Apocalypse Monster

Apocalypse Monster
Chapter 191: The Meeting

—Sunday, 28 December 2025—

His bad premonition was proven and this included a terrible disaster. In just one night, the sky was very dark in the absence of light, temperatures dropped sharply to below freezing, and visibility was very short.

The Armonia Guild had to pour money to make light and that was only Longquan Mountain. Not entirely because Magic Stones were very expensive.

Because of this, Natan's initial plans to travel, were forced to be postponed until an unknown time. He could only wait at home, hugging his wives to warm up.

But Natan was not idle, he still used the Skeleton Squad to patrol and kill monsters. Skeleton could use his skills like Appraisal, Distance Vision, Night Vision and Sharp Eyes which were useful in the darkness.

Although Natan only used Mana to resurrect the skeleton, but he still had his own burden. He had to observe the 1,260 tab screen interface in front of him to search for information through the skeleton.

At this moment, all the members of the Armonia Guild gathered in the Palace Hall, along with the Head of the Department and the Alexander Family.

"Agatha."

"Here, Chief." Agatha bowed beside Natan with the intention of greeting and respecting.

"How have the financial and economic reports been since I didn't exist?" Although Natan could see a lot of money in the guild's storage, but there was still a lot of money that was not kept in the inventory.

Agatha opened the tablet and read out the report. "Our money keeps growing and all that money can feed ten thousand years to everyone, but we know the food from the Traveler's Shop isn't worth eating. As for the economy, despite the snowstorm and solar storm coming, the economy still continues to run well because of the farms, farms and plantations we manage ..."

"But because of this sudden disaster, the money turnover in the city came to a halt. Many shops are closed. Although we can do it in an underground city, but it's devoted to adult entertainment, so it doesn't have much impact on economic progress."

"According to a report from the Department of Agriculture, Livestock and Plantation. They can still work, and the magic tools we developed can accelerate the growth process even in a disaster like this."

Natan gave a small nod, then he asked all the Departments to give a report. Especially the Blacksmith Department, Alchemy and Drug Department, Tool and Magic Department, Defense Department, Attack Department.

As long as he wasn't here, many powerful monsters were attacking blindly, but luckily everything was still under control.

Natan sighed and leaned on the back of the chair. He closed his eyes while massaging the nasal bones between his eyes.

"Nathan! See Tab No.873!" Adrian who sat in the Outer Seat, pointed at the interface screen tab.

The Outer Chairs were the seats surrounding the Main Chairs (Guilders Chair, Core Members and Department Chair). The Outer Seat was filled by the newly joined members of the Armonia Guild and the Alexander Family.

His position setting was a ten meter long table with a width of three meters. Natan was in a central place facing the exit, the Head of Department on the left-right. The Outer Seat sits behind the Head of Department with its own table for each person.

Natan waved her hand, making Tab No.873 floating behind her move to the middle of the table. He noticed that one of the skeletons had already arrived on the icy landmass that was Antarctica, he sent it there to find out if there were any oddities.

Indeed, he could see that only this place was different where it was not dark, but rather light as it was during the day.

Whoooooooshes!

A flash of red light shot out, splitting the air and destroying the sent skeleton.

Tab No.873 lost connection, showing only black screen.

This shocked everyone present in the Palace Hall. The attack just happened all of a sudden with no warning at all, and there was already an explosion that destroyed the skeleton.

"What was that?" Nathan sees everyone, making sure it's not just him who doesn't know it.

"From the sudden destruction, there was a possibility it was a monster above Level 800." Harlod revealed his observations which are based only on “Possibility”.

Natan nodded her head, although she was not very trusting, but it was fine to hold up the answer and think about it again.

Natan turned her head to the left looking at Brianna who was sitting next to him. "Do you know who they are?"

Brianna shook her head in response to that question.

"The Devil."

That answer caught everyone's attention, they saw Ainsley who appeared behind Natan.

"What does that mean?" Natan did not really understand if it was only that simple, he wanted to ask for a more complete explanation.

Ainsley walked in front of Natan and wanted to sit on Natan's lap, but did not so so share a seat with Brianna. "A few days ago, we lost. The dimensional gap is open in Antarctica, because outside monster attacks are too frequent, we can only check it after this disaster comes. The Devil Race had already planned something there, they killed humans and monsters to take resources, then built tools to open dimensions and connect the two worlds."

"Their level is above 700, I've killed four out of six. One was still standing guard there, and the other one ran away when I met him in Africa." Ainsley smiled faintly after saying so, she patted Natan's thigh.

Nathan raised his eyebrows. "What's that smile for? You're asking for a compliment?"

Ainsley snorted coldly. "Is it like you're talking? Before you were so funny, you even asked for a hug and a gendo—"

Natan silenced Ainsley's mouth so as not to speak further about the shameful matter earlier.

The Head of the Department and the Alexander Family looked at each other, they were at a loss as to what was really going on about Natan and Ainsley's talk other than about the Devil Race.

Natan coughed several times without releasing her hand from Ainsley's mouth. He looked at everyone who was looking at him. "For now, guard back one wall, let the outside be guarded Skeleton Squad. Then use all the Magic Stones to maintain the lighting until everything returns to how it was. Maybe it'll take away our savings, but it's better than staying in the dark like this."

Natan looked at everything, and while making sure no one was denying his decision, he gave a small nod. "That's just the meeting this time. If there's a problem, come straight to report."

The Head of Department stood up, facing towards Natan and bowing his body with his right hand crossed in front of his chest. Then they turned towards the exit after compiling their respective seats.

Alexander's family left the Palace Hall followed by Brianna.

Natan wanted to join, but he canceled his intention because he was not too connected to the Alexander Family. If it wasn't for his mother, maybe he wouldn't have come to them in England and let her die there.

Natan looked at Ainsley who was still beside him. She wondered why her mother had let Ainsley here, usually her mother would always pull Ainsley away from her.

"What am I supposed to do, should I attack Antarctica?"

"With your present strength?" Ainsley raised next to his eyebrows. "You must be dead, and I don't want that."

"Aren't you too rude to say I must be dead."

Ainsley snorted coldly. "You yourself called me “Bibi”, isn't that rude as well."

Natan was silent for a moment while scratching his head. He coughed a few times, then switched the conversation. "So, do I have to sit here waiting for death without doing anything?"

"You can send all the skeletons to hunt while you're here. Now I have to go find the fleeing demon." Ainsley patted Natan on the shoulder as she stood up, then left the place without waiting for Natan to reply.

Natan scratched her cheek as she smiled bitterly. "Don't that mean I didn't do anything?"
