Kahar and his newly-discovered Captain Charlie step foot in the rain which slowly closes the day. The two pairs of legs were speeding similarly towards the university. From a distance that soon disappeared, there was the sound of a simple shot.
“It came from the right wing,” hissed Captain Charlie in his tiger mode. Kahar jumps over the fence followed by Captain Charlie, they once again run hoping that his steps are not less fast with bad luck.
“Battle awaits on every side since you have the power, right?” ask Captain Charlie a question as he continues to run behind Kahar.
The question does not want an answer. Kahar kept running until they arrived at the pond of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Affairs, where Kahar first met Clara. This time, not Clara who was in trouble there, there were two black-clothed soldiers lying helplessly there covered in fresh blood.
...----------------...
Panic calls came radio communication. Squad two is in trouble. I don't know what comes to them, which is definitely a life-threatening figure. Squad one immediately ran from the pool. Not far away from their steps, several monster figures flew out from the pond.
Corbetti who was in the back row managed to be arrested mmonster. Corbetti's rifle broke in two while trying to hold the creature. The grin of the slimy disgusting monster repeatedly tried to tear off Corbetti's helmet. From the front, Hartono and Amonsis fired a shot that was done carefully not to touch Corbetti. One monster died, the remaining four came to them. The sprawled Corbetti now stood up again, grabbed the kerambit knife and attacked one monster from behind. Puncture many times he blasts and is able to stab. However, it is useless. The monster lays a backhand punch that quickly levitates Corbetti.
Hartono and Amonsis continued to shoot the distracted monster. Three more dead. The rest of the one that ran fast, the monster ignored the pain it received from the sharp bullet. The final attack was able to give the monster to Amonsis' stomach through its sharp claws that tore off the protective uniform. The monster died with Amonsis.
“Ferdinand, survive!” corbetti's screams tried to bounce back from the pain. As Corbetti tried to get up, he opened the cracked helmet and protective mask. The face of an old man was covered with wrinkles. Corbetti, who kept trying to get up, was not able to do that. Finally he dragged his body towards the lying Amonsis.
“Corbetti, wait there. I'll call for help,” lontar Hartono try to contact another team. “Regu three in, Amonsis seriously injured, hello? Login!” snapped Hartono on radio communications. There's no answer.
“Frans, I'm home, friend,” blow Amonsis slowly. Eyes stared blankly at the sky that was soaked in his wound. Blood kept coming out from the gaping wound.
“I can stop this bleeding, stay with me, Sir.” Hartono pressed the wound. Trying to do what he remembers from his training first.
“Stop,” says weak Amonsis.
Corbetti, who was dragging his body, had reached beside his sidekick. He lay down and held tightly onto Amonsis' hand. From the eyes of the soldier let out tears swept by the rain. Corbetti's hand was returned by Amonsis.
“Take it easy, now you can retire,” whispered Corbetti. Amonsis's hand cooled, this is not the cause of the rain. This cold hints a life is finished. Amonsis's tight grip had become weak. One man has fallen for good.
Corbetti couldn't hold back his tears. He was bathed in blood, tears, and rain that brought sorrow. Corbetti tried to get up again but still could not.
“Possibly my neck is broken, son. Go, it'll be dangerous if you're alone here. Just a game of time until death comes.” Corbetti. The injury was too bad. He could no longer continue the battle. Two people have been sprawled there without a headstone marking their bodies. Hartono who obeyed the order finally went to squads two and three in the laboratory.
...----------------...
“You? Frans? Ferdinand?” ask Captain Charlie to two of his sprawled men. From his tone, he did not sound like a tiger. Captain Charlie's tone was soft.
“Captain, sorry I lost,” whispered Corbetti with the rest of the breath he had. Captain Charlie immediately lifted Corbetti's body and said slowly, “Defend, Frans. I'll take you away.”
“Thank you,” Corbetti said before the ladder rolled down. Eyes closed. Out of the mouth came blood. This is the end of a soldier. Captain Charlie raised his head high, lowering Corbetti's body.
Tears did not come out, the tiger's eyes again looked as sharp as a tiger. The sound of gunfire rang out incessantly from the direction of the laboratory.
“We continue,” said Captain Charlie steadfastly. Kahar looked at the figure of Captain Charlie who was strong with the death of people around him. Captain Charlie's eyes were sobbing, his lips were tightly clenched, and his forehead was furrowed deeply. His body felt extremely tense, as if he was struggling to contain himself from looking weak in front of Kahar. However, Captain Charlie was seen occasionally exhaling deeply and closing his eyes, as if he could not face the suffering he felt. Behind his stubbornness, it is clear that he is experiencing a very difficult mental state.
