Nick has made a promise to return to London. A terrifying aura accompanied his arrival to that house. Jonathan welcomes Nick home with a hug.
“See you're the only one who welcomes me, Brother.”
“Do need we all welcome you?”
“Freya!” Nick's grin appeared to see his sister. “It has not seen you for a long time.
But Freya just stood leaning against the doorway without giving a hug or a kiss to welcome Nick. It seems he's the only person in the house who doesn't want to meet Nick.
“Well, I didn't see Josette when she urged me to go home.”
Regardless of Freya's murderous gaze, Nick passes the woman intending to find Josette. Because he knows there's business they need to get done. But Freya does not allow Nick to pass through. He stood in front of Nick, looking at him sharply.
“Actually what's the problem between you and Josie?”
Nick put on his stupid look. “I just got back home after so many years. Better let's find out together,” said Nick lightly.
“How about I change the question. What did you do to Josie while you were in Spain?”
Nick was silent but instead he smiled mockingly. “So Little Josette didn't say anything about—”
“Don't delay any longer, Joe. Let's go see Josie and ask her. I trust him more than my own siblings.”
“Isn't that cruel,” Nick's comments that no one has heard.
He followed them to the dining room, where Josette was enjoying the last drop of her blood bag. Nick looks scornful by the way Josette eats, while the other two don't care.
“Hai, Little Josette,” Hello Nick. She smiled but her eyes darkened as if saying something else.
Josette's anger was ignited when she heard Nick's voice. He threw the blood bag towards Nick, until his shirt was splashed with blood. “This is the person we are waiting for.”
Both Nick and Josette both cast sharp gazes at each other.
“It's nice to meet you too.” Regardless of the blood on her clothes, she pulled the chair across from Josette. “I'm already here. Where should this talk start.”
Suddenly Josette was panicked to make her nervous. Nick was in front of him but he was scared right now.
“Josie?” Jonathan called her slow. “What you want to tell us.”
The woman is still silent.
“Do I have to start, Little Sister?”
“I'm not your sister, Nick!” Josette growled furiously and it gave Nick a hint that Josette had invited him.
“I agree about it.”
“What the fuck are you two,” reprimand Jonathan.
“You can't shake that reality, Jonathan. I'm not really his sibling so it doesn't matter I guess that we're having sex.”
“What?!” It was Freya. “What did you say?”
“Josie, is that true?” ask Jonathan. No less shocked than Freya.
Josette just nodded.
“Why just nod, Love? As a half werewolf did I also smolder like your dead girlfriend?”
“This is not the time to joke, Nick.” Although surprised Jonathan still tried to calm down and not try to judge.
“You're Bastard!” Pekik Freya's. Already climbed on the table to hit his brother's obnoxious face but lost quickly to Jonathan.
“No fights! Do you understand!” Jonathan raised his voice until everyone fell silent.
“Bastard is my middle name, Freya. But you need to know that I don't play a foul tactic on every woman I'm going to sleep with.” His smile often appeared while staring at Josette who was still silent. “Everything just happens. You can ask Josette. We've been doing it for the last three months. Right, Love?”
“You make me nauseous,” said Freya. Not only was he angry, he also looked disappointed.
“Sorry that what I did cannot be accepted, Freya.”
“Don't mention my name!” Freya who was still emotionally ignited came to Josette, her hands were raised to hit and ended up hitting Nick who had put on the body first. “Oh! So now you're acting as her protector.”
“No. I'm just following Jonathan's request that there be no violence here.”
“Soide you from before me.” Josette pushed Nick aside. “What Nick said is only half of what you have to hear.”
“There is more?” ask Nick.
Josette turned her body towards Nick. “Yes, Nick. You want to know what it is?” For a moment Josette enjoyed seeing the curious look in Nick's eyes. “I'm pregnant with your child.”
Nick's laughter spouts.
Freya looked surprised.
Only Jonathan remained calm after hearing Josette's confession. “Which is possible,” he said quietly and can still be heard by the ears of the vampire in the room.
“That's what I mean, Brother,” Nick said in between his laughter.
“I've asked a witch named Emma to prove it. As vampires, didn't you hear it?” Spontaneous Josette touched her stomach until all the vampires in the room were focused on her.
