The door of the principal's room was pushed from outside. A few seconds later, Myria appeared from behind the old brown object. He said hello, then entered after being welcomed.
Myria's two eyes briefly looked around and said excuse me to two people who were thought to be the principal's guests. Then, he approached the principal. “Sorry, Sir. Father call me?”
“Iya. Your name is Myria.”
Myria nodded. “True, Sir.”
The old man dressed in batik smiled. The Headmaster asked Myria to sit on the sofa with the two guests.
“Begini, Myria,” said the principal with a calm and friendly gesture. His two eyes gave a shady look so that an aura of patience emerged. “This morning Mr. Guest's arrival. Yes, these she-sheep. Mr. Tirta and Mr. Daniel are called.” The Headmaster's hand was directed at the two men in front of him.
Myria looked at the guests. He smiled while nodding. The girl forgot that she had met Mr. Tirta and his assistant before this time.
Mr. Tirta who had been waiting for a reply was no less friendly. He smiled and extended his hand to shake his hand. However, Myria first cupped her hands in the chest and managed to make Mr. Tirta back in his sitting position.
“Oh, sorry, Sir. You and our students are not mahrams. Girls of Myria's age must have gotten along with puberty.”
Again Myria confirmed the words of the Headmaster by nodding.
Mr. Tirta doesn't mind. He has not yet said what he wants to come to school. Just saying there was a need was so important that it begged the principal to be reunited with the girl named Myria. The Headmaster agreed, but on the condition of remaining in his room.
“Please speak, Mr. Tirta, about your needs. I hope my presence here does not bother you.”
“Oh, it's okay, Sir.”
The two grown men were chatting. Myria was only partially a listener with a tense feeling. In the girl's mind, what exactly is there to meet a guest like Mr. Tirta.
“Nak.”
The call from Mr. Tirta broke Myria's daydream. “Oh, i–iya, Sir. I.”
Smile again embroidered on Mr. Tirta's lips. The man in black took a breath for a moment. “Do you remember me? We met in the hospital two weeks ago. At that time, you just finished buying food.”
As she fell silent, Myria repeated the memory in her head while in the hospital. The girl frowned so seriously as to remember. “Oh, The master I hit it with, yes?”
“True.”
“Ah, I'm sorry, Sir. I was completely unintentional at the time. I was in a hurry to leave the patient in the park. So less careful. Do I need compensation? I'm ready because it's wrong.”
“Not-not, Nak.” Seeing Myria worried, Mr. Tirta felt pity. The man straightened out immediately. “I'm here because I want to know you.”
The Headmaster was somewhat shocked by Mr. Tirta's words. So was Myria who was suddenly scared.
“Master, something is wrong with your words.” Daniel, who noticed two people there, whispered to his boss.
Myria's lips clenched. He hesitated to answer. Mr. Tirta remained a stranger who suddenly came asking for privacy for Myria. And so, he was vigilant.
Myria's response was awaited, but there was no answer. Mr. Tirta turns to the principal for help.
“Myria, just answer. Mr. who will be responsible if there is anything.” The Headmaster intervened. He said slowly so that Myria would melt down and feel safe.
With hesitation, Myria nodded. “Iya, Sir. The mother was Kinara Iswari, and the people called Kinar's mother. And my last name is also taken from him.”
Mr. Tirta nodded once, then continued the question. “If your father, who?”
Hearing the word ‘ayah’ Myria's heart drizzles. All this time he had no idea where the figure of the man that father should be called was. The mother never told me the slightest bit about the figure and instead said her father had long since died.
“Dad ...”
“Ya, your father.”
“I was born only with Mom, Sir. So I don't know who my father is. Mom says Dad left and may have died long ago so there's no hope back at us.” Myria's eyes began to tear. I don't think he can talk about parents. Now, he lives alone without a biological family and there is only a family from the Space side.
“Didn't your mother tell you your father's name?”
The headband was given Myria in response. She wiped the water at the corner of her eye with her fingertips. “Mom always cried when I asked about Dad. He was sad and made me feel bad. But, when I was in school and could read, I knew the data on my father's Family Card name was Tirta Mandala.”
Mr. Tirta's heart is beating violently. He wanted to say firmly to Myria that he was the figure of the father. However, Mr. Tirta realized it would not be that easy to talk about serious problems.
Crying unable to be held back, Myria sobbed in front of the three adult men. She has long missed her father and often feels jealous of friends who have a whole family. Sometimes, when faith comes down and forgets to be grateful, Myria wants to blame fate. He does not have a complete parent and lives a difficult life so often receive insults or insults.
Everyone fell silent and looked pityfully at Myria. No one can give a hug because it is certain that the girl will refuse. The Headmaster could only hand out a tissue and give an encouraging sentence as proof that he cared.
After Myria calmed down, Mr. Tirta bowed to get closer to Myria. The girl retreated due to reflexes.
“Do not be afraid, Son. I won't harm you. Are you willing to do a DNA test with me?”
Myria's cries turned startling. No exception to the Headmaster who was there. The man who owns the room interrupts, “I mean, Mister?”
Before replying, Mr. Tirta took a pretty strong breath. He sat facing the principal completely. “I'm looking for my wife, sir. Her name was the same as Myria's mother. And my name is also Tirta Mandala, whether this is just a coincidence or not, but I am sure Myria is my daughter.”
The explanation of Mr. Tirta successfully invited the surprise of the Headmaster and Mryia. However, the girl did not want to be rash because it could be that many names have something in common.
“I tell you more fully, Sir.” Mr. Tirta said again. “Begini, I was married to Kinara when I was in college. Due to the limited cost, I could only marry her religiously first. But, because being married moreover will have children takes a lot of cost, I went to work out of town when Kinara was pregnant.”
The headmaster could only hear Mr. Tirta's description. His shock was endless.
“But unfortunately ...” There was a short pause before Mr. Tirta continued. He moved his gaze to Myria who was allegedly his daughter. “But misfortune, when I traveled outside the city, I had a severe accident to amnesia several years.”
