Chapter 20: Being jealous of each other

Eylaria followed the direction pointed by Nicolas, her eyes meeting the figure of the man she had been looking for. That Arlo, in his full navy blue suit, looked extremely handsome and dashing.

Although there was an elderly man in front of them talking to her and Megan, Arlo did not take his attention away from Eylaria at all.

He had seen Eylaria and Nicolas since they entered the ballroom and managed to steal his attention. The white-faced and off-shoulder canal, featuring Eylaria's white shoulder and neckline, managed to make Arlo overheated to impatiently approach him.

“They are approaching Mr. William, Uncle Shaun. To cooperate with us.” Obviously Nicolas without Eylaria asked.

“Owhh...,” Reply Eylaria briefly.

“Who is Nicolas?” A familiar voice came to them, who else if not Arlo.

“You don't know him?” Ask Nicolas. Eylaria rolled her eyes lazily.

“So please, I just got this beautiful woman from a boutique.” Nicolas replied chuckling.

“Can I get acquainted, beautiful woman?” Asked Arlo who was already sitting on the seat beside Eylaria.

“You are very handsome and attractive, but sorry, I am not interested in getting acquainted with you.” Eylaria answered prettier expensive.

Arlo's hands slid and grabbed Eylaria's waist abruptly, leaving their bodies very close apart.

“You're playing with me?” Arlo's whisper looked fat.

“No..., quickly release...The event will start...,” Tegur Eylaria in a panic, and again the MC says it will start the event soon.

Arlo smiled nosily, happy to tease Eylaria who blushed in embarrassment. Nicolas and Megan are just pretending not to see them.

The anniversary event began with the opening of a speech from Mr. Becker's the birthday. Clapping cheers greeted the man as he took to the stage after the MCs invited him.

“First of all, I thank the Lord who always protected and blessed me until I was still standing and given the breath of life for so long. I also thank all colleagues, who have taken the time to attend this celebration of my birthday.” Mr. Becker paused before continuing.

“I also thank a woman who has gifted me this jade bracelet..,” Mr. Becker showed me the bracelet he had on his right hand.

“As he said, this is not a genuine item, nor do I care. But I was touched, impressed by his intentions. He respects me as a parent, not honors my status as an entrepreneur.” Eylaria was moved because of Mr. Becker was appreciating his gift.

“Thank you Eylaria, you have given me a very meaningful gift today, treat me as an old man who now needs more warmth than material.” Continue Mr. Becker stared at Eylaria who was sitting not far from the stage.

Arlo pulled Eylaria's hand to stand up, awkwardly Eylaria stood up and bowed politely to Mr. Becker's. All applauded welcoming the sincerity of the two people.

“You're cool...,” Nicolas puts his two thumbs on Eylaria.

“I'm really embarrassed, why did you tell me to stand..” Omel Eylaria patted Arlo on the shoulder.

“It would be rude if you didn't stand up, let alone Mr. Becker blatantly mentioned your name.” Replied Arlo smiling proudly.

The time has shown at 20:00, the dinner is over and switch to a relaxing event, the guests talk to each other while drinking the available drinks.

“Excuse me..,” Mr. Shaun greeted between Arlo and Eylaria who were standing with Nicolas and Megan.

“Ya?” Ask Mr. Arlo's.

“Sorry, interrupt the time for a moment..,” Mr. Permission. Shaun was friendly, but his eyes were not sidetracked at Eylaria who was staring at the confusion there, unsure if Mr. Shaun spoke to him.

“I personally, would like to thank Eylaria. Papa's very happy, get a little gift from you. Currently, our company is developing a new project, and we intend to cooperate with your company.” Obviously Mr. Shaun made the four of them who heard him gape in shock.

“And my Uncle, Mr. William, saying the same thing, was also pleased to cooperate with Mr. Arlo.”

“Wahh, of course we welcome him with pleasure Mr. Shaun...” Reply Arlo reached out his hand to shake hands with Mr. Shauns.

“Thank you...,” Said Eylaria was happy to have a good impact on her company.

“And, if you'd like, I'd like to invite Eylaria to dinner together tomorrow.”

“Ahh no need... You don't have to bother.” Reject Eylaria politely.

“Consider to return your sincerity..,” Persuade Shaun not to give up.

Arlo's face looked hardened, Shaun was trying to get close to Eylaria? Just be right! Nicolas and Megan glanced at each other looking at Arlo who seemed to be getting upset.

“No need, you do not need to bother to reply to him, I gladly and sincerely reward Mr. Becker's. After all, it was a small meaningful thing. Saw Mr. Becker likes it, I've been very flattered.” Eylaria replied politely.

