Chapter 1856 - 1860

"Anybody objected?" ask Avery.

Everyone turned to look at each other and reached a consensus. “We agree with your proposal. That's the only way we can save Wildefield.”

"That's right! We shouldn't take such risks for Levi.”

“In addition, even if we hand over the child, The Cardinal Hall will not hurt him.”

So it was decided that Wildefield would give up Forlevia and her family.

After the decision was made, Avery rushed out to inform The Cardinal Hall. And within hours, soldiers from The Cardinal Hall arrived at Wilderfield.

They immediately escorted Forlevia, Emma, and Mia out of Wildefield and headed straight for The Cardinal Hall, leaving no chance for Levi to intercept them.

It was an event that Levi had not thought of.

"I'm sorry, sir, but is Levi going after us for this matter?"

Avery and his team worry that Levi will search for them and kill them after he learns of their decision to expel Forlevia.

"Don't worry. Levi will not be able to live more than today. We have identified his hiding place and an elite team from The Cardinal Hall is chasing him. However, if you are worried, we can provide a hiding place for you.”

With that agreement, Avery led his followers into hiding while the soldiers from The Cardinal Hall led Forlevia away from the Wildefield.

“I think the boy was kidnapped by some stranger. Little did I know that Levi had done that act to deceive us! ” Zelda muses.

“Now we see the original color of the heir to the Fiery Demon! Not only did he train in dark skills to achieve great prowess, but he was also good at cunning devious acts. What terror!” Kaiden.

“Well, now that we have a mother and son in our hands, let's see how arrogant Levi is!” Zelda.

“Our people are already chasing him. It would be perfect if they could kill him. If they fail, we can use her mother and daughter as bargaining tools to force her to give up. But we're not the bad guys to kidnap them for blackmailing him. Our goal is to protect his family from danger,”he added in self-justification, and his fellow comrades cunningly smiled, pleased with the plan.

Meanwhile, Levi brought Okano to a deserted place. Just as he was about to interrogate Okano, he got word from his men.

"What's? Avery handed Forlevia to The Cardinal Hall?” shocks surprised.

He had placed a few people around Wildefield to guard Forlevia. However, The Cardinal Hall sent a formidable army and they attempted to start their mission secretly, so by the time his men detected their movements, it was too late.

“You're in big trouble, Avery!” Levi roared, surprising Okano.

Levi did not expect that the weak link was Wildefield, but it was also due to the issuance of The Cardinal Order, or the unexpected brevity of the TCO. Avery wouldn't have made the drastic decision to let go of Forlevia if it wasn't for the TCO.

Levi did not feel confident about entrusting his family to The Cardinal Hall, so he had to get them out of that place. However, he had no intention of implicating The Cardinal Hall in a head-on clash since that was what their enemies wanted to see.

If he could figure out and uncover Raysonia's plot before meeting The Cardinal Hall, it might help prevent a bloodbath to be expected.

“Tell me who the mastermind is! If not, you will regret it! ” Levi turned towards Okano and howled.

Seeing his despair, Okano laughed out loud.

“That information doesn't matter anymore. We have activated our second stage action! Besides, now you yourself are in big trouble, so do you think you have the ability to protect others? he yelled.

"What's? Second stage action? ” Levi frowned at the revelation because it meant serious trouble ahead.

"That's right! Due to the publication of the TCO, we are proposing our second stage of action. Hehehe... Levi, how will you decide? Do you want to protect your family or your country? What choice?" Okano happily asked.

“What is the second stage action? Tell me!" Levi yelled at Okano desperately.

"What distraction!" Levi shook his head resignedly, surprised they managed to get to him so quickly.

"I think I should finish you guys first." And he started fighting with the soldiers, with Okano behind him.

Although his opponents came in large numbers, they were too weak, and Levi could defeat them easily. However, he still needed a bit of time due to their large number.

Unfortunately for Okano, Levi was too tough, and the fight was almost effortless for Levi, so he did not get a chance to escape.

As the fight continued, Levi realized there were many people joining the fight. News of his whereabouts had spread, and he was sure more warriors would come to deal with him. He decided he had to get out of there. Otherwise, he would have to waste time dealing with these weak warriors.

"I have to get rid of these people!" he muttered to himself.

He broke through the chaotic scene and fled to the north, his opponents in pursuit. Shortly after, he reached the border of Oakland City.

“Whatever happens, I will enter the city first!” Thinking it would be easier to find a hiding place there, Levi headed straight to Oakland City.

