The Grand Duchess Aldrich

The Grand Duchess Aldrich
Chapter 3. Leandra's Future Is on Aimee's Decision

Two days after the death of Duke Leandra's family head, the entire senior of the extended family held a closed-door meeting inside the Castle.

The chair that her late father used to sit in was now empty, Aimee could do nothing to ward off the sadness and loneliness in her heart.

"I know the meaning of the late Duke's last message." A senior of the Leandra family, speak up. He is the younger brother of his father, Thomas Leandra.

"For hundreds of years Leandra always acted neutral, not in favor of the A or B camp. However, the current state of the seizure of the throne was quietly growing hotter behind the Emperor. The risks are enormous, one of which could lead to the destruction of the Empire. Looks like the late Duke asked us to choose one of the parties, between the second prince and the Crown Prince." Thomas Leandra, relaying what was on his mind regarding his late brother's last message to Aimee.

"Then what is the meaning of the word 'married' behind it?" ask the others.

Thomas Leandra fell silent, then looked at Aimee seriously. "Maybe .. the late Duke wanted the decision to be held by Lady Aimee. And the result of Lady Aimee's decision, is to marry that choice."

"If Lady Aimee marries Grand Duke Aldrich, doesn't that mean that the Leandra family indirectly shows everyone that we support the Crown Prince?" ask another one. Thomas Leandra nodded upon hearing this.

Aimee fell silent, she clenched both her hands silently. Political marriage, how could this happen to her so suddenly?

Abighail Leandra who had been listening to the nobles discussing her brother, now spoke up. "Why did the late Duke have to make a choice between the second prince and Grand Duke Aldrich? Why not directly between the Crown Prince and the second prince? Has not the Leandra family often given birth to the descendants of an Empress of Ventumia? My brother should have been the Crown Princess of this Empire."

Abighail Leandra, a fifteen-year-old boy, shows his wife as the head of the family and replaces his father. But because he had to attend school outside the Empire, for now Abighail Leandra had not been able to quickly inherit the position. The new 'Duke Leandra' position was still empty, the boy chose to finish his studies first.

The entire noble fell silent upon hearing Abighail's question, what the man said was true. As the meeting grew more intense, the nobles occasionally urged Aimee to issue an answer to her choice. They were very sure of what Thomas Leandra said.

Aimee continued to refuse to answer, she could not answer for such a big decision right now. He doesn't know who or what he will choose. The second prince or Grand Duke, both Aimee did not want to choose.

The second prince, Aimee often saw him everywhere. The man was an overwhelming number of female fans, he also had power that was almost on par with the Crown Prince. Aimee did not know much about the second Prince, she rarely made intense contact with the higher-ups of the Empire who were close to the throne such as the Emperor, the Crown Prince, the second Prince, Grand Duke Aldrich.

As for Grand Duke Aldrich, he had once paid attention to this man. Althaf is inversely proportional to the second prince, he is not friendly smile and looks not like to hang out with people who are not important to him. As Aimee knew, this man held seventy percent of the Empire's military power, as this was his highly respected and most influential position. Grand Duke Aldrich still had blood ties with the Imperial family, he was the Emperor's youngest brother at the moment. You could say, he was the young uncle of the Crown Prince and the second prince.

"Lady Aimee, have you decided?" ask Thomas Leandra.

Aimee glanced at her uncle, then replied, "Not now. I'll give you the answer tomorrow morning, tonight let me think well. Decisions like this can't be decided haphazardly."

Thomas Leandra nodded. "I understand, if you need any help or advice, please contact me immediately. Lady Aimee, the future of the Leandra family now depends on your decision. I hope you make the right decision."

Aimee nodded back, now for a moment she felt that a huge, very heavy stone was placed on her shoulder.

After the meeting was over, Aimee immediately headed for her study. He wants to think quickly. While inside the study, Abighail suddenly entered without knocking on the door.

"I'm sorry I didn't knock, there's something I want to give to brother" Abighail said.

Aimee looked at her confused sister, rarely did her sister look serious to her. This boy was more spoiled if only the two and the nuclear family were present.

"Why are you showing this to me now?" aimee asked, staring at her confused sister.

Abighail smiled faintly, then replied, "I want you to wear this ring first as long as I'm still busy studying outside the Empire."

Aimee frowned. "I don't want-"

"Must want to, brother. There are many layers of the Leandra family who want to occupy the main family position," Abighail cut.

"Right now all we can trust is Uncle Thomas, the rest I don't want to believe. You understand what I mean, right?" connect Abighail.

Gts ... Gts ... Gts ....

The sound of knocking on the door rang out, Cecilia immediately entered after getting a welcome reply from Aimee.

"Lady, there's a letter from Grand Duchy Aldrich for you" Cecilia said.

"Grand Duchy?" aimee asked, her eyes glancing coldly at the letter Cecilia was holding.

Cecilia immediately put the letter on Aimee's desk, then immediately resigned. Letting Abighail and Aimee continue the discussion.

"Surprisingly enough, a letter from the Grand Duchy. It looks like the Grand Duke knows something," Abighail said. Aimee did not reply, the woman immediately opened her letter and began to read.

"What's it all about, brother?" ask Abighail curious.

Aimee closed the letter, then leaned her right hand on the table and propped her chin there. "For dinner."

Abighail was wide-eyed, she was shocked. Previously, the Grand Duke had never had a close relationship with Leandra and was also considered bad. Their relationship was flat, as Leandra was more focused on supporting the current Emperor rather than busy choosing between the Crown Prince and the second prince. This also applies to the relationship of Leandra and the second angel.

"Sister is coming?" ask Abighail.

"But if it's like this, it's afraid that some people think that we've sided with the Crown Prince through the Grand Duke" Abighail continued.

Aimee nodded briefly. "I get it, I'll come in hiding."

Abighail let out a huffed breath. "Why are so many annoying things coming in a row after dad left?"

"It's still not much, Abighail," Aimee replied.
