Chapters 19. Final Exams

At the moment all students have returned to school. Two more days of final exams will be conducted.

Since returning from school tours, Keenan seemed to start staying away from Bie again.

Dimas and Bie get into class. He asked all his friends to hear what he was going to say.

"Good morning, everybody. Please take a minute, the class president will talk" said Bie.

"Good morning everyone, because we are going to take the final exam, I as the class leader asked all my friends to be able to work together so that the final exam can run smoothly. For those who are still constrained in the lesson can ask me or Bie. We will work together to get this class the best grades. One more thing, we will have a farewell party, for that we will be meeting for the election of the chairman of the farewell event. Each class will be asked four people as assistance later. Anyone willing as a committee can contact me. So many announcements from me as class president. Thank you." Thank you."

Bie and Dimas returned to the bench where he was sitting. Bie smiles at Cath as he passes by.

Although Cath never returned the smile she gave but Bie never tired of doing it.

Dimas and Bie decide to study together to take this final exam. Every time he went home from school, Bie and Dimas stopped by the library until the afternoon. In the afternoon, Bie works.

"Bie, you better stop working."

"Why stop, Dim?"

"Lo looked really tired when he came home from work. Sorry, Bie. I hope you won't be offended by my words."

"What do you want to say, anyway?"

"Gue will give you as much money as Lo's salary. So Lo can stop working, later after graduation Lo can continue his work."

Bie laughed at Dimas' words. He took Dimas' hand and held it.

"Listen to me Dimas. I am so grateful and so lucky to have a best friend Lo. I don't know what good my parents did so I could meet a friend like Lo. I appreciate your good intentions. I'm not offended by Lo's words because I know everything you do is for my own good. But I can't accept Lo's kindness anymore. I owe too much. I can't pay it back."

"Gue didn't expect a reply. I'm doing all of that."

"Gue tau, Dim. Lo sincere, but I feel bad. Keep helping me. When can I do something for you?"

"Lo can repay everything with just one action."

"What is it ...."

"Be my best friend. Whatever happens, never change."

"Without Lo asking me to be Lo's best friend, I'm sure" said Bie with a sweet smile.

Today the final exam begins. The tense faces of all the students.

Before the exam began, Dimas advanced to the class. It will give a little direction.

"No, Dim. I think it's enough."

"Okay, we'll start the exam in ten minutes. If anyone does not understand the lesson, there is still time to ask Bie or me. Thank you." Thank you."

Dimas and Bie returned to the bench where he was sitting. Shortly enter the teacher to give a question of the exam. All are silent when answering questions that exist as a matter of the test given.

The exam lasts one week. It's the last day of the exam. Everyone is happy to finally get through the exam well.

As per the agreement the farewell party will be held ten days after the final exam.

Dimas and Bie as the event organizers seem to be getting busy. From looking for a place, looking for catering, and preparing event arrangements.

Bie walked hastily towards the art room. His friends were rehearsing for a performance on farewell night.

When going to class, Bie cross paths with Keenan. Bie's steps have stopped and so has Keenan.

"What's up, Bie" said Keenan.

"Well," replied Bie quietly.

"In the meantime we'll graduate, maybe the less we meet. I want to talk, Bie. When do you have time?" ask Keenan.

"What else are you going to talk about, Keen. I don't think there's anything else we need to talk about."

"Many, Bie. So much I want to tell you."

"But, Keen. I think you better keep what you want to say. Like you said, we might rarely meet."

"Because we'll rarely meet that's why I want to talk. I want you to know everything I feel. The night of the farewell party, I hope you can spare a little of your time. I promise I won't bother you again after that."

"Alright, Keen. I'm trying. I'm going in first. The longer we stand here the more gossip." Bie enters the art room leaving Keen still fixated on staring at Bie's departure.

Keen took a deep breath as Bie's body had disappeared into the art room.

Wanting her is hard to forget, loving her is hard to regret, losing her is hard to accept, but even with all the pain I feel, letting go is the most painful. How can I step up, when I still love you. I've tried, but there's nothing like you and the way you love me is hard to replace, and all the memories of being with you for just a moment still keep on being reflected in these eyes.
