Two Confessions

"You still haven't forgiven me?" ask Emily to David who has been ignoring her ever since. The girl had been pleading and apologizing to David for an hour. Even Emily has apologized to her best friend since two days ago after David's birthday party ended. But David has not forgiven him. Even ignoring the girl by not talking to her.

Emily is at David's house. It was in that man's room. There were only the two of them at home. While David's Mom and Dad had gone to town to buy some new kitchen utensils. That's what Aunt Grace said before she left.

Both are now in the living room of the house. They were accompanied by the sound of a television that lit but since then no one noticed the rectangular shaped object.

Emily was there to apologize to David. The girl understands that David is very upset with her for ruining his first birthday party with Tessa. Especially the salty cake. Emily knows very well that David has loved Tessa since school. But David did not dare to declare his love to Tessa.

The reason is not that David is afraid to compete with the many men who like Tessa. When compared to all the men who pursue Tessa, David is the most handsome and most popular among them all. Not only among the admirers of Tessa alone, but among all the male students in their school, David was the most valued by all the girls.

Tessa was a popular schoolgirl at the time, due to the beauty and humble attitude attached to the girl. For the first time David fears his love is rejected by Tessa because David is famous as a playboy.

"What do I have to do to forgive me?" tessa asked.

David was not angry with Emily. It's just that the man wanted to get back at Emily. David knew very well that Emily could not linger angry with him. Although sometimes David very upset Emily, but his best friend will not live for more than three hours.

"Dave come on. It's just a cake thing. I can make you ten more cookies for you to give Tessa." Emily begins to get angry at David's attitude. For the girl, the issue of cake is just a matter of trivial and does not need to be exaggerated as it is now.

"I've apologized to Tessa and your relationship is fine."

David still chose to focus on his reading books. That handsome guy doesn't care about what Emily says. I don't know what books David is reading now. Since then, David has changed books every ten minutes.

"Again the book you read is the best" Emily said, confirming the position of the book David read.

"If you want to ignore me at least do it the right way." Emily's laughter broke with her last words.

"Damn," David condemned his own stupidity. How could he not notice that the book he was holding was upside down. Honestly, David had no idea what book he was holding. The man just wanted to ignore Emily, but now he's the one who looks stupid in front of his best friend.

"Be quiet, Mily" said David because he couldn't bear to hear Emily laugh at him.

Emily laughed triumphantly. "Bas stupid."

"I beg you to stop" asked David.

Emily slowly stopped laughing at her best friend. "Never try to ignore me Dave. You're just gonna look ridiculous."

"Hmmmm.." David.

"Tell me... Is it my fault you can't forgive? Actually, everything that happened wasn't entirely my fault."

"What do you mean?"

"You never told me you were dating Tessa. And everything I do because of my ignorance. I just wanted to give you a special surprise."

David realizes that everything is not Emily's fault. It's true what Emily said that it wasn't entirely the girl's fault. Emily has apologized to Tessa several times.

"When have you dated Tessa?" ask Emily very curious. Even Emily squinted both eyes demanding that the question be answered immediately by David.

"From a few hours before I took her home."

"You're serious?"

"Of course."

Emily was at a loss for words because of David's answer. This is the first time David has invited a girl to his house to meet Aunt Grace and Uncle Tom. They only dated in a matter of hours.

David never introduced his girlfriend to his parents. Only Emily knows all of David's girlfriends. Then after a few weeks or a few months David's romance ended. One of the reasons is Emily. All of David's ex-girlfriends are jealous of David and Emily's closeness.

"That just happened to Mily. I met Tessa a few times in Bern and we started getting close. Then...." David pressed his shoulders and did not continue.

"Then you dated her and took her home to introduce her to your parents" Emily said.

"Yes that's how."

Suddenly Emily takes the book in David's hand and hits the man with her book. Emily was very upset with her best friend.

After getting a few punches, David recaptures his book from Emily's hands. If David hadn't stopped the girl, David would've gotten some bruises from Emily's punches.

"Stop Mily, it hurts so much" David said. The man held one of Emily's hands holding the book. The two sat facing each other and looked at each other. Emily's two-eye glow clearly showed that the girl was very upset at the man before her at this moment.

"Are you stupid?" ask Emily after managing her breath.

"What do you mean?" David really did not understand the words of his best friend.

"After you introduce her to Aunt Grace and Uncle Tom then one week or one month later your relationship with Tessa will end. You know, both of your parents really liked Tessa. What if later they were disappointed because his son dumped a girl as good as Tessa," explained Emily at length.

It's true what Emily said, that David's parents really liked Tessa even though they had only met her once. Emily just doesn't want David's parents to be disappointed. Emily, Aunt Grace and Uncle Tom are like her own parents.

David was stunned to hear Emily's words. The man really didn't expect that his best friend Emily was thinking that far about her relationship and Tessa.

David's heart was moved by the care Emily had given him and his parents. Emily is a really good girl.

Then David smiled at Emily who was still putting on an annoyed face. The man placed both his hands on Emily's shoulders. "You're very nice Mily. I didn't expect that you'd think that way about my parents' feelings" David said. The man knew that Emily loved her family very sincerely.

"You just calm down. I'm sure this will be my last love trip."

"You promise?" ask Emily to confirm the truth of David's words.

"I promise," David answered solemnly.

David took Emily into his arms. David felt so lucky to have a friend as good as Emily. David loved Emily with all his heart.

"You love her?" ask Emily who is still in David's arms.

"Hmmm... Even long ago" said David.

"And I love you. I know that my life will be fine as long as I'm with you. Stay with me" said David. A heartfelt confession and request to her best friend Emily.
