Chapter 16: Gossip resigns.
Eylaria decided to go into the office after feeling her body had improved. Today his body is much fresher, although occasionally still feels sleepy. Eylaria smiled greeting the office colleagues who also greeted her as she headed for the study.
After putting down her bag, Eylaria immediately headed for Arlo's room to tidy up the room as usual. Since Arlo usually isn't in his office early in the morning, Eylaria is used to entering without knocking, just like that day, she opens the door and enters Arlo's room.
Eylaria's move was halted because she was shocked by Arlo's figure who had occupied her office that morning. Eylaria checked her watch immediately, showing it at 08:05 a.m. Ordinary new Arlo will come around 08:30.
“Excuse Mr. Arlo, I am permission to tidy up your room..” Excited Eylaria politely.
“Hmm, starting today you do not need to tidy up my room.” Said Arlo without looking at Eylaria.
Eylaria gasped at the command. His heart ached, but he forced himself to smile in front of Arlo.
“Alright.., I excuse you..” Reply Eylaria politely and resign.
Upon returning to her room, Eylaria was shaking her face, her tears were coming back, her head was in pain.
“Am I that bad?” Eylaria then turned on her computer, immediately typing the letter resign and print it.
“What is this? Why not print out?” Excited Eylaria who was upset because the print machine in her room suddenly damaged.
Unwilling to wait, Eylaria prints her resignation letter to a connected printer in the workspace outside. Eylaria who immediately came out to take the print results, was shocked when she saw one of the staff standing on the printer machine who was also waiting for the printout.
“Oh No..,” Desis Eylaria panicked as the staff scooped up all the printed papers.
Eylaria immediately approached the staff who had already turned towards her seat.
“Sorry, it looks like there is my print an there..,” Show Eylaria approached the staff.
“Ohh please...,” Said the staff was inviting Eylaria to check the documents she brought.
“Thank you...,” Said Eylaria slowly rummaging through the sheets of the document, but had not yet found the sheet she was looking for.
“You want to resign Ey?” Shouted Marlo, one of Nicolas' subordinates and was holding a piece of paper in his hand. Eylaria glared in shock, as Marlo shouted from afar and was certainly heard by all the employees who were paying attention.
“What?”
“Why you want to resign?”
“What Mr. Arlo is not good?”
“Are you not at home here?”
All of those questions were suddenly thrown out by a curious employee and immediately responded.
Eylaria immediately approached Marlo and grabbed a piece of her resignation paper, then hurriedly returned to her room.
“Ahhh..., how is this? I want to resign calmly but it becomes like this.” Excited Eylaria panicked back and forth in her room.
Marlo who was excited to read the resignation letter immediately ran into Nicolas's room, the soft-mouthed man immediately told Nicolas about the resignation letter Eylaria he read. Nicolas only sighed to hear it, and he immediately went to Eylaria's room.
“Arghhh..., you surprised me just Nico..,” Excited Eylaria who was still pacing back and forth and shocked when Nicolas opened the door without knocking first.
“Nicole said you wanted to resign, but I didn't think it was that fast..” Nicolas said without saying stale.
“Jeez, Marlo must have told you.. I want to resign calmly, even all the staff know...” Replied Eylaria ruffled her hair.
“Arlo already know?”
“Of course be..,”
“Know what?” Asked a cold voice that suddenly appeared entering Eylaria's work room.
Nicolas and Eylaria stared tensely at Arlo's face which looked angry and upset. Nicolas let out a sigh of resignation, Eylaria could only stare, looking nervously as Arlo entered her room, her aura was extremely cold and gripping, it seemed like the news of her resignation was already known to Arlo.
“Sorry profusely...,” Eylaria said earnestly, bending her body 90 degrees.
Arlo and Nicolas are shocked and unexpected by Eylaria's actions.
“You think this will solve the problem? Stand up straight..” replied Arlo to hold his voice so as not to rise.

“Arlo, we can talk about it carefully.” Nicolas rebuked again, unable to bear to see Eylaria who had shed tears.
Nicolas belatedly intercepted Eylaria, not expecting Eylaria to submit a letter of resignation. And Arlo's current anger, because Arlo highly upholds professionalism in work and the man strongly dislikes if there are employees who violate the work contract at will.
“You're out...,” Arlo's orders on Nicolas.
“Arlo..,”
“I said get out! It's an order from your boss..” Arlo said annoyedly. Nicolas could not bear to leave Eylaria who just looked down and cried, before Arlo himself would push her out.
“Say, why did you decide to resign?” Arlo asked still in a cold tone and his angry gaze, showing disappointment.
Eylaria closed her eyes for a moment, for a long time she was also irritated and kept being cornered, She clenched her hands tightly.
“Because you don't like me.
“What?” Ask Arlo in shock.
“Because you only insulted and tortured me.” Eylaria answered looking back at Arlo bravely, after all he will resign, if fired yes.
“You mean by insulting and torturing?” Ask the confused Arlo.
“For so long you've only treated me like a robot, done this it's it's, and again you've treated me so coldly. If you don't like my performance, why not fire me? You don't have to hire me if you only use your pity because I'm Nicole's best friend.” Cerocos Eylaria vents her frustration.
“I acted that way too because you started it.” Answer Arlo.
“I? Me why? What am I wrong?” Eylaria did not understand.
“You who rejected me, drove me home from your place that night. What do you think I should do if you were me?” Tanya Arlo looked frustrated.
Eylaria flinched, that night in her apartment, the day they kissed and Eylaria kicked her out. Surely Arlo's self-esteem feels humiliated…
“I'm sorry, if I've offended and hurt you. Now, you've already replied to him, we're already breakeven aren't we?” Eylaria trembled slightly as she said it, it felt like she wanted to go home immediately and curl up inside the blanket of her bed. So right, all this time Arlo just avenged her…
“What's breakeven? What exactly are you thinking? Don't you understand Ey at all?” Tanya Arlo lowered his tone.
“What?” Eylaria asked looking into Arlo's eyes, looking for an answer in her confusion.
Arlo just silently stared at Eylaria's teary face, her nose flushed red. Again, the woman was crying for it.
“Don't bite your lips..,” Said Arlo saw Eylaria was alternately biting her upper and lower lips, he did it to relieve her crying feeling increasingly so.
“Eng?” Eluh Eylaria gawked in confusion at Arlo, releasing her bite and leaving a red bite mark on her lips.