Kahar looked very lost as well, seeing Captain Charlie, he recalled Uncle Samsul. Kahar's eyes were glazed over, and he kept looking at Captain Charlie. His hands trembled as he tried to wash his face from the water that kept coming rushing. Kahar seemed to feel extremely guilty, as if he felt unable to protect the Uncle Samsul he cared about. However, he remains steadfast on the task he must complete, although it is clear that Kahar is devastated by the loss he recently experienced. Kahar's face was filled with deep sadness and pain.
“Battle is like this, son. You cry, cry is indeed speechless but speak many things – Faisal Oddang. Save your tears, Son.”
...----------------...
“My eggs are up, my magazine is up.” Virganta retreated and prepared with a flurry in front, in case the jerk monster was able to break through the barrage of fire.
“Retreat!” yell out loud Altaica tried to beat the sound of the weapon.
“Don't let them get close, keep firing,” he continued.
Hartono's state in the middle of the battle against monsters was so depressed and fearful. He was unsure about what to do and felt threatened by the monster. Hartono may feel physically ready, but not mentally prepared to face the battle, only this time he saw such an enemy in his military career. As a new member, Hartono did not have much experience in strange battles like this. He felt uncertain about how to handle this situation. Hartono once again felt pressured by the pressure to meet the team's expectations and to protect his friends, moreover he had only lost two of his squad mates.
“Don't let your guard down, Bengal! Keep firing while there's still bullets!” yell constantly Altaica.
“I ran out of bullets, they were too many,” scream Sumaterae then forward prepare with kerambit. Six people with rifles left bullets, kept blaring in the narrow glass-walled room.
“If you run out of bullets and magazines, prepare for close combat with kerambit. While there are still bullets, protect us.” Altaica is now the one who pulled out the kerambit.
Not good, very bad. That midget creature is endless. Shootouts are dwindling, allowing the horde to reach Altaica, Sumatrae and Virganta on the front lines. With all their might and with all the abilities they can. The three of them fought the little monster who bit with razor-sharp little teeth.
Wounds began to scratch their legs, Balica who eventually ran out of bullets, came forward and beat the monster with a rifle butt. He fought brutally. Striking the monster indiscriminately. Sumatore fell, he started getting swarmed by monsters.
“Protect, Sumaterae.” Altaica grabbed her fallen weapon, beating the monster that was about to approach the wounded Sumatran.
“I'm out of bullets.” Hartono, the last gunman, dropped his weapon. He knew it was impossible to fight the monster by hand. The monster was so cruel and fast. The proof is Sumatrae who has not fought anymore, her body fused with the floor. Chaos was present, only this time the elite troops were made razor-shredded.
“STAY YOUR ROTTEN HANDS FROM MY MEN!” yelled a voice followed by a roar that broke the ears and literally broke the glass around the laboratory.
With his own eyes, Hartono who had run out of hope, saw the figure of a tiger jumping – lunging at the monster alone. Hartono's eyes were fixed on the claws and seemed to be in disbelief with what he saw.
“You're all out, a friend is coming,” Captain Charlie orders while destroying the rest of the horde of monsters. As if attracted by Captain Charlie's large tiger body, the mob focused on him. Gives an opportunity for the troops who can still stand out and carry their unconscious comrades.
Hartono who was the last to come out, actually he was still reluctant to dissolve his eyes from seeing the power of Captain Charlie. Altaica who realizes a less, goes in again and pulls Hartono, “Benggala, now or not at all.” Hartono nodded then left the tiger to fight alone. Calmness could finally come on those three squads.
“Back to the truck, bring the injured.” The injured Altaica in the right eye walks first.
“But Captain Charlie? Wait a minute, that's right Captain Charlie?” tanya is worried about Hartono the Bengal.
“You've only been here a day, it's not the craziest thing there is. Let's return soldier,” explained Sondaica.
The six of them who were still able to walk were about to return when suddenly the rain grew heavy and lightning struck out of direction. The storm this time arrived with its strongest fury.
“Hold!” altaica orders when she realizes something is in front of them. Through his left eye that is still looking. Altaica looked at the figure hidden in the darkness. The one who has armor.
“What do we do?”
“That must be the enemy!”
“NECKING OUT IF YOU DON'T WANT TO DIE!”
