144 - Alarming Conditions
Cakra and Shi watched where a radiant pattern appeared suddenly, and then the Black Spirit in an instant was devoured by the flames. Both of them were made to hold their breath looking at the horrifying stance just now.
"W-what? Who did it? That black R-spirit had completely vanished." Shi downed a nervous drool. Now the ashes of the Black Spirit flew upwards before completely disappearing. Shi circulated a glance as he muttered, "who obliterated this Black Spirit? Hey, get out."
The chakras themselves are still frozen. Seeing the manner of obliterating the Black Spirit just now made him start to remember the events during the final round. Just when Amdara also seemed to have performed the same pattern, and again the style was to eliminate the Black Spirit.
Cakra circulated his gaze, he remembered when Amdara had bounced and until the disappearance of the Black Spirit had not returned either.
"Senior, find Luffy."
Cakra's words made Shi realize that Amdara had not yet returned. He then shouted to the white-haired boy. There was no answer, which made Shi worried. He flew, in a different direction to Cakra who also occasionally called Amdara's name.
Amdara himself is now in a state of concern. After attacking the Black Spirit, for some reason he felt his body was extremely limp and also his strength was reduced a lot like never before. Several times Amdara tried to absorb the power of nature, but what happened was that his body felt very painful. Like there's thousands of body-piercing needles. Such a state of affairs reminded him of the Red Thread that had once wrapped around his spiritual core.
Amdara heard Shi and Cakra say his name out loud. However, when Amdara was about to open his voice, his throat hurt for some reason. Now to stand alone it feels very difficult. All Amdara could do now was sit around waiting for Cakra and Shi to find him.
"What's wrong with my body?"
Anxiety was certainly eating away at the white-haired boy's mind. He began to think something might happen inside his body, only that he did not know what was happening.
It took a long time to find Amdara sitting on a tree. His face was already very pale, his body was also limp. When Cakra found him, he immediately called Shi's name to come closer.
"Luffy, what's wrong with your body?"
Cakra was shocked by Amdara's current state. He examined internal and external injuries that turned out not to be too severe. However, when Cakra channeled its power into Amdara's body it intended to aid his recovery, but something that shocked Cakra occurred. The power of Cakra was suddenly rejected by the white-haired boy.
"Senior, it was a waste."
Amdara's remarks added confusion to Cakra's facial features. Amdara then said that his body would not be able to accept the flow of strength of a stranger or anyone. That brief explanation made Cakra even more jolted.
This was the first time for Cakra to hear and conduct a direct trial of how one's body was purely resisting the flow of another's power. Never once did the chakras read about the body like this.
"Luffy, are you okay?! How are you doing now?! Are your wounds bad?!"
Shi landed quickly beside Amdara, he then began checking Amdara's state using force. Shi was very worried. His right hand touched Amdara's palm which was so cold and limp. It was as if Amdara was now completely lacking in strength.
"Geez, Luffy. Were you sick before?"
"Luffy, what's wrong with you? Don't deny my power. I'm just gonna heal your wounds, okay?" Shi grunts. He did not know that Amdara's body belonged to a special body that not just anyone could channel power.
"Senior, that's pure repulsion from my body." Obviously Amdara was a little anxious as well as sad. Worried also he would make a burden to these two seniors on the trip.
Shi flinched, he raised next to his brows not understanding. Cakra who saw Shi's reaction immediately explained.
"Pure rejection means Luffy's body is like automatically rejecting power." Cakra also said what Amdara had said before.
Shi's face was shocked again. He touched Amdara's extremely cold forehead as well as the white-haired boy's cheeks. Although Shi did not understand pure repulsion, but he did not bother. Helping Amdara to sit properly, Amdara's head was tendered to Shi's chest.
Amdara blinked, she was just about to refuse. But Shi immediately said, "you're sick. Don't move much."
As a result Amdara can only resign. He tried to re-absorb the power of nature that had begun to feel difficult again. Amdara sighed, she closed her eyes for a moment.
Shi slowly stroked Amdara's head with a warm feeling. He already considered Amdara like his own sister. While Amdara was not in a state of fine form, Shi was of course inwardly blaming himself for not being able to look after Luffy's sister.
"Is it because of the Black Spirit attack?" ask Shi lirih. However, it was clearly heard in Amdara's ears.
Amdara can only exhale. He also doesn't know for sure. Amdara answered softly, "maybe."
Seeing Amdara's condition, Cakra could only remain silent. He undoes the intention of asking about the manner that obliterated the Black Spirit.
That night they agreed to rest while waiting for the morning to say hello. Cakra sat on the branch of the tree while watching around, worried if any demons would attack.
Thank goodness until morning when no demon approached. The morning sun brings a speck of light to the leaves in the forest. Amdara's condition has not yet recovered, it is impossible for them to wait for Amdara's condition to fully recover. Although Shi and Cakra did not mind that they would arrive late to the residence of Elder Haki, it made Amdara feel bad and asked them to continue the journey immediately.
Shi was initially angered by Amdara's stubbornness. However, in the end he lost the debate with the boy from First Class C. Shi until made silent could not reply once more. Amdara assisted Shi to fly on his way. They are not too fast because of Amdara's current condition.
Shi exhaled a few times that made Amdara raise his eyebrows confused. Amdara asked without the slightest tone, "Senior, what's wrong?"
Shi only glanced at a glance before he took a deep breath. The look on his face was different, looking like a person who regretted something. Shi softly began to say what made him behave thus.
