Blue Scandals

Blue Scandals
14 - Different reality

Lilia laid her body on one of the UKS beds. He was a bit surprised to find out that some students his age carried something that students should not carry, even until there were women who carried cigarettes.

Not only that, although Lilia only checked some of the student bags and others checked by Julio, the brown-eyed woman could tell from the confiscated items she saw.

“Lilia?”

The voice Lilia knew made her turn straight away.

“Oh Halin..”

The woman named Halina approached and sat on a chair not far from where Lilia was lying.

“What pain do you have? Again dapet?”

“No, I think it's exhausted because of the many activities and tasks that stack.”

Halina was silent for a moment and then sighed. “Izin only if you need a break.”

“No way, less two weeks more intelligent race meticulously.”

“Ya can change the schedule if you really need a break.”

Lilia was silent, she confirmed Halina's words. If he is tired, it is better to rest.

“Later I tried to tell sir Julio.”

Halina smiled with relief and told about Reza who had almost left something but Halina told Reza to give it directly to Lilia.

Lilia simply smiled hearing what Halina said. But his mind was not sure what he was thinking.

“So I wanted to take Fani but she went to the sausage room first, so I came by myself.

“Yes he is also busy anyway because the sports week is also soon.”

The two continued chatting, Halina seemed to deliberately talk about funny things so that Lilia did not focus on her mind which indeed seemed to be filled with anxiety.

Meanwhile Rion, Zora, Reno and Farhan who had just finished facing Julio and the homeroom teacher seemed to be walking leisurely.

“My feeling is not good deh yon,” Zora told Rion.

The call yoyon is a call commonly used by close friends of Rion including his hanging children.

Rion who heard Zora's anxiety laughed instead. “How bad is it? Perhaps the same, where there are teachers who dare to call my order to school. You know my father was one of the higher-ups of ke*lisian.”

“Pak Julio is very hard looking doang, the proof is we immediately released without being given any punishment,” Reno said.

“It is precisely because we are not given any punishment, I became suspicious that the problem this time will be big.”

“Cause dong ra, anyways we will be safe because there is a papa Rion,” said Farhan to calm down.

Zora who did not know what else to say finally chose to be quiet. Although his premonition sensed something unpleasant, Zora tried to ignore it and convinced herself it would be fine.

The four students went to different places. Zora prefers to return to class while Rion, Reno and Farhan head to the cafeteria for lunch.

The four students would never have expected that Julio could even do something more extreme than what they thought.

...◇◇◇...

Sella is still waiting in the BK room alone. After the four classmates left, Sella just sat speechless with an anxious expression.

Shortly afterwards came Miss Endah who brought some candy.

“Where is Sella?” ask Miss Endah while smiling.

“I'm sorry.. ,” said Sella Lirih.

“Why are you apologizing?” ask mom Endah to be curious.

“Because I broke the rules.”

Ms. Endah was silent for a long time and then let out a long sigh. The bespectacled woman held out some candy on a table near Sella.

“I heard you brought a cigarette? You smoke?”

Sella did not answer. Bu Endah looked towards the student with a sad expression.

“I know, sometimes it feels difficult to face problems and just want to run away from all, but I hope you can think of everything more carefully again,” said Bu Endah again.

“I don't know where to go.. I hear many people who smoke to relieve stress.” Sella finally opened her voice, though she was still down.

“Then? Have you released that stress?”

Sella shakes. “Anu, will I get a penalty?”

“Maybe there will be a parent call,” replied bu Endah slowly.

Sella who heard that instantly widened her eyes in shock. He had a great fear in his eyes.

“Bu, I am willing to be punished with anything, but do not call my parents to school... ,” said Sella pleading with an anxious expression.

Miss Endah sighed. “The decision is in the hands of Mr. Julio as the person in charge of discipline.”

“Bu I beg... later my father will scold my mother if know I made trouble.”

“What while trying something like that do you think of the risks?”

Sella was silent, her eyes filled with fear.

Ms. Endah herself is actually quite aware of the problems of the Sella family. But there is nothing he can do because again outsiders do not have the right to interfere too much in a family problem.

“I'm sorry, I was wrong for not thinking long..This time please help me,” said Sella begging again.

Miss Endah looked worried. “I will try to talk to Mr. Julio but I cannot guarantee whether your parents will still be called or not. That's all I can do.”

“Thank you.. ,” said Sella Iirih then lowered her head again.

Ms. Endah still wants to talk a lot, but the lesson hour bell has rung. The middle-aged woman invited Sella back to class.

Ms. Endah went back to the teacher's room to see Julio. In the teacher's room, Julio seemed to be talking seriously with Mr. Karni as the guardian of class XI D.

Miss Endah is approaching. “Can I join in discussion?”

Julio and Mr. Karni turned their heads and invited Ms. Endah to join.

“Did it be done calling the parents of the five students sir?”

“Yes, I think it is important to talk about it with their parents,” Julio replied briefly.

“Can I request an exception for Sella?”

Julio frowned and looked at Mr. Karni.

“I think it's not fair to other students, ma'am,” replied Mr. Karni briefly.

“I understand, but I am worried that this problem will be even bigger if it involves family,” replied Ms. Endah with an anxious expression.

“Magar? Why that?” ask Julio confused.

