Zeno had never thought of what Kiba thought, even the matter regarding Ice Sword came from his grandfather's wife, or arguably his grandmother, Zeno never knew about it at all. That was because, Kiba found out about it through Fang Yoshi's explanation when Zeno himself was fainting.
What surprised Zeno was about the theory that Kiba had made, which his grandmother came from the Arctic continent itself.
