Most new Elves could absorb earth energy and radiate magic energy when they were adults or had experienced events that racked up emotions.
Emotions such as sadness, disappointment, heartbreak or fear of life and death problems are very extreme.
Not all Elves could absorb earth energy and make it magic energy, let alone in the case of Half Elves.
Just this time Valir discovered there was a Half Elf who could emit magic energy and that person was Jean in front of him.
Even though the magic energy was low, it was still capable of emitting magic energy which revealed that if he belonged to the person with Elf blood on his body meant that he had a good talent or talent in terms of magic.
In fact not many Half Elves were born, because basically Elves were forbidden to marry other races besides the Elf race, whether it was humans, Vampires, demons or others.
There were only a few cases of infractions where Elves married other races and bore Half Elf descendants, but normally Half Elves born could not live long, before they matured they were already dead first.
Valir stored back the energy crystal stone behind his robe.
What Valir doesn't know, is that this isn't the first time Jean has used earth energy, when she was paralyzed and lured by Marco's group to catch Mrun's star beast.
When Mrun's wild beast approached the paralyzed Jean, Jean's emotions, fearing death, and her strong desire to live, allowed her to absorb the earth's energy, so that he was able to move his body and run into the crack in the wall of the ground.
It was a pity that the magic energy fluctuation that Jean emitted from the absorption of earth energy disappeared just like that, as she felt that she had survived when she made it out of the crack.
It's only natural that Valir doesn't know Jean's ability to help and takes her to Vedis' place.
When Jean regains consciousness, and travels back to the human city with Valir, the magic energy never appears again.
It was only then that the Energy reappeared, probably because Jean's emotions of sadness were so strong after losing her younger brother Juno. Jean does not realize that she has been emitting magic energy.
Jean suddenly turned around, she looked at Valir with puffy eyes but looked very serious filled with strong determination.
"I have to save my sister, do you know where the Vampire race is?" Jean asked Valir who seemed to understand things.
What Jean Ras Elves knew was that they had a long life, it was only natural that they had more memories of life, experience and information than humans.
"Vampire Ras? You want to go to their place? You better stop your intentions, Jean. With you alone, it is absolutely impossible to save Juno from the hands of the Vampire race. Even to reach the territory of the Vampire race alone you couldn't possibly, if alone." Valir advised Jean not to do anything harmful to her.
Jean looked down, she understood what Valir had said.
"You're right, I'm indeed just a weak woman, but I won't give up just because of that. I will do everything I can to save Juno and also take revenge on those who have hurt me."
Valir looks into Jean's red eyes, which are now full of revenge and determined to save his sister at any cost.
Such a strong determination reminds Valir with his friend Vin aka Jean's father. Once a decision is made, Vin with his strong determination and stubbornness, will not change course even if it is death-defying.
Valir saw the same thing with Jean.
"Haaaah, really father and son are the same." Valir said with a sigh.
Jean's eyes widened at Valir's words, he asked,
" You want to help me? Why do you want to help me who is only a weak woman, I always trouble you and can't repay your good deeds, can you explain why you want to help me?"
Jean felt bad for Valir who was very good to her.
"No excuses, I just want to help you. Is it wrong to want to help others?" Valir asked back to make Jean speechless.
After some quiet time, Valir added.
"Don't think about it because I have some information for you, Jean, you might be surprised, but you should know this." Valir addressed another more serious topic.
"What do you want to tell me, just tell me." Jean was curious.
"You must only know if your father's Ethan isn't, he actually has another name." Valir begins to uncover the truth.
Jean nods her head, confirming that her father is Ethan.
"Your father has another name, Vin, if you ask me how I know, because I'm your father's friend." Valir.
"The vin? So you're a friend of my father's, why don't I ever know if my father was friends with an Elf like you?" Jean tilts her head, she finds no memory of her father ever being friends with an Elf.
"Maybe because your father never told you about his friendship with me." Valir walked over to Jean.
"why is my father hiding that?" Jean was very curious about it.
As their distance grew narrower, Valir could see Jean's now pale face with bluish lips, her eyes were red, and there were even tears on Jean's cheeks.
Valir took a handkerchief in his pocket and wiped the tears on Jean's face.
Jean's eyes widened, she retreated, "You don't have to do that." Jean rubbed her face with her sleeves, but instead of dry, Jean's entire face became all wet because her clothes were still wet from the rain.
Jean's face flushed red from her silly actions.
"You'd better get changed first, and then I'll tell you about your father later." Valir then walks towards the door, he comes out not forgetting to close the door letting Jean change clothes.
The rain outside had stopped, Valir walked around while watching the small, dilapidated hut Jean lived in.
When seen, Valir's clothes had no sign of wetness at all when he was also rained like Jean, but his clothes remained dry.
It was the effect of the robe he was wearing, the robe had a rain-proof effect.
Jean inside the house was looking for a change of clothes with her face flushed to the root of her ear also flushed in embarrassment.
After Jean got a change of clothes, her old clothes were thin and looked very old fashioned, but she could not choose because she was also cold because she was wearing wet clothes for too long.
