MR Chapter 28: Brian's Rejection

Arriving at the Marsello family mansion, a few servants immediately came out to welcome their young Master. 

" Welcome, young master," greeted all the servants in unison with bowed heads. 

Brian also lowered his head a little q in return for their greeting. The handsome man resumed his steps towards the place where Daddy Samuel was.

" Hi Dad," said Brian to the middle-aged man who was sitting casually in the backyard. 

" Hey, Bri. You just arrived?" samuel asked as he closed the document he had read.

" Yes" Brian answered briefly, sitting in an empty chair near Samuel.

" Bri, can you reduce your cold attitude towards Daddy" asked Samuel as he looked at Brian.

Brian only let out a long sigh without answering Samuel's request.

" What does Daddy need to call Brian?"

Samuel smiled, then patted Brian on the shoulder." Can't a father ask his son to come home? After all, you have not been home for a long time, "samuel said. Because, since Anne came to NY about a month ago, Brian never returned to the mansion.

" Are you mad at Daddy, Bri? "question Samuel, who began to open the conversation again after a few minutes of silence between the two.

" Yeah, Brian replied honestly who was angry and upset with Samuel over the incident last night. To be honest, Brian never thought if the matchmaking plan continued. Because, from the beginning Brian had rejected a match between the Wilson family and Marsello.

" I'm sorry Daddy, Bri. But Daddy has already agreed that your engagement will be held soon."

Brian seemed to be struck by lightning in the morning when he heard Daddy's words. How could Daddy Samuel agree to something so important in Brian's life without asking for his approval first.

" Dad, are you serious? "

"  Yes, Daddy's serious! " samuel replied with a serious face, signifying that the middle-aged man was not messing around with his words. 

" Daddy's crazy!" Brian got up from his seat. "May Daddy agree to something without asking Brian first!"

" Bri!" samuel snapped when he saw Brian who began to be disrespectful to him, even saying that he was crazy.

" why? Daddy doesn't like Brian's words?"

"Oh .. yes ... Thanks, Dad. But, Daddy must also remember, that Brian is not a piece that can be arranged! Because Brian also has the right to choose Brian's life path. So, please stop the match."

"Why should Daddy cancel it? Didn't you say Cassidy was a pretty good woman?" samuel asked puzzled as to why his son had refused so hard. 

" Brian talks like that just to talk stale in front of his parents, nothing more, "and Brian who rushed to leave.

" Do you love other women, Bri?" ask Samuel who feels like there's something Brian's hiding from him.

Brian stopped his steps for a moment.

"Yes, Brian already loves another woman. So, if Daddy doesn't want to lose Daddy's only son, please don't force Bri to get engaged to Cassidy." Brian threatened Samuel to let him ruin the match. Because maybe Brian was engaged to a woman who could be said to be very unfavorable.

" Who is he?"

Instead of answering, Brian just passed away without telling who the woman he loved. It certainly made Samuel feel annoyed and mobilized all his men to prevent Brian out of the Mansion. 

When he saw the guards who suddenly surrounded him, made Brian surprised and inexhaustible with the way of his daddy's mind.

" What does Daddy mean?" brian snapped which began to ignite emotions. 

" Just answer Daddy's question, who's that woman. After that Daddy will let you go, but if you don't want to say it don't expect to get out of this mansion." Now, it was Samuel's turn to threaten. The middle-aged man had stronger strength than Brian so he could do anything if he wanted to get what he wanted. 

" Why is Daddy acting like this? "

" Aren't you the first one to start? So, just answer Daddy's questions, it's easy, right? " Samuel did not want to lose. He was eager to know who the woman who had melted the heart of his only child was.

Brian was still speechless, trying to think whether he should tell the truth?

" She___"

Samuel seemed enthusiastic to listen to Brian tell him who the woman he loved was.