“Isn't that why Sella should be more careful? What about the other students? Would you also ask for a waiver for everything, if all the families of the students were troubled?” julio said he didn't want to lose.

“Did you not have the slightest empathy? You are a psychology scholar!” said Ms. Endah emotion.

Mr. Karni looked surprised but tried to mediate. “Bu, I understand the concerns of Bu Endah, so is bu Endah any way that can give relief to Sella without having to make others envious?”

Ms. Endah was silent, she let out a long sigh trying to control her emotions.

Some of the teachers who were not teaching had turned to Julio because they heard the loud words of Ms. Endah.

“Miss me the problem this time,” said bu Endah gave advice.

“You want me to be ignorant when students make mistakes? What kind of education do you really want to teach?” asked Julio who was upset by Endah's reply.

“Then if a student asks you for help because of his complicated family, what will you do? You think all problems can be solved with the lecture book guidelines that you read first?” This time she was unable to control her emotions.

Mr. Karni who felt the situation was getting heated finally spoke.

“It is better that we rest first, I think it would be better if we all talk about this matter with a cool head.”

Julio nodded in understanding and said goodbye to leaving the room. The bright brown-eyed man was quite disturbed by the words of Miss Endah.

Of course he also knew that not all problems could be solved with communication. Julio knows that not every problem has a solution.

The bright brown-eyed man let out a long breath. After buying a cold drink from the cooperative, he sat in the park near the field.

The expression he usually kept to always look friendly was already invisible. His eyes looked empty.

“Pak Julio?”

The shocked Julio instantly set his expression. “Oh Lilia? You skipped class?”

“I just came from UKS.. ” replied Lilia slowly.

“Oh you are sick? Is it because of fatigue? Want to go back to class? Or sit here first?”

“Hahaha..”.

Julio looked startled with Lilia who suddenly laughed loosely.

“What's up?”

“I just this time saw the expression of Mr. Julio's assortment.” Lilia sat in the same chair as Julio.

“My expression?”

“You usually look always friendly and smiling, but you were sad and feeling depressed.”

Julio took a long breath. “Yes, it looks like I'm faking too much.”

“I heard a little bit from the teacher who was talking... Looks like you had a fight with other teachers?”.

“Not quarrel... I just don't understand the situation of students.”.

“What is this related to impromptu raids?”

“Ya.. if from your perspective. What should I do?”

“Hehe yes where do I know, I am just a student who does not know much about this life..,” replied Lilia shriek.

“Each student has his own difficulties, honestly I do not know what to do.”

Lilia smiled then stood up to prepare to return to the classroom. “Do as you usually do, you must know a good thing among the options. Hehe I go back to class first.”

Lilia left that place. Julio silently stood in his place. The brown-eyed man took off his glasses.

What Lilia said was exactly the same as what someone had said to her.

Julio smiled but his eyes were teary.

“Nina.. ,” said Julio shrieked while covering his face with his hands.

The man rubbed his face and put on the glasses again. He took many breaths and got up from his seat.

... ◇◇◇...

Julio entered the teacher's room with a little more calm. His confidence that had decreased had returned. He has thought about everything carefully so that the existing problems do not get bigger or cause new problems.

Bu Endah seems to have calmed down even though he still looks anxious on his face.

Julio sat quietly next to Mr. Karni. The other teachers looked tensely watching the corner of the room where the three teachers were discussing.

“I have considered it carefully.. ,” said Julio then let out a long sigh.

“I want to hear the opinion of Ms. Endah and Mr. Karni first,” Julio added.

Ms. Endah began to reveal the reason for her request to cancel the call of the student's parents.

Bu Endah recounts the background of the Sella family who had been known personally because they came from the same village.

Sella's father often treated his wife harshly as well as his son. Bu Endah said that maybe what Sella did was a form of stress relief experienced since childhood.

Ms Endah also said there were symptoms indicating that the short-haired female student had suicidal intentions. Therefore Miss Endah felt it would be better for now there are no things that could trigger her emotions further.

Julio listened intently to Endah's explanation. Now he quite understands why Ms. Endah seemed so desperate to undo the call of the student's parents.

“I actually agree with Ms. Endah sir, this time we should just law students. If later they commit violations again, then we call the parents of students,” said Mr. Karni gave an opinion.

Julio seemed to think for a moment. “I have another opinion... .”

“For female students, I will entrust this matter to Ms. Endah, as well as to the next. If there are female students who violate school rules, I will leave it to Ms. Endah and will not interfere with the decisions you make,” Julio said with a smile.

Ms. Endah seemed relieved by what Julio said even though it meant she had to put in more effort if there were similar issues.

“Then for male students?” ask Mr. Karni curious.

“To avoid envy from other students, I will go to one by one their parents.”

Julio's words made Mr. Karni widen his eyes because he was too surprised.

Ms. Endah was surprised by what the young teacher said.

“Pak Julio is serious?” ask Miss Endah.

“Ya,” reply Julio brief.

“But sir, Rion's parents...” Mr. Karni stopped his words in doubt.

“I will not involve Mr. Karni really, I will ask permission first to the curriculum and principal,” said Julio assured.

Mr. Karni and Ms. Endah did not say anything else even though the anxiety was clearly visible on the faces of both.

Julio simply smiled faintly then returned to his chair with a calm expression.
