The Retaliation of the Dragon: Rise Of The Unbroken

The Retaliation of the Dragon: Rise Of The Unbroken
Portal to the Other World

Faelan got up slowly. His whole body felt crumpled. Rakko helped him sit down.

“Elysia, are you all right?” ask Faelan.

“Yes, I'm fine” Elysia wiped her tears. Although it looks weak, but it does not reduce its beauty. “Rakko helped me a lot yesterday. After two days, my magic energy slowly returned. I can use healing magic”

“What?!” Faelan looked surprised.

“Yes, besides healing my wounds, I also did the same to you and Rakko”

“I mean, how long have I fainted?”

“You fainted since a day ago”

“Then what do you mean by your magic energy has returned after two days?”

Elysia looked at Rakko.

Rakko nodded, agreeing.

“Fae” Elysia looks worried, “genesis you beat the Minotaur was already two days ago”

“Tu.. wait! How can?” Faelan now looked confused.

“Tuan” said Rakko, “after you beat the Minotaur, you don't look like the master I know. You look like a different person. You laughed all day and beat me up and called me a disgusting lowly creature. You also insult the pointed ear by calling it a weak proud race” Rakko now holds his head as if remembering the unpleasant events that happened to him, “You also muttered about retribution to someone for deceiving you, too, trap and lock you up for hundreds of thousands of years”

“Initially we thought that you were just being too happy to finally beat Minotaur” Elysia interjected, “You also called us loyal followers, too, and promised to give a gift for having been willing to serve and take care of you during this”

“A.. What?” Faelan is still in disbelief, “I don't remember anything. I thought the Minotaur incident was just a few hours ago”

Elysia and Rakko looked at each other. They were as confused as Faelan.

“Already, Fae. What is clear now is everything is fine” Elysia tried to smile. But in fact he was worried.

Elysia noticed Faelan's eyes that had now returned to look brown and like the eyes of a plain boy she knew.

It was really the Faelan I knew. But what the fuck was that yesterday? That strange Faelan behavior must have been related to the failure of my Essence of Self-Preservation magic, Inner Elysia.

“I'm sorry, Elysia, Rakko” Faelan said with a sorry look.

“It's okay, mr” Rakko said with a grin, trying to smile.

“Iya, Fae. Who dares to blame the person who has saved our lives” Elysia smiled sweetly. “I should be apologizing, if I had known from the beginning that the Minotaur had that much black magic energy, I would not have allowed you to fight with it”

Moreover, charging the protective veil of Valornia village has pretty much drained my energy over the years. Inner Elysia.

“It's okay. Really!”, Faelan replied with a wry smile, “Oh yes Elysia, what sword did you give me that?” Faelan pointed at the white sword on Elysia's waist.

“This is the holy sword my grandmother gave me” Elysia seemed to wonder.

“What sword gives off burning sensation when held?”

“Of course not. Unless the one holding it is someone with demonic magic. Why why?”

Then why did the holy sword seem to refuse me to hold that time? inner Faelan while looking at his hand which now no longer looks burnt. “Nothing. I'm just curious”. Faelan smiled as she clasped her left hand firmly. “Oh yes, Elysia. You haven't said why we need to go to this cave?”

“Can you walk?”

“Tent..” Faelan tried to stand up, but his full strength was still weak, “Ugh!” erang while sitting down again.

Elysia stared at Rakko, “Let's do it that way”

Rakko nodded. “Wait a minute, Tuan” said then ran towards the darkness of the cave.

A moment later, Rakko returned. “This drive, sir. The pointed ear let me carry it”

Rakko came with a buffalo boy who looked very frightened.

“Where did you get that buffalo boy, Rakko?” ask Faelan.

“This is the Minotaur you defeated, sir. After you defeated him, he seemed to have lost his magic and turned into this. He ran away in a storm when you were like possessed yesterday, because you always wanted to eat him”

Faelan looked at the buffalo boy with a strange look, “Yah.It was indeed not a bad idea. At least I need protein from fresh meat, because all I've eaten with Elysia is vegetables and fruit”

“Kiiieeek” The buffalo boy is now shaking in fear.

“You really are my master. From yesterday I thought the same thing. The right thigh is the most delicious of an animal mimikeri” Rakko drooling.

“Not that most important” Sela Elysia. “We have other work to finish”.

Then Elysia who was carried by Rakko and Faelan who was riding the buffalo boy now walked into the depths of the cave. Deep into the darkness of the cave that felt silent and cold.

