New Madam Candidate

The thought of Raya made Karan unable to concentrate for the rest of his day. He also decided to go home. After all, his work was not so urgent that it required him to overtime the entire night. Karan needs a break tonight because he has a fun agenda to do. Karan will meet with Raya again, more precisely they will be dating.

Yeah, dating in that guy's perspective.

“Pak, your dinner is ready,” cetus Anna in front of Karan's room.

From inside the room, Karan replied, “Alright, I'll be down soon.”

Anna simply passed from that place without much talking. Bizarrely. Tonight was a strange night for Anna. During his three years working at the house, Karan never asked to be prepared for dinner. Maybe breakfast was once, that was rare. Karan is a busy businessman. His daily life is spent in the office and out of town. Had Karan gone home, the man would have only slept.

Anna wonders why Karan built a house this big if he rarely lived here. Moreover, Karan also prepared a large room that was almost the same size as the room now occupied by Karan. Luxurious rooms with no occupants that must be cleaned daily by the servants. It was as if the room was being prepared for someone who would somehow come.

“Taste good, Anna, thank you,” Karan said after eating his dinner.

Anna's hand, which was happy to pour water into Karan's glass, stopped suddenly. His head turned, looking at the master with a surprised look. Weird right? Karan says thank you to her? Oh come! The man is Karan Reviano, the only son of the conglomerate who will inherit the entire company owned by his family.

Maybe in front of others Karan will seem friendly and kind, but to Anna and the rest of the workers in the house, he said, Karan is not like a creepy employer who does not hesitate to do anything so that his wishes are achieved.

Now, that horrible man thanked her? Is Anna hallucinating?

“Oh, yes, is the room ready, Anna?” Karan spoke while cleaning the corners of his lips with a napkin.

Anna nodded. He knew which room Karan was referring to. That large, uninhabited room. “Already Sir. I also clean it every day as ordered by Mr.”

“Good. You should pay close attention to that room. If there's less furniture, you can ask Ian. He'll give you as much as you need for that room.”

“Good Sir. But, are any guests going to use that room, sir?” anna asked very curious. Karan's parents alone were never allowed to occupy that room. Who is the most important person to wear it?

With a deep voice Karan spoke again. “Not a guest, but my wife. She will wear that room after we get married another month.”

Both Anna's eyes were wide. Since when did Karan have a wife? Then the middle-aged woman gasped. Karan is a girl whose picture is displayed in Karan's room. Anna had mistakenly thought that the girl was Karan's sister because of her young photo. It was unexpected that the girl turned out to be the mistress who was about to come to this house.

“Good Sir,” Reply Anna again. “Do I have to move your items to that room?”

Karan shook his head. “No need. We will use separate rooms.”

The man stood up from his chair. When he left the dining room, he told the housekeeper again. “My wife is Raya Drisana. You must have seen it on TV. You know ‘kan he really likes luxury, so when he's here, treat him well. Give her whatever she wants. And you don't need permission to use the monthly money if he wants any food. Do you understand, Anna?”

Once again Anna nodded and replied, “Iya Sir. I understand.”

As soon as Karan moves upstairs, Anna is just glued to her place. He was shocked to hear the name Raya Drisana popped from Karan's lips. Anna did not know the woman directly, but she often saw her on television. The woman is a super famous model who is rumored to be engaged and will get married in a matter of days.

Why does Karan call her a wife? Moreover, the man said he would marry Raya in a month. Is Karan going to take Raya from her future husband?

Flashbacks

Because his math tests are always perfect, Karan has a nickname, Little Einstein. It is not known who first pinned the nickname. But, whoever it is Karan needs to thank his blessing the young man is getting a lot of attention.

“Oh yes?” The girl beside Karan responded. “It turns out you really are Einstein yes.”

The girl blurted out the same sentence as the other students, but Karan felt that there was a stranger. His voice or perhaps his response. I don't know. Karan was so curious that he ran to the left and looked at the girl where he too was looking right at her, with eyes that exuded an enthusiastic expression.

“You are not of this class?” karan asked because this was the first time he had seen the girl in his class. There are nine classes in Class 10. Karan had met some of his friends, but he did not remember meeting the girl.

“True, I'm from class 10-5. I'm here because I want to see you.” While showing her a neat row of white teeth, the girl smiled at Karan.

“Why?” sahut Karan with a suspicious look.

“Because I didn't pass the daily replay yesterday, so I was asked by my teacher to meet you, Little Einstein.”

“You pass or not a daily replay, it's none of my business. Why should I care about that?” reply Karan with ketus.

There was a disappointment tucked in his heart when he heard the girl's goal of meeting him. It was because of mathematics. Karan was tired of hearing it. Almost all of the students approached Karan blatantly, but none of them were truly sincere friends with Karan. That's what made Karan upset to hear the girl's words.

“It ... I mean— hey!”

The girl had not yet spoken, Karan had already left the classroom. He walked to the basketball court locker room to change into sports clothes. Before he entered, the girl touched his hand.

“Listen to it, huh!” The girl's breath was puffing. It seems he ran after Karan all the way there. “I didn't say anything ‘kan earlier? Teacher just asked me to meet, doesn't she ask me to make you care about my grades ‘ right? I just wanted to say that I did my job. That's it, so don't get me wrong!” The girl explained it with an emotional face.

Karan was silent, not because he was fixated on hearing the girl's words, but because of the girl's touch to his hand. Suddenly his heart was beating. No one dared to touch her hand, yet this girl instead held it tightly.

“You've met me. So, your task is done,” Karan said as he brushed off the girl's hand and walked into the dressing room. There was something strange about him today and it seemed that it was because of the girl. Karan can't get too close to her.

Unfortunately, Karan's desire is inversely proportional to what happens. Every girl gets a bad grade, their math teacher must have told her to meet Karan, which makes her want to follow Karan almost every day. In fact, Karan's classmates mistakenly think that the girl is Karan's lover.

“Hey Kingdom Drisana!” call Karan with kesar as the girl follows him to the toilet. “Do you want to enter the male toilet?”

The girl flinched. He looked up and saw the male emblem on the toilet door. “I-it ..” He was silent, unable to say anything in surprise.

Karan exhaled, then went into the toilet. Karan thought the girl named Raya would go from there and stop bothering him. However, when Karan came out of the toilet, he saw the girl standing at the door. Welcoming his arrival with sparkling eyes.

A long breath came out of Karan's mouth. The man gave up. He approached Raya and spoke to her. “Prepare your books and come to class 10-1 every time you go home from school. I'll make the teachers stop asking you to see me.”

Raya smiled happily. He knew what Karan meant. It means Karan will teach him mathematics. Because that is how the value of Raya will rise which makes Raya stop meeting Karan.

Last day, twice a week Karan had to teach the stupid Raya in her hard-earned math lesson. Initially Karan did it just to get rid of Raya. But once Raya's grades improved, Karan did not stop her learning.

Karan slowly liked Raya. Especially when he saw the girl smiling sweetly at him. Karan gets closer to Raya, until one day, Karan expresses his feelings for Raya.

Raya accepts Karan's feelings. However, when all Karan thought would be fine, Raya betrayed him and left him so cruelly.
