Love, Maybe

Love, Maybe
Chapter 35's

...-...

The thing Winny misses most from the residence Mark residence in addition to the view of the garden with the green and flowers that spoil the eyes is the cuisine of Mama Mark is very delicious and always appetizing.

Not to mention all the materials used also come from a small garden that is behind the house. It is certain that anyone will go home with a healthy and fat body after visiting from this residence. Just look at Mark, if not for his profession as a surgeon who is very draining of time and energy, maybe the young man is also thick now.

“Wah, iga soup!” exclaimed Mark enthusiastically as soon as Mama put a large pot of freshly cooked rib soup in the middle of the dining table. Mark hurriedly lifted his bowl and was about to spoon the soup when Mama suddenly clapped her hands.

“Sabar dong's. Let Winny take it first,” Mama said as she pushed Mark's hand away. Ignoring Mark who was looking at her with pursed lips, Mama took Winny's bowl and poured the rib soup until it was half filled.

“Actually whose Mama's son the hell? Me or Winny?" mark's protest.

“Children who rarely go home can still be considered a child?” reply Mama lightly while handing back the white ceramic bowl in her hand to Winny. “Eat a lot yes,” Mama said with a sweet smile to Winny, making Mark snort annoyed to see her. Winny couldn't help but laugh at Mark's change in expression because her mother treated Winny inversely with her.

“You heard, Win. Mom's words were exactly what you said at the restaurant this morning. Don't-don't you two conspire to nag – aw!” Mark stopped mumbling as Mama suddenly floated a wooden spoon into his head.

“Don't blame Winny, you really need to be emailed! It's fast eating and quiet,” said Mama.

“Mama to be honest, I'm a foster child, right?” mark asked while rubbing his head that was hit by a wooden spoon.

“Listen yes. If you have to lift a child, Mama will definitely choose a better one,” Mama said while glancing at Mark annoyed.

“Wait first. Mama's son where's that no good? I'm handsome and smart. Don't forget I'm a doctor, Ma. Doctor!” Mark still chattered not accept.

“Iya, yes, it's up to you, Doctor Mark.” Reply to Mama while shaking her hand.

“Mama!” Mark placed his spoon and leaned his back against the back of the chair dramatically.

Winny smiled broadly at the debate between the mother and the child. For a long time, he loved this family. The family is simple and harmonious, and most importantly the people are very warm and friendly. Mark's cheerful and joking nature certainly came down from his parents. Although Mark is now alone with his mother since the departure of his father eight years ago, but Mark and his mother love each other and live life happily like no shortage of anything. And Winny likes to be in their midst, because she has neither, neither warm family nor people who love each other.

When Mark left the table to go to the toilet, Mama turned to Winny who had just been silent while stirring the soup in her bowl. The girl's daydream just collapsed when Mama reached out her hand to add a few spoons of soup into Winny's bowl until it was almost fully filled. Winny turned to Mama Mark who was looking at her with a worried look.

“Eat a lot. Why is your body so thin now?” ask Mama. Winny was just about to open her mouth to answer, but immediately fell silent when she heard what Mama said next.

“Not so long ago you just gave birth?”

...***...

It had been thirty minutes since Jane boarded and entered Aiden's room. There were no signs that the girl would be out of there.

Felix sat in the living room and occasionally looked up at the stairs. Jane was going to lock herself up in Aiden's room after being there for hours before Kaylee and Daniel arrived.

“Jane, I'm sorry. I really didn't mean to offend you.” Felix began to retrain his sentence. “Even if you can't cook, but I will never regret choosing you to be my wife. So–”

Bruk!

Felix speechless. He frowned and tried to sharpen his hearing. What was that suho? It seemed like the voice was coming from Aiden's room. Curious, Felix grabbed the knob of the room door and turned it around.

“Jane? I heard the sound of–” Felix did not continue his sentence.

"Jane!" That second also the young man immediately ran in because he saw Jane who had been lying on the floor.

“Why did you tell your mama?” ask Winny. At the moment he and Mark are spending time sitting relaxed on a wooden bench in the back garden. His gaze was directed at the millions of stars scattered in the night sky of Bogor city.

Mark who was also looking up at the sky, now turned to look at the figure of Winny who was sitting on while folding his legs on the bench next to him. For a split second, Mark let his eyes be spoiled by the beautiful face of Winny he always admired, before then answering.

“You know, there is not a single thing I keep secret from my mother,” replied Mark slowly.

Quickly, Winny turned his head and looked at Mark with a disappointed expression clearly visible on his face. “But, Mark..”

“Why? Did Mama question you in a cynical tone? Or with a dislike? Don't you? You also know very well that my mama is not such a person.” interrupted Mark while looking back at Winny and smiling gently.

Winny felt annoyed that Mark could still smile as he said so. “You meddled too much.”

“Then, who would interfere in your life affairs if not me, Win,” Mark said as he looked back at the sky.

Winny breathed a rough breath because Mark was right. Who else would bother taking care of his life if not this young man. He had no one but Mark.

“You brought me to your house as soon as I returned to Jakarta,” Winny said as she leaned her head on Mark's sturdy shoulder, “Then, what will you do next? Found me with him?”

Mark sighed softly. Not a word came out from the young man's lips, and the atmosphere turned silent. Winny then hugged Mark's arm tightly.

“I... don't want to meet him.” said Winny slowly.
