Chapter 91: The Wounded Heart

"Wait"

That one word was able to mute Ead who almost put food in his mouth. Luckily Subha used the low tone earlier so only her husband heard.

"What's up, Subha?" ead asked Subha who immediately looked at him.

"Gee!! I want that" Pinta Subha very spoiledly pointed at the yam balls that were on the plates of other guests. Unfortunately, the guest was notoriously stingy.

"Subha. Before we go home, we'll find yam balls for you. Ok?" persuade Ead to rub Subha's face many times.

"Hmm I don't want Ead. I want it" Kekeh Subha wants to grab it immediately. But Ead immediately pulled Subha's hand.

"Interminatedly" Ead cleared his throat to let go of the nervousness, "Mr Elbino!!"

"Yes, Ead?" answer with a mouth full of yam balls.

Ead was getting nervous to see the guests' eyes fixed on him. This is the first time Ead has taken attention only to the yam balls.

"Hem, Mr. Elbino, I want to ask you for something" said Ead rambling so Subha immediately pulled out her suit to immediately express her intentions.

"Yes, Ead said, don't hesitate because we are all your partners" Michaela told Ead, who was still embarrassed.

"I want your yam balls. My wife is cravings"

Of course they would laugh out loud hearing a man like Ead would ask only for an ordinary yam. This is not an Ead at all.

"Don't be laughed at or you'll feel the same way as Ead" Michaela told her best friend, "He's a responsible man who treats his wife well, even he was degrading his image only to his pregnant wife"

Michaela walked holding the smooth shoulder of the veiled woman. "You're lucky to get a guy like Ead, Subha"

"Thank you, Mrs Michaela" replied Subha smiling inside her veil.

Subha should be grateful for getting a guy like Ead. Although he is a convert whose religion is far from that of other Muslims, Ead is so responsible. He was willing to change his religion, even moving countries just to always be with his wife.

"Elbino, can Ead ask for your yam balls?" michaela asked with a face begging the stingy man to give it to her.

"Actually, I'm a stingy person but since she's pregnant then I'll split it up a bit. But this is not for the closed girl, I gave it to the baby who was in her stomach" Elbino said with a cheerful smile.

"Thank you, Mr. Elbino" said Ead bowing his body.

"Eh don't say it's Ead. You'll have to pay later. After your baby is born.if it's a man it should be my daughter-in-law and if it's a woman, then it remains my daughter-in-law hahah" quipped Elbino.

Ead came to embrace Elbino's shoulder, "That's all done. Most importantly it's where the mother-in-law is for my children"

"Ohh it looks like you are insinuating me to get married!! That's all right, Ead, is Cristina ready or not?" Elbino held the hand of the woman sitting next to him.

"May" Cristina replied again enlivening the atmosphere.

"Now this is my party turning into their party" Michaela replied with a happy laugh.

Elbino immediately gave some yam balls to Ead to give to his wife.

"Thank you" said Subha and Ead simultaneously.

"Sama-sama" said Elbino let Ead give the balls to Subha who immediately ate them.

Almaty Restaurant

This morning two women were having breakfast at a restaurant in the city. The restaurant is so famous for the residents who fill every seat there.

"How's umi, what's good?" leiska asked Umi Riverlyn who was eating with her. After his meeting a few weeks ago made the two familiar.

"What a son. Alham used to eat at this restaurant but because he was grown so Umi did not know where he was visiting" said Umi Riverlyn smiling behind her veil.

Because Umi has talked about Alham, of course it makes Leiska silent. He still refuses to talk about the man now.

"Umi, did Umi get a call from Subha when they got there safely"

"Alhamdulillah. Umi is very happy" Umi replied to Leiska. "By the way, are you still reluctant to get into our teachings? That is to say, your brother and all the people closest to you have become Muslims"

Leiska took a deep breath. When asked about religion, Leiska is always restless. He wanted to convert to Islam, but he was not confident.

"Well, a woman like myself could become a Muslim and join the ranks of holy women like you and Subha?" leiska said demeaning herself.

Umi let out a subtle sigh, "No one is forcing you and no one is forbidding you from entering into our teachings. Whenever you want, come to the Nursultan assembly"

"Well, Umi" Leiska replied with a smile.

Some passes.

The Nursultan Mosque is full of the people of Almaty. They immediately filled the place to perform Maghrib prayers.

However, there was only one woman with a black veil still no sign of entering the mosque. He stood up and just looked.

"Leiska?" a man saw the woman he saw wearing a head covering. The European woman was so beautiful to decorate the view of Alham who saw her.

"Come!! This yourself?" alham's eyes were heating up realizing that. "You're a muslim?"

Alham thought when he saw Leiska wearing a veil, this woman had converted to Islam. Who would have thought that woman shook her head.

"Then why are you wearing a hijab?" ask Alham who was so curious.

Leiska let out a subtle breath, "I just want to pay a visit to a building that is considered beautiful and makes the heart calm"

Leiska's eyes stared at the building. The magnificent Nursultan Mosque is decorated with flickering lights and calligraphy carvings.

"Everybody wears a veil. It would look weird if I didn't follow them. They'll make me the center of attention." Leiska said casually with both hands crossed in front of her chest.

"Leiska, don't you have the intention to have the same trust as me? We will get married and build a family that is so harmonious" Alham said trying to grab Leiska's hands, but the woman immediately brushed him off.

"That was my old hope, Alham. But now, no longer. I just want to continue the rest of my life in this touched body. I did that only because of my brother Ead, just because of that guy.so please don't see me again"

Alham's heart ached to hear Leiska reject his love. Accompanied by the chanting of the holy verse, Leiska had decided to stay away.

"Faith, status, everything. Is it not enough to be a sign of God that your Lord has forbidden it"
