The Charm of the Duda

The Charm of the Duda
Chapter 66

Celina walked quickly towards the Papa's study. His large stomach is increasingly visible in pregnancy that will step on the 6th month.

The whole house was made a scene because one of the house workers found Papa Adiguna lying on the floor.

It was that boisterous voice that finally made Celina come out of her room and rush down.

"What is this.? Papa why.?"

With a look of anxious face mixed in confusion, Celina asked everyone who was there. Including Mama who was crying beside Papa Adiguna.

"Papa fainted dear," Isak Mama sniffled. She continued rubbing her husband's palm, hoping to open her eyes soon.

"We have to take Papa to Mah's hospital." Celina Exclamation. He also began to shed tears because he was sad mixed with fear of seeing the condition of the unconscious Papa with a pale face.

Not yet answered, three male workers went inside.

"Quick get it to the car," Mama exclaimed at them.

The three workers rushed to pick up Papa Adiguna.

Celina just realized that those in the workspace were female workers who would not be able to lift Papa Adiguna.

"Celina goes with Mah," Celina follows her from behind.

"No dear, this is urgent. You better call Vano, tell him to come home and you can go to the hospital with Vano." Mama said firmly. He did not want to take the risk by taking Celina who was pregnant to join a car with him.

Bringing someone who is in need of fast handling, will definitely rush to do his car to get there quickly.

That is what my mom avoided. Afraid that the car would brake suddenly.

Not only that, Mama is also afraid if later Papa Adiguna's disease is revealed in front of Celina.

I don't know what kind of reaction Celina if she knows the pain that has long been suffered by the Papa.

At the very least, by having Celina go to the hospital with Vano, Mam can buy time to be able to talk to doctors and nurses there to hide Papa Adiguna's disease in front of Celina.

"Pity is also the same Naura, she will look for us if you wake up later."

"Don't worry, Papa must be fine. He's just exhausted."

"Mama go first," Mama gently rubbed Celina's shoulder before rubbing it out.

Celina was forced to comply because she had no choice. He went straight back to his room to pick up his cell phone and contacted Vano.

It was only 2pm, Vano must still be busy with his work.

"Hello," said Celina as soon as her phone call was connected.

"What's up, honey.? I'm still in the conference room,"

Vano's voice whispered. It seemed reluctant to attract the attention of everyone in the room.

Celina was silent for a moment. Knowing her husband is still in a meeting, Celina hesitates to tell Vano the bad news.

"Celina.? Are you okay.?" Vano asked softly, but his tone still sounded anxious.

"Speak something." Said again.

Celina instantly regained her senses.

"There's something I want to talk about, can you go home now.?"

Celina purposely did not directly say what really happened. He did not want the news to make Vano concentration split and in the end will make Vano not focus on driving.

"What about, dear.?"

"You can talk on the phone in 30 minutes, I have to finish the meeting." Vano rejects subtle indirectly. He couldn't have left the meeting at that moment.

"I'll call you later."

Celina was a little annoyed to hear that.

"So work is more important than me.?" Asked Celina in a tinge. He immediately turned off his phone, reluctant to listen to Vano's explanation which would certainly be much based.

Shortly after turning off her phone, Celina's phone rang. Vano called back, but Celina refused to answer and just let the phone keep ringing.

Until the third call, Celina would not pick him up either.

After that, I got a message from Vano.

Don't be mad, I'm home now.

Celina breathed a sigh of relief reading the message from Vano.

To be honest Celina was reluctant to throw out a sentence that she should not have said to Vano, but Celina had no other way to make Vano obey her orders.

...*****...

Celina is waiting for Vano in the courtyard. He left Naura to Ida because he could not take her to the hospital.

Vano got down from the car, staring confusedly at Celina who was getting closer with a sad face.

Fear appeared as Celina directly hugged him and sounded sobs.

"Darling, what's up.?" Vano returned Celina's embrace, rubbing her back gently to provide calmness.

"Papa, Papa's in the hospital right now." Celina said. He let go of his embrace, forcibly wiping away his tears that were still continuing to flow.

"Come to the hospital," he asked.

Vano was shocked to hear that. His mind was instantly muddled, afraid that if Celina knew the real Papa Adiguna disease.

"Don't cry, Papa must be fine."

Vano tried to make Celina calm, even though in her heart she was also anxious and scared as Celina felt. Even more afraid than that because Vano already knows the true condition of Papa Adiguna.

Vano drove his car to the hospital. He could only be silent, occasionally glancing at Celina who continued to cry silently.

Just seeing the unconscious Papa had made his feelings so broken.

Van seemed unable to see Celina more broken than this.

Not only Celina who is worried by Vano, but the child in Celina's womb is also very worried. If Celina's condition worsens, it could have a negative impact on her pregnancy.

"Honey, slow down. You're pregnant,,"

Vano again reprimanded Celina for the third time. Since arriving at the hospital, Celina walked quickly because she wanted to get to the room where Papa Adiguna was treated.

Celina seemed to forget her big belly.

"Sorry, but I want to see Papa immediately," said Celina weakly. His face was very seducer, showing sadness that he had never shown before.

Vano can understand that, because he also felt in the position of Celina. Seeing the sick old man, then have to stay forever.

"Well," Celina walked over to Mama who was sitting in front of the room with her head down.

"Honey," Mama commented on the thin smile that was clearly forced. He also wiped his tears.

"How's Papa.?" Celina could not hide her anxiety.

"Papa's fine, just a birth."

"But you can't go in because Papa has to rest."

Mama embraces Celina's shoulders, pulling her daughter in a cuddle.

Her heart was certainly broken to see her husband living the rest of his life that would not be long.

Mama tries hard in front of Celina, reluctant to show the fragility of her heart that will be left by her beloved husband.

20 Years of building a household with Adiguna, too many beautiful things that will only become memories.

"But Papa has never been like this before Mah."

Celina was hard to believe what Mama said. All this time, he had never seen the exhausted Papa until he was unconscious.

"Why is no further examination carried out.? Celin's afraid of Papa,,,

"Dear, the doctor here has handled your father well." Mama cut off Celina's speech. He naturally did not want to make Celina think hard about what had really happened.

"Your father is tired, these endings also often sleep at night." Said again.

A doctor approached them, but Mama immediately stood in front of the doctor by turning her back to Celina so that Celina would not see what she was going to tell the doctor.

"Sorry doc, let's talk somewhere else.".Said Mama lirih.

The doctor seemed to understand, because he had previously been told.

"Vano, Celina, Mama has to go for a while. Please take care of Papa," Pamitnya before leaving.

Celina and Vano nodded.

"Why does Mama's attitude look weird.?" Celina murmured to Vano. He continued to look at the departure of the mother with the doctor who had earlier undo his intention to speak.

"What's so weird.?" Vano sat down beside Celina. Stare fixed on his wife's face with a flogging feeling. She did not have the heart to cover up Papa Adiguna's illness on Celina, but did not dare to tell her the truth in the midst of Celina's pregnant condition.

"It's like something's covered up." Celina.

He could feel the strange gurgle of his mother.

Mama keeps saying that Papa Adiguna is fine, but the look in her eyes can't lie.

If it was alright, there was no way his eyes would be so broken.

"That's just your feeling."

"You have to be sure that Papa's okay." Vano. But he himself was not sure of it. But that was all she could do to make Celina calm down.