"What's? Hahaha, Levi went to Oakland City? That's our territory! Is he crazy?” His pursuers laughed triumphantly when they realized he had gone to Oakland City, and sent the good news to The Cardinal Hall.

Instantly, everyone knew that Levi was in Oakland City, and all the soldiers who received the TCO rushed into the city.

During that period, Zoey repeatedly suffered from debilitating migraines, and the frequency and intensity of migraine attacks worsened by the day.

Even when she was on the postdrome stage, she was dull and apathetic and shut herself in bed. That caused Wynona to be extremely depressed.

Wynona's out of her mind. He has deployed all the resources and used all his connections to get the best medical care for Zoey, but none has shown promising results.

He decided to make a public announcement to invite top international specialists to come forward with their treatment plan.His offer was tempting, and he spared no expense in this open invitation.

Meanwhile, Jared's search doesn't go well for Bruce. His men had tried to track Jared down, but they were unsuccessful.

Initially, they managed to detect his presence occasionally, but as time went on, information grew scarce and although they attempted to monitor all corners of Erudia, there was no news at all. It was as if Jared had disappeared into thin air.

“We have successfully completed all our tasks, besides the search for Jared, Mr. Johnston,” Bruce's men report proudly, relieved they have successfully completed almost all assigned missions.

They did not give up on finding Jared, when they added, “We heard the Wilcox family from Oakland City has given an open invitation to the international medical community. There's a chance Wynona's still alive! And he's in the same lab as Jared!”

Bruce's expression changed after hearing the news from his men.

“So Jared wasn't the only survivor of the incident! If we can get Wynona, we might be able to find Jared or at least news of his whereabouts.”.

"That's right!"

“Then, we will head to Oakland City.” With that hint, Bruce, along with his men, immediately set off for Oakland City.

Meanwhile, at Raysonia's camp, they start to worry for Okano.

“Okano has not returned, and he has not sent any news. I think he's got a problem! ”

“We just received a report. Okano was captured by Levi! As the soldiers from The Cardinal Hall chased Levi, they saw Okano with him!”

The faces of the high-ranking officials fell when they heard the news.

"What's? Okano arrested? If he reveals our plans to Levi, all our efforts will be in vain!”

"That's right! Levi has been monitoring us, and he's been getting a lot of leads on us. If Okano leaks, all our plans will be revealed!”

“Send someone to Oakland City! Okano must be eliminated!”

"But how are we gonna get him if he's in Levi's hands?"

Back in Oakland City, at the family's Wilcox private hospital, Zoey stares out a blank window, having just survived another horrific migraine attack.

Wynona has a strange feeling that she is different from before. He looked cold and somewhat cruel.

All the specialists at the hospital had taken turns examining him using the advanced equipment they had, but they were unable to find what was wrong with him.

Wynona could only put her hopes on the arrival of international specialists.

"MST. Wilcox, the medical team from Zarain is here. They want to check on Miss Lopez!” A hospital staff member brought good news for her.

"Thankfully! Yes, please let them in! ” Wynona cheered after hearing the news and immediately came out to greet them.

Bruce leads Zarain's team, but he doesn't lie about it being a medical team. Among them are top specialists from Zarain.

Wynona was overjoyed and unsuspecting, so she let them in the hospital.

"This information is very important, so please tell us the truth!" The rest of them press Wynona.

The main subject of interest to Bruce is Jared. He hopes Wynona has useful information about his whereabouts.

Wynona paused for a moment in doubt, then decided to share more with Zarain's team.

"What?" It was unexpected news from his team that conducted the survey outside the hospital yard.

Suddenly, a piercing scream could be heard, and it came from one of the wards.

"Oh no, another attack!" Wynona immediately ran towards the ward, and Zarain's team followed her.

Inside the room, they could see Zoey rolling around in pain on the ground, and her screams were haunting and unsettling.

“Arhhh...!” Another painful scream and they could see Zoey in great pain, as her hand had been stuck on the ground and left a deep scratch mark on the hard floor.

Wynona was greatly shocked because the attack was much more severe than all the previous attacks she had witnessed so far.

"Sir. Johnston, I can show you the location of Mr. Schmidt. He's very close to you. In fact, he is in front of you!” The people who surveyed reported to Bruce through the earpiece again.

The explosion!

It was a eureka moment for Bruce!

He looked at Zoey in disbelief and seemed to have compiled the riddle.

Back then, Bruce knew exactly what was causing Zoey's suffering, and he also knew what had happened to Jared.
