Apocalypse Monster
Chapter 144: Against the Spirit of the Forest

Natan did not dare to chase after the Forest Spirit that had fallen, it was because the zombies in the surroundings had risen back up and moved to protect the Forest Spirit. He simply waited above the Bee Knight who had brought him, and waited for the Forest Spirit to return into the air.

The Forest Spirit rose from within the hole with debris falling from his body. The wound on his stomach had already recovered, and the blood that had stuck to it disappeared. He could easily recover, as he was a spirit and had regenerative abilities. It was impossible to be killed except once the attack destroyed him, or when his Mana was depleted and could no longer use his abilities.

The Forest Spirit rubbed his lips as it floated slowly leaving the land. "To think there are humans like this, but, Ancestor Monsters will rise up and kill all of you! When that comes, the monsters will rule twenty worlds and the Guardians will die enslaves!"

Natan did not care much about the words of the Forest Spirit, what he was thinking about now was how the Forest Spirit could fly. "Am I stupid? Ayumi could make Flying Magic Items, it was not strange if monsters could fly."

"But, if I could choose, I would rather fight on land. After all, fighting without a foothold is very difficult."

With a sword in his right hand and a sniper rifle in his left hand, Natan stomped her feet on the back of the Knight Bee. Then he shot out like a black shadow moving through the air.

The spirit of the forest did not remain silent. A violent wind storm came from behind him with hundreds of leaves like mango leaves, the tip was sharp like a sword and it moved very quickly towards Natan.

"Shadow Step."

Natan turned into a black shadow to avoid the attack of the Forest Spirit. The movement was very fast in the air— suddenly in front of the Forest Spirit with the sword re-raised.

The Forest Spirit had already predicted Natan's arrival and recalled the previous attack. He protected the top of his head and stomach to ward off attacks.

Nathan smiled thinly. He no longer used the same steps as before. The sword he carried continued to descend following the swing of his hand.

Jem!

The sword cut off half of the Forest Spirit's left hand, and was restrained by the hard object within his hand to continue descending.

The Spirit of the Forest whimpered as his hand was almost severed. But it soon recovered and saw a gap in Natan's attack. He used his clenched right hand, swinging it directly towards Natan's stomach, replying to the previous attack.

Nathan raised his left leg.

Cracks!

The blow of the Forest Spirit was so powerful that it made his leg bones crack, and it was extremely painful. But, Natan was still grateful rather than being exposed to her stomach which might destroy her internal organs.

Natan took Sako TRG Mana, directly aimed it at the forehead of the Forest Spirit and pulled the trigger.

The Forest Spirit sensed the menacing danger, in a split second, it tilted its head to dodge the attack.

Bang out!

The shot this time did not use a silencer, and his voice was so loud in the ears of the Forest Spirit that it made him bleed.

Nathan himself did not cry out how a spirit, let alone a spirit made from a tree could bleed.

Utilizing the state of the Forest Spirit who was still losing balance due to the sound of explosions in the ears. Nathan pushed the sword down even deeper.

A slash!

The hand of the Forest Spirit was cut off, and the sword was directly stuck on the collarbone.

The Spirit of the Forest instantly came to a realization when the pain radiating from his left hand was cut off, especially for the collarbone. His shoulders looked blackened, and it continued to spread, making him look old like a withered tree.

"Brength*!" The Forest Spirit shook his right hand.

Suddenly there was a tree root coming out from the shoulder of the Spirit Forest, it darted like a snake chasing its prey towards Natan.

"Damn!" Natan cursed in annoyance when he saw the roots that attacked his chest. He crossed the two weapons in front of his chest.

A metallic sound rang out loud as the attack of the Forest Spirit struck Natan's weapon, sending Natan darting like a falling meteor.

Rou Forest raised his right hand. "The Root of Death!"

A great tremor occurred on the ground, then huge cracks appeared on the surface until it created a deep abyss. It let out a small sprout, but it instantly developed into a wild tree root like an octopus tentacle.