Jonathan, though initially surprised, upon hearing the sound of a heartbeat, is finally made to smile, as is Freya. Even the woman was choked to her own tears noticing something in Josette's stomach. An unexpected reaction was found by Josette from Nick. She was initially shocked and in disbelief, and her eyes looked frightened, a small smile caught Josette's eyes before they were replaced by Nick's cold expression.
“No!” Nick chuckled as if he did not accept the reality. “It was just a trick, wasn't it?” he asked with a growling voice.
“This isn't a trick I deliberately made for you to laugh at, Nick. It's surreal. I'm pregnant with your child.”
“That's impossible!” His impact. Strangled and dropped Josette to the floor.
“Nick!” Freya Shouted.
The one who took quick action at that time was Jonathan. He broke the chair leg and stabbed the wood into Nick's back until it penetrated his chest. Nick growled furiously, pulled the wood and turned to attack Jonathan. If it wasn't for Josette suddenly standing in front of Jonathan, maybe the wood would have already stabbed him.
“Move from my way!” Both of Nick's eyes blackened as he was wrathful.
“Through me before you can hurt him.”
“Do not provoke it, Josie. Just stay away from the way.”
“No! I want to see what she's determined to be the mother of her child.”
“That's not my son,” furious Nick.
“Of course your son.”
“He will only get angry when he wakes up later, Freya.”
“Who cares.”
“I care. On you two.”
“Oh Josie.” Hugged the woman. “Tell us what we don't know.”
“My pregnancy is a gift that Rose gave me.”
Jonathan was silent for a moment. “Tell all on us.”
...***...
Jonathan had warned Josette of Nick's anger when she woke up and this is where he waited for the man. It's been two hours Nick's unconscious and soon he'll wake up. Of course Josette was not stupid to arm herself with one of Nick's stolen daggers. It will not make him die, the dagger stab was arguably powerful enough to paralyze Nick.
Taking a step back when he heard Nick groan. Josette was ready with her dagger when Nick suddenly sat upright on his bed. Full of anger but not moving in the least.
“You want to stab me with my own dagger, Love?” Nick's tone sounded unfriendly, like his gaze on the woman.
“If you're a no-no, I think so.”
Nick laughed at Josette's half-measure. “Almost a thousand years of this I've never even seen you stab anyone. You better see me doing that more often to our brothers and sisters,” he said as if talking about an exciting new movie.
“You really are a true psychopath.”
“Thank you for the compliment, Little Josette.” He attacked the room to open the door. Instead of walking out Nick instead made a gesture to expel Josette.
“No. We need to talk,” Josette said and slammed the door.
“We did it before Freya broke my neck. I think everything is clear.”
“Except one thing.”
“What is it?”
“My pregnancy questions.”
“For sure you haven't forgotten what I said just now. I don't need to repeat it again.”
It was Nick's repudiation that moved Josette to attack and drop him on the floor. Josette was right on top of Nick with a dagger pointed to his chest.
“I once lived with rejection and hatred from both my parents. Not much different from you.” Josette's voice was full of anger as well as what was seen on her face. “You could do something similar to your own flesh and blood! ”
“You talk as if it makes sense, Josette. We're vampires and I'm sure you know what that means,” Nick said with a cold look and voice.
Dropping the dagger, Josette took both of Nick's hands and stuck them to either side of his head. Josette let Nick in for a moment in her mind to see a memory, a conversation between her and Rose about the gift. After seeing that Nick's gaze looked pushy.
Josette's tears fell on her face, easing a moment of confusion in her mind. She let the woman collapse on top of her body and cry.
“It's unbelievable he did that to you,” Nick muttered.
Raising her face and looking at Nick, during her first encounter with Nick, Josette saw the way the man looked so different. As if this is the real figure of Nick actually.
“I didn't believe it at first either. Then after a long time of pondering, I felt the luckiest.”
Slowly Nick's gaze turned to Josette. He blinked slowly to get something out of his mind. Then I found Josette's face.
“There's someone who came.” Nick stood up as fast as lightning while holding Josette who had lost her footing. The sound of a knock on the door has brought back to Nick's former nature.
