Brian woke up when the sun was really shining brightly. Alias, he woke up late because all night could not sleep due to the thought of the arrival of his cousin's sister which would certainly cause problems for peace of heart and mind.
He was still lying on the bed when the door of his room was knocked by someone from outside. Lazily, he spoke. "Attent."
Without a second thought, Brian got out of bed and walked up to the door to open the door. He forgot that he had to use a wheelchair because he was running a charade as a paralyzed man. And ... can be sure, if he also forgot to wear a black mask to cover his face.
As a result, when he opened the door of the room, he got a startled shout from the person in front of the door of the room.
"Aaa .. Who are you?!" kania asked while shouting loudly because she was very surprised by the person in front of her at this moment.
How could Kania not feel shocked at this moment? The man in front of her had never seen her before. And also, not one bit he thought that it was Brian. Because he knows, Brian is paralyzed and has a deformed face that Brian always hides behind a black mask. While the man in front of Kania at this time, was a very handsome man. Brian who got the shout also felt shocked by what had just happened. He was silent without knowing what to do now.
"Who are you? Why are you in my husband's room? What did you do to Brian? Where is he?" Kania showered Brian with questions that sounded anxious.
That's when Brian realized what he had to do now. He pulled Kania's hand to bring her into the room. Kania, who had no idea it was going to happen, could not help but keep her body from following what Brian had done to her.
"Hey let me go! Help u! Help! ... Brian please! .... "
Kania screams loudly while trying to fight what Brian did to her. Quickly, Brian covered Kania with one hand while the other kept Kania in his hand.
Brian closed the door. Then, lock the door quickly. Then, he pulls Kania's hand, and drops Kania's body on the bed. Next, he followed Kania's body lying on the bed.
Kania yelled again when Brian's hand no longer covered his mouth.
"Please ... Brian's! Helpme! Where are you?" asked Kania in a sad tone.
"Take me off! Who are you, huh? Don't you know I'm somebody's wife?" Kania spoke in a sad tone that sounded very desperate. He wanted to fight, but this man was too strong for him to fight.
"Brian! Where are you?" asked Kania again to keep trying to fight even though he knew, it would not work.
"I'm here." Brian said with a loving and compassionate look at Kania.
"Shut up and listen to what I want to tell you."
"No. You're not Brian. You .... "
"Kania, I'm Brian. The man who just married you a few days ago."
"Take me off! Don't you lie to me!" Kania regained her emotions and tried to fight back.
"I'll let you go but please don't scream. And, listen to what I want to talk about."
Brian loosened the body of Kania which he had held by hand since earlier. Then he got out of bed and sat down beside the bed. While Kania, rushed up and away from the bed.
"I'm Brian."
"Don't lie. Where could you be Brian. Isn't Brian .... "
"Disfoul! Paralyzed and ugly. Is that what you want to tell me?" Brian spoke while staring at Kania.
"Are you not able to listen to me speak in the same tone before?"
"There's no way you're Brian. How can a person who has been reported as paralyzed and disfigured before look as good as you?"
"The reason is there is only one Kania. The skit. Pretending to be paralyzed and ugly, in order to achieve a mission and become a winner. I'm sure you understand."
Hearing the words Brian spoke made Kania feel amused as well as sick in her heart. He who initially believed strongly and sympathized with Brian, now must feel a sense of disappointment in what he knows now.
Kania smiled sorely. Smile on the lips, but pain in the heart. Like a wound that does not bleed, but the pain must be felt.
Brian was confused by the smile Kania showed. That sad smile made his heart full of question marks so that he could not cover up the curiosity that was in his heart anymore.
"Why are you smiling, Kania? Don't you believe what I just said? Or, don't you understand what I mean?"
"No. I don't smile because I don't understand or don't believe what you're saying, Brian. But, I smiled because I understood very well what you said."
"What kind of people are you. I really don't understand all of you. Can your life not be separated from theatrics and pretenses? Can't you live with a sincere and honest heart?"
Kania looks so sad and disappointed now. It could be Brian felt from the tone of speech that Kania spoke just now. The disappointment made Brian feel guilty. He actually did not intend to make Kania disappointed with what he wanted to convey earlier. It's just that, the arrogant nature as a young master that he can not cover even though his heart does not want the nature to exist.
While Brian was busy thinking of other reasons for him to tell Kania, Kania was desperately holding back tears from falling because her heart was too disappointed by the lies Brian had pointed out. He should be happy now, when he knows that the husband who was forced to marry him, not a disabled person as rumored.
But no, the problem is not in being happy because of reality. Instead, get hurt and disappointed at a lie. He feels played. Really feel played by everyone. Though he strongly believed what he had seen before and tried to accept with a spacious chest and a sincere heart.
'O Allah, what are all those whom You have met with me, all of them are two-faced and full of charades? Can't You meet me with a truly sincere human being living a life of honesty to be my friend in this world?' Kania spoke inwardly while taking a deep breath.
