly.

"But she's my daughter? You should know that I'm worried about her?" said Lena with teary eyes.

"Trust me, please give me a chance Lena."

Lena stared at the old man in front of her. If he did not remember his kindness he might have railed against the old man. However, after so many years he came and apologized for all the mistakes of his son and wife.

"Alright, I'm giving you one more chance."

"Thank you, Lena."

After persuading Lena, he heads to the Hospital to meet his granddaughter, Dylan. When he arrived, Dylan really looked very messed up. He also knew his grandfather was coming.

Dylan looked at his grandfather with a sad look. "Has the culprit been found?"

"In a moment we can definitely find him, grandfather promised!"

"I hope Grandpa can fulfill it."

"Surely."

Dylan kept his face down. His eyes were blank, but there was anger lingering there. Even so he could not hide his anxiety.

"Milley you must endure!"

"I know you're strong."

An hour had passed, but the operation was still going on. It seems that the medical personnel are very busy in this operation. Many things happened that day, so the Hospital looks busy in one day.

While Mr. Chryst was still thinking about Milley's fate, suddenly a new problem came back. Lena reportedly fainted because Milley did not kiss.

"Ready, Big Master."

After getting the instructions, Jo immediately left. However, escorts at the hospital remained tightened. Who knows, there are other people heading there. Mr. Chryst and Jo don't want to take any chances. Moreover, the important people were all in the Hospital.

After Jo died, finally came some additional guards. Even one floor unit that Milley used for surgery was sterilized. It seems very special in the eyes of people, when it is like that.

Finally a miracle came. The one and a half hour operation went well. After the surgery, the doctor who led Milley's surgery came out, Dylan immediately greeted him.

"W-how is the patient?"

"Patients should be treated in a transition room first, to facilitate patient supervision and healing."

"But the patient survived, right, doctor?"

"Hopefully, the patient had a lot of blood loss, so it needs a transfusion. However, after this the patient is still experiencing a critical period and we just wait for the miracle to take place, starting for twelve hours, starting from now."

Seeing Dylan still in shock, Mr. Chryst represented him to thank him.

"Thank you, doctor."

"Either. If nothing is asked, I'm sorry."

After the doctor left, the gurney containing Milley was immediately moved to the transition room. Neither Dylan nor any of his other relatives should approach the patient for the next twelve hours. Only a miracle could make Milley open her eyes.

"Who did this, Cake?"

"Grandfather doesn't know either, you're strong. I'm sure Milley would have survived."

Mr. Chryst patted Dylan on the shoulder so that he would be a little stronger to deal with it.

"Let Grandpa investigate, you keep Milley here!"

"Good, Cake."

With the power that Mr. Chryst has actually this is easily predictable, but he has not found enough evidence, so inevitably he should not be rash in deciding.

After studying the situation, Mr. Chryst's confidants began to periodically submit reports to him. Mr. Chryst is very thorough at the moment. Nor will he be easy to decide things, because he does not want Dylan or wretched.

"I'd better make some other news to shut this case out of the media."
