Birmingham, 1919
Armistice

The wet, sticky ground stuck to the bottom of Thomas' boots as he stepped his foot somewhere. A place far from the city. Through the thick trees and shrubs of the forest to a field on the edge of the hill. The place where the gypsies gather and make life away from the urban hustle and bustle.

The cold air that signaled the end of spring began to slip behind Thomas's coat. Thomas's mouth let out steam as he breathed. From a distance began to look gipsy people who clustered in a circle beside the fireplace above which perched a pot filled with boiling water.

One of the gipsy crowd that was almost all male, was aware of the arrival of someone from a distance. As the man walked closer, his right hand reached into the pocket in his coat. And the man who realized Thomas' arrival immediately reached for the gun to whistle.

"Scot!" the man shouted, while taking out the revolver from the back pocket of his pants. The people around him did the same.

Thomas stopped walking. He raised his left hand into the air and slowly took out his right hand from inside the pocket, which turned out to be taking out a white handkerchief, a sign of peace. Everyone who was still pointing a gun at Thomas while staring at one who looked like the leader of the plot, waiting for the command.

The man lowered his weapon, then moved closer to Thomas. Thomas looked at the man's eyes without fear.

"I know, every gipsy bunch must be led by a woman. I want to meet him, I propose peace" Thomas said.

The man actually wanted to blow Thomas' head off right then and there, yet he still upheld his dignity and respected the meaning of the white cloth being waved. Another man came closer to search Thomas's clothes and Thomas was declared unarmed.

'Cummer!' The man spit to Thomas' side. "Follow me!"

The man stepped up, and Thomas followed him. Thomas was directed towards a caravan with a more beautifully decorated carving design compared to other caravans that looked simple.  The man then knocked on the caravan door.

'TUK!'

"The enemy has come and offered peace!" he said in gipsy language.

Thomas smiled with lightning, understanding what the man was saying. Thomas was born to a mother who was also a gypsy. Thomas was raised in a gipsy fashion, until his teens and mother died. Later he and his brother began to live more modern lives like the rest of England with his father in Birmingham.

'Shelf!'

The door was opened and looked old woman with curls and gipsy women's ornaments. With a sharp look, he gestured for Thomas to enter the caravan. Thomas did what was hinted at and the woman closed the door.

"You've killed a lot of my people!" she said in gipsy to Thomas.

"So much with your people. I want to end this war" Thomas replied in gipsy.

"Hem. You're half-gipsy" said the woman in English.

"My mom is a gipsy."

The woman fell silent and looked at Thomas from top to bottom. "There's always a price in every negotiation."

"Whatever the price, I'll pay for it."

Arthur and Jhonny wait anxiously for Thomas in Arthur's room. Thomas soon came up with an unpredictable facial expression. After Thomas was close enough to his two brothers, he patted Jhonny on the shoulder and looked at his sister.

"It's time for you to act for this family. I give you the task of ending this war with the Lee Brothers" Thomas said.

Jhonny is the fourth child, the youngest man in the Scott family. He was married and had three children. Among his brothers who have married, he is the most blessed child. But his marriage was not always happy, his wife died while giving birth to a third child. As long as she's not home, her kids are taken care of by the nanny. After his wife died, he began to often vent his loneliness on alcohol and violence.

In the Scott family, they all have their own duties. Thomas, the second son, the intelligent leader and the cold-blooded negotiator. Arthur, the first son, a symbol of family honor, violence is his way of getting what he wants. Adda, the third daughter who dislikes the way her family works as a mobster but she will always be ready if Thomas needs her. Jhonny, the fourth son who was least often given an important assignment by Thomas, considering he was the youngest but also the easiest of his fragile heart.

Now, Thomas assigns Jhonny an important task for the first time, so he will do it perfectly.

That morning, The Blinders had gathered with their signature coat stelan and beret hat. The Blinders got off the car consisting of 4 cars. All the members are gathered, the plan today Thomas has spread to all, except Jhonny. The car was parked just a few meters away from the Lee Brothers.

Arthur gives a scotch bottle from behind his suit, then gulps it down. Then he gave it to Jhonny beside him. Jhonny took a sip of scotch from that slender aluminum bottle. Scotch gave him the courage to face the war against the Lee Brothers today.

Thomas patted both of Jhonny's shoulders.

"You ready, Jhonny?" ask Thomas.

"Let's finish off the Lee Brothers!" exclaim Jhonny with a sharp look.

Thomas nodded, then pulled out a pin of a small white flower from his pocket and pressed it over Jhonny's right breast pocket and all the members of The Blinders smiled brightly as if preparing for a party. All members of The Blinders took out their flowers and placed them on their chests, like a groom's entourage.

Jhonny frowned and looked at Thomas in panic. "What are you planning?"

"Jhonny, there's a woman in there who needs a husband. You, a husband who needs a wife. We end this war in a way that does not shed blood. After I married The Alexanders, now I'm leaving this job to you!" obviously Thomas.

Jhonny was shocked to hear that. Frankly, she was never ready to get married again. But he wanted to mean something to this family.

Jhonny grunted irritatedly. "F!"

He snatched the bottle from Arthur and gulped it down like thirst. "Let's save this forking family!" his yell.

In the end Jhonny also did what is called sacrifice for the sake of family. With his brothers he stepped towards the Lee Brothers area. The crowd was full of gipsy people and flowers. Jhonny was stunned when she saw Anne, Adda and Aunt Poly were among the crowd in party clothes.

"****! They kept this from me!" as Jhonny said in her heart, she realized that her own family had set her up.

Jhonny also stood in front of the chief who was in charge of marrying the couple. He waited expectantly for the woman to be married. Gypsy women in the Lee Brothers group were dominated by women with fat stature and old age. Jhonny could not expect more, moreover this was a sacrifice as well as an armistice.

Before long a person in a white dress and white hood stood beside him. Jhonny stood before the woman and then opened the white veil that covered the face of her bride-to-be. The sight of a tanned black-eyed young woman with tanned patches around her nose and blushing cheeks makes her look so sweet, as a gypsy woman in need of a husband.

Smiling on Jhonny's lips as he looked at his bride, he glanced at Thomas with a gesture that read, "Well, not bad."

Thomas and Arthur looked at each other with a fluffy smile seeing his sister finally happy with the plan.
