12. The Fire Hall

The day the farewell party came. All Magicology students were very busy with their respective preparations. Even the organizers of the event had not had time to sleep since a day ago. Gavi, Alvyn, and Kilik also prepared the event despite Leo's ban.

That afternoon seemed quite unfriendly. Black clouds covered the available sky coffers. There is no sun shining to just give encouragement to adult teenagers who are less than three days away from summer vacation.

“What will you do after returning to your territory, Gav?” leo asked who was helping Gavi lift the bat statue.

“Entah, you? This summer?” Gavi asked back because he was lazy to explain.

“I'll meet Lea and ask her what problem is really happening to her.” Leo tilted his head slightly. “I didn't have time to talk to him on the day where he moved, it was very sudden.”

“Even Allecia didn't know it?” Gavi is still curious about Lea's disappearance.

Leo shakes. “Don't know, since Lea went Allecia's attitude became a little different. Like there's one thing he's hiding.”

“You know? Allecia is the type of person who is good at hiding feelings.” Alvyn approached and joined the large statue with his two friends. “He wears a very thick mask behind his cheerful nature. View.”

Gavi, Alvyn, and Leo looked towards Allecia who was busy chatting while painting the character board with Kilik. Allecia laughed once in a while and then her face became grim. The three men carrying the statue thought the same thing. Did Allecia have anything to do with the sudden departure of Lea. Allecia as someone who is considered the closest friend to Lea, too soon not sad over the loss of Lea.

Millions of water droplets began to fall suddenly from behind the clouds that had been holding it for as long as possible. Preparation for the farewell is a little more done. Gavi, Alvyn, Kilik, and Leo return to the dormitory to prepare themselves.

Gavi chose to wear a sharp red suit with a blend of black shirts and shiny shoes. His short hair was neatly combed and drizzled, the ends tied with black rubber. Even his Vampire friends just saw the look of Gavi like this.

“Gav, you're neat once.” Alvyn stared at Gavi from head to toe.

“Even I just saw you look like this,” said Kilik connect the sentence Alvyn.

“Haha, this is my father's suit. Do I look weird?” Gavi is not really confident in his clothes. “The first time I used it.”

“It was very good. Unfortunately I don't have,” Alvyn said as he lifted his suit. “This ... I wear after gift from you, Gav.”

The suit is dark purple. Alvyn always uses it when something is important. He really likes the suit, he thinks it's the best suit he's got. Gavi smiled broadly at the gratitude implied from Alvyn's face.

While Kilik, he uses a black suit. It doesn't matter, but it's a bit like Professor Vincent's lace suit. The difference belongs to Kilik is still pleasing to the eye.

The three stepped simultaneously under a drizzle that hit the umbrella leading to the Magicology study program hall. Leo was already waiting for them at the entrance. Leo's clothes are as red as Gavi's. With his trademark smile, Leo let the three of them in.

Inside the hall, there were already many who had come. The moment the event will begin.

“Hai, Cia,” Hello Kilik. “Wah, your dress is beautiful once.” The man joins Allecia and some other friends, while Gavi and Alvyn keep walking towards the bat statue that they lifted last afternoon.

Arriving in front of the statue the two stared intently at the statue that was emitting smoke from its mouth. The bat statue became a symbol of their separation with the Vampire race as well as heating the room.

The event was opened by someone named Andra who became the master of ceremony of the event. The thick-bodied man brought the show very funny. It was as if the words that came out of his mouth were not going to run out.

The party will start with a student president's welcome, then entertainment, and lastly there's a flashback session that will usually hit the blue. The flashback session contained clips from secret documents that had been made by the committee since the beginning of the semester. They will watch all the documentation while accompanied by a safe drink. Leo insisted that alcohol should not go into the event.

After a speech from Leo that ended with Gavi suddenly called to say a broken two words. Gavi who was called by his name was reluctant to come forward because he did not know what he was going to say. However, all eyes were on him when the spotlight of the shooting lights also glared at him.

Gavi walked while thinking and cursing.

“Leo, dammit!”

After getting in front and standing next to Leo. The microphone may be given to him. Gavi grasped it tightly trying not to get nervous.

“B-good. Hi everyone, I ... Gavi.” It is clear that Gavi has stage fright. He saw Alvyn trying to calm him down from a distance by nodding slowly. “As you all know ...” Gavi stopped in that sentence and saw someone new coming.

Lea in a red dress came in and had direct eye contact with Gavi. A smile was implied on her extremely beautiful face. Gavi returned his smile and all the nervousness he felt finally disappeared.

“As you all know, we have passed this semester quite well. Our student exchange students from Juvenile Academy are proud and delighted to be part of this campus Magicology study program. Together with you, we were very well received. We say thank you. Now ... time we say goodbye to return to the territory of our race, the Vampire race, thank you for everything. Hopefully we can meet again at another time.”

Right after Gavi made the speech, he found Lea running out of the hall crying. Gavi realizes that and chases after him. “Lea! Wait!”

Everyone turned to Gavi who ran out of the hall. Alvyn, Kilik, Leo, and Allecia chased behind him. Outside the rain is heavy.

Gavi grabbed the hand of the woman in the red dress. “Lea? What's up?”

One slap that made Gavi's heart so sore landed on his cheek. The friends who were chasing Gavi saw the incident immediately fell silent, Gavi did so. Lea slapped Gavi very hard. He gave a piece of paper he had squeezed to Gavi, then ran away crying.

Gavi fell silent and opened the paper. However, he had not seen it yet the sound of a loud explosion coming from the hall was heard. The fire was burning very quickly. The Magicology Hall had a fire. Gavi, Alvyn, Kilik, Leo, and Allecia were shocked and immediately ran back to save the other friends.

“How can it happen?” shout Gavi.

“Quick, save everything!” Leo's orders.

“All! In this direction!” alvyn shouted as he grabbed the hands full of burns.

Under the rain, the fire grew bigger. Students try to save each other. Because of this commotion all campus residents also woke up and evacuated the people inside.

This was so fast that there were so many casualties. Medical personnel from the outside hospital have been called and the fire department has been called. Amidst the commotion, Gavi, Alvyn, Kilik, Leo, and Allecia are ordered to face the head of the campus in the rector's room. Only those who did not get the slightest injury and became witnesses.

“This is Gavi.”
