Can I See the Headmaster?
“Tok.. Tok” Desta knocked on the door of the room that was being opened wide.
Everyone in the room looked at the door out of curiosity, but then they went back to work.
“What's up?” one of the teachers rebuked Desta because indeed this was the first time Desta was seen here.
He looked at Desta from toe to toe, then he let out a cold snort because he thought that Desta was just a student parent who wanted to ask for tuition waivers.
It was common, though, because not a few students who come from families that are all mediocre forced to attend school here the high cost of education at this school just for the sake of prestige that even in the end they themselves are confused to paying for his son's school tuition.
“Ah my name is Desta, I applied for a job as a sports teacher at this school through Jobstreak” Desta answered the teacher's question.
“Oh turns out you're the new teacher?” another male teacher answered Desta's words and also saw Desta's ordinary appearance.
“Do you know who sent you here? Because in this room there is no one to take care of applicants from Jobstreak, but if you go to the administration, maybe you will find the person you are looking for” continued the teacher.
“Sorry, I didn't have time to ask what his name was, but I was able to show you the number that contacted me earlier” Desta pulled the phone out of his pants pocket and immediately looked up the call history on his phone list.
“This is it.!” Desta gave his cell phone to the teacher.
“I-this, are you serious?” ask the teacher in a curious tone.
Dazed Desta asked again, “Iya this is the number that contacted me earlier, what is it?”.
“Wah, who is he? Why did the principal directly tell him to come?”
“I think he's family of the principal”
“Well, it makes sense, if indeed he is a family of him, it is a reasonable thing”
Everyone was whispering behind Desta.
“Is the principal here a woman?” ask Desta.
“Do not carelessly speak..! He is a real man who is a role model for everyone here..! I am very proud to work in the same school as he” replied the teacher.
“Hmm, it seems like this principal is a very great person, to the point that everyone was so shocked when they heard that the one who contacted me earlier was the principal's number.!” muttered Desta while nodding his head.
“But, the one who called me earlier sounded like a young woman, and she told me to work from today also” said Desta.
“Oh it may be the son of him..! He really likes a fad with his father's phone, maybe you were contacted by him also because of his pity” and everyone laughed out loud because finally their thoughts were denied.
“Hmm, then can I meet the principal just to be sure? If it's true this is the result of a fad alone, I want him to apologize to me.!” Desta took back his phone and sat down on an empty chair that was available near the drinking water dispenser.
