The Story of the Wind Wanderer

The Story of the Wind Wanderer
The Letter #141

It was a really soothing night with a gust of wind that can feel very gentle. Altezza seemed to enjoy and soak up the calm atmosphere in the crowd of Neverley Capital that never seems to be quiet. The day was getting late, and the star-studded night horizon was getting very clear, very beautiful.

The black-haired man leaned against the open window of his inn room, and looked at the crowd of the capital from the third floor. The inn chosen by him and his friends was quite in the middle of the city center. The food shops opposite the inn are open 24 hours, they never close and stop welcoming visitors at any time, let alone places like pubs and nightclubs. Everything is around the inn.

But the view of Altezza is more interested in looking up, looking towards the night sky studded with various constellations. The little lights looked beautiful in the darkness of the night that engulfed the world.

"You're not sleepy yet, are you?" eugene asked, speaking behind Altezza while tidying up some of his luggage that was in his bag on the bed that was only one person. Right next to the bed is the bed belonging to Altezza, which still looks neat and clean with pillows and blankets that are still untouched.

"Why? You want to go to the nightlife?" sahut Altezza, without looking at it one bit, looked down at some of the nightlife spots that were not far from the inn.

Eugene laughed at what Altezza said, "once going in will be difficult to get out, so I don't dare to go in there," he said.

Altezza smiled cynically and added, "i don't like being there either, because I think pubs and nightclubs are a place of money-losing that can lead to addiction, and it's pointless."

Looking back at the sky, that's what Altezza did. The black-haired man never got tired of looking at the star-studded night sky. It is undeniable, both ears always hear the hustle and bustle of the capital city that never stops moving even in the middle of the night.

In the middle he was contemplating with a hypnotized look by the gorgeous view of the sky tonight. Altezza reached into his pants pocket, and took out a piece of paper or a letter carried by a pigeon, before finally returning to read the letter.

In the letter was written a short sentence containing several important points, and the sentence read, "darkness has come, the Mystick Kingdom started a war from the Southern Continent, the Southern Border of Zephyra has fallen, and the, and the declaration of war has been echoed."

Some of these sentences and points managed to attract the attention of Altezza, and make him immediately understand the situation. Then at the end of the letter was a sentence that read, "when did you go back to Zephyra, Altezza? Take good care of yourself, and come back safely, may God and nature be with you wherever you are" and there are two names on the cover of the letter Alaqua and Zemira.

"Every night you meet, you always think. Is there anything that's bothering you, Altezza?" cetus Eugene, who had suddenly been standing right next to the Altezza, leaned against the wall right next to the window.

"Is that the letter you received from a pigeon? Alaia told me and Aaron about you receiving a letter from a pigeon." Eugene then spoke, turned his head and looked towards the piece of paper that was currently in Altezza's hands, "if you may know, what's in it?" continues asking.

Altezza seemed to sigh heavily for a moment, his gaze inclined downwards, staring at the letter he was currently carrying and saying, "there is a problem in my hometown, and I am currently confused."

"What makes you confused?" eugene asked, still in the same position, leaned against the wall right next to the window, and folded his arms over his chest.

The black-haired man seemed indecisive, anxious to determine the decision that would affect his journey. The letter that was currently in his hands completely changed his mood.

"I want to continue on this journey, but on the other hand I also have to immediately return to my homeland" Altezza said, slowly folding back a piece of the letter he carried.

The atmosphere was silent for a moment, only the hustle and bustle of the capital city in the middle of this beautiful night. Eugene then spoke up saying, "our goal is to the desert region and it's no more than 60 kilometers to the Northeast of the Capital of Neverley, just need to get through some mountains."

"Whatever your decision is, we'll appreciate it, Altezza. If indeed you can't continue the journey and we have to part here, it won't be a problem. But if you still want to continue the journey with us, of course we will be very happy," continued Eugene, speaking with his head and then a small smile to Altezza.

Altezza was silent, apparently struggling in his mind, deciding what decision he should take. The letter he received from a pigeon was an official letter containing very serious information, and it was a consideration for what decision to take.