“One of your men came,” tell Freya.
Nick was relieved to have a reason to leave the room. He hurriedly walked over to meet the vampire. A grinning smile seemed as soon as he recognized the figure.
“Jackson, long time no see,” said.
The vampire nodded briefly showing his respect for Nick.
“How are our people doing?” ask Nick with interest.
“That's what brought me here. Two vampires were killed half an hour ago.”
As if today wasn't bad enough, Nick had to hear other bad news. “What happened?” His sharp gaze as well as his changing tone marked the change in mood of the man.
Nick's curiosity is answered by Jonathan. He informed of the events that were terrorizing this city and the results of his discussion with Serafina yesterday. “How can I go home at the right time,” he told Jonathan. “Jackson, let's meet our friends.”
Jackson takes Nick and Jonathan to the vampire's house. Nothing has changed with that place, Nick said. In addition to the increasing number of vampires inhabiting this place. He was happy with the increase in that number. Then the bodies of the two vampires were seen. Both men and when viewed from their stature, the two men looked like they were teenagers.
Crouching down, Nick puts one hand over one of the vampire heads. His eyes seemed dull when he entered the vampire's mind. Turning his head back, while looking at Jonathan and Jackson he said, “I have not seen who is the mastermind of all this. What is clear is that the witch killed the vampires to draw the power they have,” tell Nick.
“Surely for the ritual.”
Nick agreed. “Unfortunately this is not just an ordinary ritual. The witch needed a lot of power for her dark magic. Seeing what happened I can conclude the magic was aimed at awakening something.”
“Or someone,” connect Jonathan.
Nick agreed with his brother. “You want to know what I got after entering our friend's mind? The witch wants the strongest vampire.”
“Pure Blood,” murmured Jackson.
Nick flashed a sly smile as soon as a plan rolled into his head. “Urus their bodies, Jack. I have to do something for this place.”
Approaching the gate, Nick seemed to be rubbing his palms before starting on something he was about to do. Then he poked his palm forward at chest level, slightly bent his elbow then concentrated when casting a spell.
“Le quie sat atyo. Le quie sat atyo.”
The spell continued to be spoken for almost a minute. The wind was blowing around the place. All along whatever spell was spoken from Nick's mouth, Jonathan could feel how powerful the spell was. Nick is feared by all supernatural beings. Not only cruel and dangerous, he is known indiscriminate when it comes to killing. But his strength was the most feared.
All his brothers bear witness to Nick's brutality. One of them happened shortly before Nick killed their father. Jonathan realized something very dark in his sister after becoming a tribrid. He let Nick leave the Sherwoods for decades. He believed himself that Nick needed time alone.
After Nick died, not infrequently they heard news about the massacre somewhere. Knowing that it's Nick's doing, Dominic starts hunting him down. Seventy-eight years later, Dominic tracks down Nick. She invited all her children—including Josette—to capture and execute Nick. It was a small village on the hillside. When we got there, there was no more life.
Jonathan just saw everything red and fire in that place. Bodies, pieces of body, all lying there. The person they were looking for appeared with a cheerful look as he watched his family gather. Jonathan remembers Nick greeting him. Around the man's mouth was a blood stain and he was chewing something, which is known as the heart.
Because he considers all of Nick's actions to be over the limit, Dominic immediately took a black peg with dark magic made by Rose. They hit each other until Dominic managed to bring down Nick. But the man forgot who his son really was. He is a tribrid that refers to one meaning. The most powerful supernatural creature ever created. Before the peg pierced his heart, Nick cast a spell. He took the stake and stuck it in Dominic. The fire instantly devoured their father's body and after becoming ashes, they abandoned it.
The fact that Nick is much stronger among them sometimes makes Jonathan grateful as well as afraid. He knows that Nick loves his brothers but he can be so angry with them. Then now they are faced with a problem between Nick and Josette. Jonathan feels ill knowing Nick is rejecting his own son and he cannot predict what kind of action Nick will take next.
“I'm done, Joe.”
Nick's voice breaks Jonathan's daydream. Jackson isn't everywhere, just Nick. Standing looking at him with breath.
“Then, let's go home.”