“If so you still refuse, what if I invite you to dinner to get to know you?” Shaun asked without hesitation.

“Honestly I am interested in you and want to get acquainted more closely.” Shaun replied without hesitation. Eylaria was stunned by Mr. honesty. Shaun, the man is sweet-faced and about 35 years old.

“Sorry Mr. Shaun, your offer of cooperation of course we accept it with pleasure, but your dinner request to Eylaria, we obviously refused it. Eylaria already has a fiancee and is getting married soon.” Cut Arlo quickly.

“Oh yes? It'sit's okay. I've guessed it, a woman as special as this, can't still be single. I should apologize for being sassy..” replied Mr. Shaun with a slightly disappointed face.

“What the fuck are you?” Omel Eylaria on Arlo after Mr. Shaun's gone.

“Why? You're disappointed to refuse his dinner invitation?” Ask Arlo without feeling

“It's not like that.., but you can subtly reject it right?” Eylaria Protests.

“Did I just subtly reject it?”

“Sure, you were too forthright, how about he hurt?”

Arlo's face showed dislike, disliking Eylaria defending Shaun.

“Nicolas, Megan, we go back first..,” Arlo said then immediately pulled Eylaria's hand to go from there.

“Okee...” Nicolas and Megan answered, nodding their heads, not wanting to interfere with the two love affairs.

“Where are we going? Why come home suddenly?” Eylaria asked who protested that her hand was being forcibly pulled by Arlo.

Arlo did not reply, he simply pulled Eylaria towards the parking lot where her car was parked.

“Sign in...,” Arlo's command when opening the car door. Eylaria, who knew Arlo was angry, had to comply. But he doesn't understand why Arlo should be angry with him.

“Why are you angry?” Eylaria asked started to get annoyed because Arlo seemed careless.

“You asked why I was angry?”

“From yesterday you acted arbitrarily.. If not angry what is his name?” Tegur Eylaria was upset.

Arlo let out a rough sigh, easing his emotions that were hot, but he also did not want to fuss with Eylaria, let alone make the woman cry and sad.

“You could have nagged me just because I rejected Shaun... Do you really want to have dinner with him?” Asked Arlo gently, already lowering his emotions. Eylaria shook her head.

“Then?” Ask Arlo patiently.

“But I'm not feeling good, why do you have to say I already have a fiancee and will get married soon? Couldn't you allow me to answer it myself even though I must have rejected it as well? It was disrespectful, you lied to her.” Eylaria replied.

Arlo looked gently at the woman beside him, there was guilt in his heart.

“Alright, forgive me, okay? I just don't like it he wants to approach you.., sorry, okay??” Arlo reached out his hand, grabbed Eylaria's shoulder and hugged her. Eylaria did not immediately approve, she still felt annoyed at Arlo.

“Why didn't you tell me you were coming tonight?” Ask Arlo in his arms.

“You told me to tell Nicolas yourself and didn't Megan come with you?” Eylaria answered a little sniffy and squeaky.

“Are you jealous?” Asked Arlo who felt Eylaria's irritation on him.

“No...,” Eylaria replied quickly.

“Heiii.., I think you're jealous.” Tempted Arlo again.

“No! We have nothing to do anyway. We both have the right to choose our life partner.” Eylaria replied involuntarily raising her tone.

“Hmm, engg..., are you sure we have nothing to do?” Arlo asked hissing in Eylaria's ear.

“Engggg...,” Eylaria replied nodding her head without looking at Arlo.

Arlo rubbed the cheek of the sweet lady before him. The cheeks were red and slightly hot, Arlo smiled loosely, seeing Eylaria looking jealous, so funny.

Eylaria did not dare to look at Arlo's face, she was too embarrassed to show her jealousy. He felt his whole body become stiff when the man touched him, there was another sensation when he was with Arlo.

“I should have approached you during the game Truth or Dare at that time Ey..”.

“Have you liked me for a long time?” Eylaria asked curiously.

“Well, even I think, I've liked you since we first met. It feels like something keeps pulling me to always pay attention to you.” Reply Arlo honestly and without hesitation.

“Really? Why don't I feel it?” Goda Eylaria is expensive selling.

“You don't feel it?”

“Alright, you want to feel it again?” Goda Arlo brought her body closer to Eylaria with a seductive face.

“Takkkk....,” Eylaria who understood Arlo's intentions immediately encouraged the man to return to his driving seat.

“Don't mess around, let's go back..,” Exclaimed Eylaria, Arlo smiled happily to see the woman blush.
