The End Of The Blinders

Tok Tok Tok Tok Tok Tok Tok

Adda got up from the sofa when she heard a knock on the door of her apartment. At night like this you know exactly who's behind the door. Adda also opened the door of his apartment and saw someone who lately often spent the night with him. But now it's not the same. Adda already knew that Eddy approached her not merely because the man loved her, but to destroy her family.

"Huh..did you still dare to come here?" ask Adda with a ketus.

Eddy doesn't know why he's still coming to the apartment, but he's been unraveling the point of him approaching Adda-seeking something that could be evidence to put Thomas Scott in jail. He may have indeed used Adda for it, but his heart was troubled not to meet Adda despite one night.

Adda did not get any answer, he began swinging the door to close it. But Eddy held the door with his left palm.

"Adda, please."

Adda looked into Eddy's pitiful eyes. It is undeniable, Adda still wants to be with Eddy. But he also did not want to harm his family.

"Can we talk inside?" ask Eddy.

Adda sighed, then opened the door wide and let Eddy in. After closing the door, Adda returned to her sofa and Eddy followed sitting next to her.

"Did you come near me just to put Tommy in jail?" ask Adda to the point.

Eddy turned his head, looking at Adda's face that was not as warm as before. "I can't put Tommy in jail without proof."

"Then you approached me to look for evidence of that?" Adda turned. "If you get that evidence, then I'll go to jail with Tommy."

Eddy knew that. If he succeeds in proving that Thomas Scott is running a dark business, then not only will Thomas go to prison, but the entire Scott family including Adda. At first he did want to get that honor and get a promotion in the police. But now he's starting to consider it because of Adda.

"Adda, I don't want you involved in this case I'm working on. I want you out of your sister's company and away from Birmingham."

Adda was wide-eyed, not knowing why others like Eddy told her to stay away from her family. "What right do you have to tell me to leave Birmingham and stay away from my family?"

"I'm going to marry you. We'll stay in Manchester. As long as I handle this case, you wait for me in Manchester, when I'm done then I'll catch up with you."

Spontaneously Adda slapped the man sitting next to him.

'PLAC!''

"How dare you!" adda shouted, feeling made property by Eddy who seemed to make a decision.

Eddy received the slap. But he did not dwell, he hugged Adda even though Adda revolted and slapped her again and again.

'PLAC!'

"Get off from me!" Adda shed tears while continuing to hit Eddy who hugged him.

Adda realizes that what she and her family are doing is untruth. But that's what kept him alive. Living on a straight path is too difficult to live in Birmingham. Rich people who use their wealth to power arbitrarily, powerful people who use their power to blackmail small people, forced Thomas Scott to walk the risky path but that's what has kept him alive today. Being someone to be feared, having a running business to support the whole family.

Thomas gathers his entire family without Anne's knowledge. After an incident that nearly cost him his life and the life of his wife, Thomas orders Anne to stay home, not follow Thomas to work. Although Anne actually still likes to do various activities, but she understands Thomas's concern for his safety and the baby.

William and Charlotte are back in London. At home Anne did activities such as painting, reading books and learning to knit. Boring, but he doesn't want to trouble Thomas if he indulges his own ego.

"What's your relationship with Eddy?" thomas asked the entire Scott family.

Everyone looked at Adda. He could not avoid lying in front of his family. "I'm in a relationship with him."

Aunt Poly stared with a 'expected' look'.

"Adda, can you be in a relationship with someone normal?!" jhonny, annoyed.

Adda was offended by her sister's speech. "What do you mean?! Isn't that abnormal for us?"

Arthur stared hard. "Your father!"

"What's? Am I wrong?! Tommy, tell me am I wrong?!" Adda looked at Thomas with annoyance.

Thomas fell silent, justifying what his sister meant.

"We are not normal! Soon we'll all go to jail!" exciting Adda.

"Not if you don't get caught up in Eddy's trick! We're going to jail because of you!" jhonny won't lose.

Adda came forward with emotion preparing to hit his sassy sister.

"Both of you! Stop that!" bibi Poly shouted directly to mediate Adda and Jhonny.

"This is not the time to blame each other. We have to think of a solution!" said Thomas.

Adda looked at Thomas. "The solution is we leave this dark business! We run a whiskey company that is legal. And stop your gangster game!"

Thomas knew it was the only solution, but stopping his dark business was tantamount to disbanding The Blinders who were already part of his family. Although Thomas was eventually The Blinders would be over, but not now. He still wants to finish off the enemy that almost hurt him and his family yesterday.