Elysia began to open her voice, “This cave is the only access to the portal called Dragon Grotto, a hidden portal devoted to some circles only. Formerly this cave was controlled by loyal followers of the sky dragon, they made it as a place to practice martial arts and magic. But, after the great chaos thousands of years ago, this cave seemed to die, and the dragon portal only became

a myth. No one else came here. But, because there's you, Fae. Then maybe the Grotto can open now. And there you need to form your magic container”

Faelan looked confused, “But, why not just call it a cave, why Grotto?” (Grotto means small cave).

Elysia smiled, “You will see for yourself later”

They reached the end of the cave. There is a large stone wall.

“Lumos!” Elysia Rapal.

Then instantly dots of light sprung up, shining around the stone wall. It is clear that every ancient painting is carved with coloring using iron and copper oxidation. As soon as the painting was exposed to Elysia's illumination magic, it was as if the painting had come alive.

Faelan and the others, they felt a strong magical vibration as if enveloping the air. As they approached the rough stone walls, Faelan's eyes were fixed on a painting that adorned the entire surface of the stone. The painting was so incredible, as if it came from the imagination of a god of art. In front of his eyes lay stunning images, telling a story that had been forgotten in the record of time.

In the center of the wall, a mighty huge dragon was drawn with such sharp details, from the sparkling blue scales on its body to the sharp eyes that looked out from the painting, he said, it was as if the dragon would live at any moment. The dragon was in control, as a great leader. However, what is even more fascinating is the crowd of creatures that are around it.

A wide variety of races, perhaps from different eras, seemed to gather around the dragon. There were humans with ancient clothing, and beings in the form of fairies with glittering wings. Some of them are legendary creatures that are rarely seen in the real world, such as half-human half-goat and bird-headed creatures, and somehow many more. They all seemed to be united in the worship of the dragon, as if the dragon was their patron god.

The painting was filled with natural colors that still exuded glory even though thousands of years had passed. Every detail, every expression, seemed alive. Faelan felt as if she had been swept into a living history, witnessing a long-extinct civilization.

“Fae, put your hand on it!” Elysia pointed towards an indentation that formed a palm pattern that was on the cave wall.

Faelan came down from the buffalo child slowly, then pressed his palm. The Faelan pendant looked glowing.

A dazzling golden blue light shot out from both eyes of the dragon relic within the painting, filling the cave walls with a sheen that felt so warm and soothing. The stone wall in front of Faelan seemed to disappear as the light spread. In front of Faelan there was already a blue view of the sky and sea.

Faelan and his comrades stepped forward in astonishment.

Faelan is now above the towering rock cliffs, below which there is a vast ocean whose ends look like the end of a waterfall, an end point where the water crashing down fell into a white cloud that looked like it was clumping like a collection of clean cotton, then above it was a very bright blue sky.

Elysia approached and patted Faelan on the shoulder, “My grandmother said this sea is not salty, but tasteless. The falling sea water is the rain that waters our world, a blessing from the sky”

Elysia looked at him in amazement. This was the first time he had seen firsthand what his grandmother had always told him. Even her grandmother was never as lucky as she is now.

Faelan facing back. Now the entrance seemed like a small shallow cave, perched on a cliff. “So, this is why it is called Grotto?” muttered.

“Come, we have to find the dragon altar. In this world, time runs unlike in our world” said Elysia while riding Rakko.

Faelan climbed up the buffalo boy and followed Elysia.

“It turns out there are many things that I do not know in this world” murmured Rakko who is still amazed.

“You can say that if you are hundreds of years old like me” said Elysia.

“Hah?! What's?! How old are you, pointed-ear granny?!”

Oh!!

Elysia clings to Rakko's head very hard.

“I'm young, know!!” Elysia looked pouted.

“Aaaaaaargh!!” Pekik Rakko, “Didn't you say that your energy is running out?”

“My energy will not run out if only to kill a Goblin does not know manners like you”

“Hahahahaha” Faelan laughed out loud.

The buffalo boy Faelan was riding also sniffed and breathed a heavy breath, as if he was

come giggling.

“You are a buffalo, if I don't want to eat it alive!!” rakko.

The buffalo boy immediately shuddered in horror.

“Hahaha. Rakko, never offend in front of a woman. I have also been

got his death” said Faelan while holding his stomach.

They then walked on the great land that felt foreign. Heading to the beginning of a journey creates greater opportunities to restore the tranquility of the world.