The roots of the tree shot up into the sky, chasing after the fallen Natan.

Whoooooooshes!

Suddenly there was a fireball that shot out like a meteor, it was not one or two, but rather a dozen fireballs that fell into the center of the tree roots.

Boom up! Boom up! Boom up!

That fireball attack destroyed the tree roots like tentacles, along with killing thousands of zombies underneath without leaving a trace.

At that time, the amount of Exp Point required was sufficient. Natan instantly managed to rise to level 578, all the injuries he received were healed in the blink of an eye, his blood also increased even though it was not immediately full.

It would be amazing if Health and Mana were fully charged immediately if it managed to raise the level. If so, it could be considered immortal if it leveled up when the blood would run out when only one attack was left.

Ayumi and Erina come. The two flew together, rather Erina was tied up using a controlled lightning chain so as not to injure the fellow.

Erina shot out like a cannonball. "Provokes!"

The Forest Spirit who was originally staring intently at Natan, suddenly felt a strange feeling and was furious when he saw Erina. It was as if he was looking at a mortal enemy he had long wanted to kill.

The Forest Spirit raised his hand, starting to cast spells to release the strongest magic. Mysterious characters appeared around him like ancient letters surrounding his body.

"Interject!" Erina pushed the shield she carried in her left hand, pushing it into the air in front of her which led to the Forest Spirit.

A whooshing sound, and at that very instant, the Forest Spirit could not move, even the spell he had read had failed.

Erina positioned her right hand at the waist, then pushed it with all her might forward. "Light Stab!"

The sword he was carrying emitted a golden-coloured radiance, the light was moving, gathering at the end. Then, that laser-like sword light emerged from his sword, darting towards the Forest Spirit.

The Forest Spirit that was frozen without protection, could only accept attacks resignedly.

The sword light pierced the chest of the Forest Spirit as deep as an inch.

"Lightning Threads!"

A shout came from Ayumi who raised her magic wand. There were countless blue threads with electric shocks that shot towards the Forest Spirit and bound him.

Erina, falling from the sky due to running out of thrust. But, despite falling, Erina was not afraid and still released the attack. "The Word of Judgment!"

A sword tens of meters tall appeared above the Forest Spirit. It gave off an extremely powerful aura, and with a swing of Erina's hand, the sword fell down.

Nathan turned into a shadow again after his ability could be used. He moved towards Erina and caught her in his arms.

Just when Natan managed to catch Erina and leave from there, the great sword shot out like a lightning bolt that struck with the Forest Spirit beneath it.

Boom up!

The sword struck the ground, giving rise to air waves that swept around it, killing zombies that were hit by sharp pebbles like bullet blasts.

"Thunderstorm!"

Suddenly, thunder boomed in the sky with a blue glint appearing. Then, those flashes of lightning gathered at one point, then fell smashing into the Forest Spirit lying on the ground after the golden sword disappeared.

"Fire Arrow! Fire Meteorite! Fire Tornado! Explosion!" Ayumi unleashed a barrage of attacks.

The arrows fell like rain attacking the Forest Spirit, passed on with fireballs like meteors, then came the fire tornado that sucked anything around it and set it on fire, then continued with a loud explosion like a missile.

The giant mushroom-shaped flame was visible with the temperature rising sharply.

Natan did not attack her anymore and came beside Ayumi with Erina who was in her arms. He also observed the blood of the Forest Spirit that was constantly diminishing, then went back up and again reduced again. It continued over and over until the Mana Spirit Forest was completely depleted.

A wind storm came out of nowhere, it was like thousands of swords striking blindly and blowing smoke blocking the view.

Seen, the heavily injured Forest Spirit was inside a hole in the hot ground without being able to move.

Seeing that, the three of them descended slowly from the sky to the Forest Spirit. Of course, the Bee Knights also came down together to keep the zombies from getting close.
