Chapter 9. Lunch at the Grand Duchy

At lunchtime, Aimee immediately rushed towards the dining room. Halfway through he met Xiao Li, the man immediately smiled when he saw Aimee, as did Aimee.

Aimee again greeted the Eastern culture, making Xiao Li smile even more deeply.

Althaf who saw the arrival of Aimee and Xiao Li immediately stood up, then walked towards Xiao Li while extending his right hand to shake hands.

"Welcome to my Grand Duchy, prince Li. Please sit down and enjoy lunch today" said Althaf, the man wearing a thin smile of friendship.

Aimee who saw the man acting so pretentious could only shut up and look at the strange man, then she walked towards his dining chair and sat down. Aimee sat beside Althaf, while Xiao Li was opposite them.

While he was busy eating the food that was in front, Xiao Li suddenly asked, "It looks like his noble wife has an amazing talent." Althaf's eating activity came to a halt after hearing Xiao Li's praise of Aimee. Aimee too so, the woman immediately smiled gently.

Althaf nodded briefly. "Yes, thank you." Aimee's smile immediately disappeared after hearing Althaf's reply, annoyed. The man really wanted himself to stab using their lunch knife this time.

Xiao Li noticed the look on Althaf and Aimee's face, when he discovered something strange between the two, the man deepened his smile even more.

The lunch was very awkward and stiff, it was all because of Althaf. That man really pissed Aimee off.

Before parting ways in the dining room, Althaf asked, "Prince Li, what if you use the chariot from the Grand Duchy to go to the Palace? Looks like your train took a long time to repair."

Xiao Li shook his head slowly with a smile. "Thank you very much for your offer, Your Majesty. But it seems that I want to wait for my chariot alone, in fact I have a habit of not being able to feel comfortable in the chariot other than the property of this prince."

"Prince Li, let's go around" Aimee said, then the two of them walked out of the dining room after being answered by a gentle nod from Xiao Li.

In the midst of his fun touring the Grand Duchy, Aimee while starting a casual chat.

"What about the noble wife's son?" ask Aimee.

Xiao Li smiled faintly. "I have no children, my wife is one. We married by the Emperor's word."

"What about the Grand Duchess?" asked Xiao Li.

Aimee smiled faintly, there was a cold and bland lightning from her smile, and this was captured by Xiao Li's eyes.

"We got married of a mutual will" Aimee replied soberly, the woman's gaze cold.

"Oh, you two must love each other. Getting married without coercion from any party must be very fun" Xiao Li said.

Aimee silently clenched her right hand. Silly sentences. Whatisit? Love each other? They had never even slept in bed except on the wedding night one year ago, when they both did nothing but sleep on their backs.

"What's up, Grand Duchess?" xiao Li asked, his footsteps halted while continuing to look towards Aimee. Aimee also stopped her steps, then looked at Xiao Li and tried to smile as naturally as possible as before.

"It's okay, forgive me for daydreaming" replied Aimee.

"You seem lonely and sad, are you really okay? If you want, you can share your story with me. I'm happy to listen to other people's stories" Xiao Li replied.

Aimee shook her head again, she was a little surprised that Xiao Li was this friendly and open with her.

Aimee shook her head slowly. "Really, I'm okay, your Honor. I just accidentally daydreamed."

Seeing that Aimee didn't seem too eager to open up to him yet, Xiao Li smiled faintly and nodded lightly. "Alright, but if you have a problem and are confused about who you want to tell, you can look for me. I really like being a listener, I am also very happy to provide solutions to help someone's problems. "Until we meet again at the Palace, the Grand Duchess. Thank you very much for your help" Xiao Li said.

Aimee nodded briefly. "It's not something big, Prince Li. If you get into trouble while in Ventumia, you can contact me."

"really? Alright then, I am happy to hear it," Xiao Li replied, after which she got inside her carriage.

Without Aimee and Xiao Li noticing, their activities were around until Xiao Li got into the horse carriage and left the Grand Duchy, it had been monitored by a pair of cold and sharp eagle eyes from the top floor of the Castle. Althaf, the man noticed Aimee and Xiao Li were very clingy.
