After a few hours, they finally arrived at the city of Wensol. It was the afternoon when they arrived.
Noran and his army immediately entered the city. About 1,000 archers had been stationed at the gate with the 1,000-strong royal infantry force.
Noran then walked towards the direction of the mansion. He allowed his troops to rest, they were already too tired by now.
The situation of the mansion did not change much, there were only a few royal soldiers who were seen patrolling alongside Duke Aaron's troops.
Noran then entered the mansion. Duke Aaron and general Kuva are seen still talking together.
"You back?" ask Duke Aaron.
Duke Aaron looked at the girl beside Noran. He raised his eyebrows and looked at the girl.
"Oh!" duke Aaron said.
Noran turned his head towards Lisa and told her to rest first. Noran then walked closer towards the two.
"Is there anything you're talking about?" ask Duke Aaron.
Noran's face was now solemn, different from the first time he had entered the mansion. General Kuva also noticed it and became serious as well.
"I will withdraw my troops from this war" Noran said.
Both of them were shocked, Noran suddenly said that. What makes it like this?
"What did you say?" ask General Kuva.
"I will withdraw my troops and will not engage in your warfare again" Noran said.
"Do you think well of this? There are millions of lives at stake here" said General Kuva.
Noran understood that, but he would still withdraw his troops. He wanted to see what he could do alone.
"I'll keep doing it" Noran said.
Noran took out his knight badge, and placed it on the table. He pushed him towards General Kuva.
"And with this, I have no business whatsoever with your kingdom" Noran said.
"What do you mean?" General Kuva was angry at his attitude.
As a knight, they were not allowed to simply retreat. And in times of war like now, they were instrumental in defending the Rosvelt kingdom.
"You're asking me to fight for this kingdom? What is so good about this kingdom? Ask General Reylight what happened" Noran said.
Noran got up and left with eyes full of anger. He climbed to the second floor and entered the room he occupied.
A girl stood by the door, making Noran unable to see her. As Noran lay down, he came and sat down beside him.
"Why are you doing this?" ask Lisa.
"Of course for you, I won't let anyone make you sad" Noran said.
"But you don't have to do that, there are still a lot of innocent people that you have to protect" Lisa said.
"Is it not the duty of a hero to protect his people?
Rest, tomorrow we'll go to the crystal city." said Noran.
Lia nodded and went towards her room. Noran then broke down and looked at the ceiling.
"I'll make you bend your knees before me." murmured Noran.

"Are you sure about this?" ask Duke Aaron.
"Yes, I'm sure. Before that, there was something I wanted to give you" Noran said.
Noran pulled out the 500 best sets of armor he made. Although it looks like normal armor, this is the best armor of the entire Rosvelt kingdom army.
"Use this on your troops, I'm sure the city can survive" Noran said.
Duke Aaron smiled, he was sure that Noran had thought things through carefully. While General Kuva only scrunched his forehead.
How would normal equipment like this be useful to them?
Of course more troops would be better, everyone knows that.
"Sin, let's go." said Noran.
Sin nodded, driving his horse towards Noran. They then left the city of Wensol, heading to the city of Barliester which has a full 4 days distance.
Day after day they passed, along the way Noran turned about 3,000 armor into a nicer shape.
With this set of armor, the look of his army would become even more dashing and terrifying.
4 days had now passed, Noran finally arrived at the crystal city. From the last time he remembered, this city only had 2300 inhabitants. Now the city looks so crowded and vibrant.
"Are there any other immigrants?" thought Noran.
Noran and his army then entered the city. Their arrival attracted the attention of the residents.
Most would stop with their busy lives and see the convoy of Noran's troops.
Quite a number of small children were looking at them excitedly. Seeing a number of troops that look so mighty, certainly makes them excited.
"Look! Mr. Baron has returned." said a little boy.
The soldiers on the city walls as well as those on patrol were seen paying their respects.
Noran walked towards his mansion, seeing Mike welcoming him in front of the mansion.
"Sir, are you back?" ask Mike.
"Yes, I'm back. It looks like the city is becoming more crowded than ever" Noran said.
"Of course, sir, there are 5,000 people coming and wanting to be residents of this city" Mike said.
5,000 people? Isn't the number so great? Where did they come from?
"What about the construction of the city of Corton?" ask Noran.
"Building is going well, Toun is watching them. Now the city has awakened more than half" said Mike.
"Then the city of Turin?" ask Noran.
"Turin City is recovering sir. Many residents moved there, there were about 3,000 new residents there, and Ruli took care of the city with Baroness Rianna" said Mike.
Noran nodded, himself then walked into the mansion. There are only servants here with the butler Grim.
Noran decided to take a break after an exhausting journey.
