Chapter 15: The Capital of Arcatia

Arinfred brought 3,000 men including three of his commanders, all the troops from the principality built tents in the eastern part of the fort, they also rested there.

Enclair welcomes Arinfred to the dining room, where he is hosted by several of his commanders.

While some of the soldiers from the fortress headed for the camp to exchange food ingredients and recipes, they were able to get along quickly.

In the dining room, Elclair sat in the middle seat of the table while Tharlute stood on his right side.

The waiter began to serve them food, they ate first before discussing a conversation.

The plan was that they would go to the big city of the clan residence that changed its status to the capital of the Arcatia state.

As Arinfred looked hungry, he finished all the food, all the empty dishes and only bones, some vegetables and the rest of the sauce.

"When the distance of your territory with this fortress is still close, but you spent the treats we gave"

Arinfred downed the wine and said "don't underestimate my stomach, Miss Enclair"

"We have prepared rooms for all of you, and tomorrow we will meet the grand sage in the capital"

"I'll look at my room and after that I'll go around"

A soldier led them to four rooms lined up, they saw a clean and tidy room, and in the room was a window that made sunlight enter the room.

They try to sleep in the bed to check if the bed is soft or not.

The four people gathered in the corridor discussing about the nymph of the guest room in a fortress.

They were all going around when the sky had turned orange, they saw the changing of the army that was standing guard on the wall.

All the soldiers who were replaced were rushing towards their barracks and it seemed like they were going to sleep until morning.

They climbed the stone steps to reach the wall and saw the scene with the archers on the wall and the supervisory troops in the watchtower.

The four men returned in the evening, Elclair had prepared a hot spring bath in the bathhouse located in the fort

They were four using Tharlute's private bath, the four people were using the bath after Tharlute took a bath, while Enclair took a bath in a public bath for women.

They all gathered for dinner, and Arinfred lowered his head and thanked him.

"Thank you to Ms. Enclair, we've already felt your hospitality, if this is the case, we'd like to stay here"

The shocked reaction as well as the sense of rejection was clearly plastered on Tharlute's face.

Everyone slept after dinner, except for the night watchmen who took turns to stand guard at the fort and also at the camp.

Before they crossed, they collected water in water bags to drink, and then cleaned their bodies with river water that was so swift the current.

They continued their journey again, ahead there was a high cliff as far as the eye could see.

Shortly after they entered the high cliff area, the capital was very close.

"Capitalization is very close from here, so we accelerate our steps" said Enclair.

Slowly looking at the wall from their viewpoint, the cliff covered the view of the city, the city was only visible when they made it through the high cliff.

"What is this wall, this wall looks strong and thick" said Arinfred

Seeing the walls of the capital, all the mental steel of the troops became shriveled and could not imagine if they had to conquer the capital.

Some of the soldiers were surprised at the undead who became archers on the wall

"See that!!, isn't that an undead?"

"Why could there be such a high-level undead on that wall"

Shouted the troops were shocked, Alfred and his three commanders to the point of surprise and stop the troop move

Enclair who saw the frightened troops immediately calmed them down and said "the undead belonged to the necromancer magician of our clan, don't worry, it was the city garrison"

They were also calm and amazed that the Synore Clan, which they had only heard of, was now seeing something that they could not imagine with the presence of undead on the wall.

Instantly Arinfred lamented the actions of his brother who acted foolishly by fighting this kind of supremacy.
