Finally the long journey ends when Atlas arrives at a magnificent mansion. However, before Atlas and Kaysen entered the courtyard of the mansion, Felix immediately stopped their steps. The young man was carrying a bag of coins called Plutos.
“In here there is enough Plutos as your salary for escorting me,” said Felix, throwing a bag of Plutos at Atlas. “Tell Zelos Nicon that you have done a good job.”
“You are indeed an arrogant person,” told Atlas, receiving a bag of Plutos that might be enough for him to use for the next few months.
The gate of the mansion was immediately opened, then Felix re-entered the carriage, entering the courtyard of the mansion. He said nothing more to Atlas and Kaysen, leaving like nothing had happened.
Even so, Atlas and Kaysen did not seem to care much. The two men immediately went elsewhere, ignoring Felix's treatment.
“We have arrived at the Vonturnus Central Musai, but what can we do here?” kaysen asked as he glanced at Atlas.
Still going slowly, Atlas replied, “One thing for sure is I want to go to an inn, then sleep.” He was silent for a moment while stretching his muscles. “Looks like my body is more tired than I imagined.”
“I think I will also sleep as much as today,” replied Kaysen.
“Tonight I hope you can sleep well in front of the door.”
“Hah?”
“As I said earlier.”
...***...
Evening came, the moon shone brightly, as it erased the darkness. Inside a large room, Atlas was sitting on a chair next to a window. Right in front of the young man was a table on which was a cup of tea.
“Ah, I think tonight will be my best rest since reincarnating,” muttered the young man, sipped tea, then looked at the stars in the sky. He then turned his gaze toward the houses around. “But I still salute the lighting in this world. Instead of using lanterns, here they use Theia’s Stone that can drift.”
The wind blew slowly, entering the Atlas room through an open window. The young man's long hair was slightly unraveled. However, the soothing atmosphere immediately changed when his ears heard the sound of footsteps on the streets.
Atlas looked straight into the street. He was a little surprised to see Felix riding a horse while carrying several Nomos walking behind him. Of course Atlas did not know where the party was going, but he also did not want to know and instead went back to sipping tea while not yet cold.
Not long after, Kaysen walked into the room without knocking on the door, making Atlas reflexively turn his gaze toward the entrance. “At least you can knock on the door before entering, right? I think you still have a hand to do that.”
“Good, good, sorry.” Kaysen looked indifferent. “Omong-by the way, it looks like yesterday just happened a kidnapping. And just this afternoon Moirai from Aither Vonturnus received a letter related to the terms of redemption of the victim.”
“Oh?” Atlas became a little interested. “Then who was kidnapped?”
“You will definitely be surprised.” Kaysen approached Atlas, then glanced out the window. “Second child or first daughter of Moirai from Aither Vonturnus—Agatha Vonturnus.”
“Really?!” This time Atlas became very interested.
Without saying much, Atlas left his tea, walking to the exit. “Then I'll come too. Tonight our break is postponed, Kaysen!”
“I know you will definitely be interested in this.” Kaysen walked behind Atlas.
“I just don't want this incident to give birth to more heretical sects like that Boreas God Sect!”
Atlas and Kaysen decided to join Felix's entourage. Surely the two of them did not immediately come and join just like that, but secretly trailed from behind.
A few moments walking, they finally arrived at an old building that was right in the middle of an empty wheat field, but was ready to be planted. This certainly made Atlas and Kaysen unable to hide properly anymore, so that one of the Nomos could find them.
“Who are you?!” One of the Nomos immediately shot forward, about to catch Kaysen.
Of course Kaysen could dodge so easily. However, it actually makes Felix's attention directed at them.
“What are you doing here, Atlas, Kaysen?!” felix said, slightly raising his tone. “I don't remember bringing you here with us.”
Atlas immediately replied, “I'm just a little curious why you guys are in a place like this.”
“There must be a much more complex reason than that, right!” Felix instantly drew the sword towards Atlas, making Nomos around him standby.
“To be honest I know what you guys are looking for.” Atlas acknowledged. “I was just wondering if the culprit was still a member of the Boreas God Sect or not.”
Before their conversation continued, a black-robed figure suddenly appeared above the old building that looked more like the place of worship. All of Nomos—, including Felix, Atlas, and Kaysen, turned their attention to the cloaked figure covering his face with a black cloth over there.
“Did you bring 1 Billion Poltus as in the letter?” asked the black-robed figure calmly. He did not seem to tremble even a little.
“Bring the item here!” felix exclaims to the Nomos.
In the middle of the Nomos, two Nomos with a burly body came out while carrying a wooden crate measuring one meter. The crate was then placed in front of Felix, as Felix got off the horse.
“I'll check it first.” The black-robed figure immediately descended, but Felix unhesitatingly swung his sword forward, about to slash the neck of the figure.
The sword was heard. A man with short hair suddenly appeared in front of the black-robed figure, holding back Felix's sword slash with the sword in his right hand. The man who covered his face with the black cloth also repelled Felix's sword attack, making Felix slightly pushed back. However, it actually makes ten Nomos brought Felix, immediately counterattacked.
The Nomos besieged their two opponents, not giving the slightest loophole to escape. In that situation, Felix looked calm, but his level of vigilance was very high.
“Restore my sister, or you will die here!” threaten Felix with a flat tone.
“We'll see who will die!” sahut the cloaked figure as he unfolded his robe, revealing the figure of a man with long hair and a burly body full of muscles. “You will be another hostage, Felix Vonturnus!”
