Our High School's
Loss of Arka

*One year ago*

Today is the thirtyth day since Daffin was in rehab. When the police ambushed Benny's men, he was making a delivery. Unfortunately, when he was about to escape, he was pushed to fall and finally caught.

But with determination and a strong desire to be able to escape the drugs, Daffin finally followed all the treatment he had to receive.

Every time Daffin sakaw and rebel asked to be given medicine, there will be five officers who always block the body of Daffin who reacts violently.

Just like today, Daffin had to fight against his will for two hours. Many officers felt pity when they saw Daffin who was roaring and screaming in pain.

Daffin sakaw for the umpteenth time in his first month in that place. His two eyes were unfocused and kept turning, and his head felt like it had been hit by thousands of hammers.

Daffin screamed so loud that his voice deafened the whole person who was holding him. It took five men to hold Daffin's bare hands, feet, and body.

*current Time*

Aya listened to Daffin's story seriously. Actually he did not mind if Daffin did not want to tell it, because it was a personal matter. But for the man, sharing his grief with someone he likes is not a problem. He even continued his story again to the most sensitive part.

He said that part of his youth life was full of darkness. He lived the moments where he should still hang out with his peers, precisely by enduring pain in a small and stuffy room. Unfortunately, no family ever visited him while he was there, other than his grandmother.

Both of Daffin's parents divorced while he was still sitting on the bench. That's what made him run into the world of drugs to hide his sadness. After that his mother married again with a single widower who then he considered as his brother, Arka.

But Daffin still chose to live with his grandmother. That's why Arka looks more taken care of while he looks like a child who is too free and separated from parental supervision, although in fact it is not the case.

“Terus, why can you stay with Arka now?”

“Because I think he's changed”

“Change?” ask Aya wonder.

Daffin continued his story. That Arka used to do similar things. He once put a drug in a Daffin bag. The drug is not illegal but is quite prohibited for minors. And he did it on purpose so that Daffin was returned to rehab. At that time he did not like Daffin because the mother who was more often pay attention to him than Arka.

“Terus?”

Daffin looked towards the window and it turned out that the sky had turned dark.

“Lanjutin sometime!” daffin said, turning Aya's shoulder so she could look at the window.

“Hish..” grumbled Aya.

Daffin decides to take Aya home. He couldn't possibly have told her to stay at his house and stir up new rumors.

Arka did not appear in school even after days since the rumor was posted in the school's mading.

Even when Daffin looks for her at home, Arka is also invisible. His phone is also inactive. Daffin tried to find it in Benny's cafe but also did not get any results.

“Do you know where they are?” ask Daffin from behind the phone.

Unfortunately they only saw him from afar and did not find out more about where they were taking Arka.

Only one name is possible for Daffin to ask. He rushed to find the man by calling him.

“Lo where? Meet me at the Benny” cafe

Daffin had arrived at the cafe but he could not find the person he wanted to meet. When he tried to contact her again, suddenly the person came to surprise her from behind.

“Hai, miss me huh?”

Miss was already standing in front of him with some changes to her. He cut his hair short. He also no longer wears the usual piercing earrings hanging on his right ear. Even more surprising to Daffin, Miss no longer wears her uniform skirt on her knees. Now he even wears his uniform skirt with sweatpants behind it because their school skirt is too short. Daffin pecked for a moment when he saw the super spectacular change.

“Fin, how are you? Admired huh?” ask the lady with a laugh.

“Oh, passable” Daffin replied.

“What's up? Said he wanted to say something about Arka?”

Daffin also told all he knew about Arka to Miss. There were indeed some parts that involved Miss in it, but Daffin only focused on finding the whereabouts of Arka back then.

“I don't know for sure, Fin. But if I'm not wrong, Arka never told me about Debt” said Miss seriously.

“Debt? You mean Arka has a debt?”

“He just said he had to work again, pay the debt he said. So he asked for more work with Benny” he explained.

Daffin wondered if Benny knew about Arka's whereabouts. Was he involved with those people in black. He also asked Miss to tell him if she found anything about Arka, whatever it was, and Miss agreed to it.

Although Daffin was a little distrustful of Miss's ability, let alone with her changes that were somehow with what purpose, but for now she was only Daffin's only hope to find the Ark.

Although rumors about Aya and Arka were still spread and became the subject of conversation, Aya ventured to go back to school. Of course he was still nervous and trembling as he passed through the corridor towards his class. All the children's views were on him. Not to mention their mouths that seemed not to be fitted with filters but loudspeakers. They were gossiping right in front of Aya without any guilt at all.

But Aya tried to ignore that. He tried his stupid time and focused on his school alone. But in reality his brain could not focus at all into the lesson. Aya's mind was not in the classroom, but rather floated in search of Arka's whereabouts. No admission is also impossible, as he and Daffin are under the supervision of their homeroom teacher.

Her stress level increased when her homeroom teacher called her to the teacher's room to be interrogated about her photo. And of course he had trouble answering because it would spread everywhere, including the matter of drugs.

Aya did not want Daffin more dragged, until finally he was forced to lie that it was just an edit of Arka because he was jealous of his closeness with Daffin. Aya knew the reason was not strong enough, but at least her homeroom teacher could not confirm Aya's answer to Arka as long as she had not been found.

There is little hope Aya so that the rumors will soon subside so that when Arka returns, he can ask Daffin to make him confess according to the answer that Aya made.
