Third Meeting

There's no way Karan forgot that face. The face she always missed. Every look at it has made Karan's heart so pounding. That never changed since the beginning of their meeting while still sitting in High School, also at their meeting when Karan wanted to marry Raya. His body would never misunderstand. His heart can always act on the figure of the woman. The Drisana Kingdom that Karan so longed for his entire life. The ex-wife who was filled with regret when she let go.

It's the same now. Karan's heart was pounding. So tight may be Luca who is in his arms can hear clearly. Karan doesn't believe this. He did want to meet Raya, but he did not expect it to be this fast. Moreover, now Raya is in front of him, within a distance that can be reached by Karan. The problem is, Karan's legs can not be invited to work well together. Both are suddenly paralyzed for reasons that are difficult to move. It seemed that he was too shocked to see Raya there and did not know what to do.

Can he approach her? Can he meet Raya in person? Karan wondered in his heart. Maybe this was the opportunity given to him. Karan decided to approach her. But when his feet could just step again, suddenly a voice heard from someone from the side who suddenly stopped his footwork.

“Luca!” The voice of the man. Karan turned his head and saw Edgar approaching him. With a panicked face the man walked quickly over to the son. When he arrived, he immediately touched the boy's hand. “Luca, are you okay? Where the hell have you been? Daddy was really surprised to find you everywhere!”

Karan jerks. He realized what happened. Slowly he handed Luca to Edgar's sling and expressed his apology. “Sorry sir, I found Luca at a restaurant while I was having dinner. I'm supposed to bring Luca to you right away or just call you so you don't worry. Forgive me.”

Karan expressed his sincerity because he did wrong. Though he knew Luca was not accompanied by anyone there, meaning he was separated from his parents. As a father, Edgar must be worried about the condition of the child. But what did Karan do? Instead of returning Luca to Edgar or at least contacting the man to let him know that Luca was with him, Karan let Luca linger by his side. He really felt very guilty.

Seeing Karan's regret made Edgar unwell. “No Sir, that's not what I mean. I'm even grateful that Luca is with you. I've been looking for him everywhere and I'm afraid he's going through something terrible. Fortunately, you take good care of it. Thank you Sir. And forgive my son who has troubled and disturbed you all day.”

Karan shook his head. “No Sir, I'm really not bothered. I am happy to be able to play with Luca.” The man then remembered about Raya. He quickly said goodbye to Edgar. “Then, I'm permission to leave because I have other business.”

“Ya Sir, please. Once again thank you.”

Karan only replied with a smile. He didn't respond because his focus was elsewhere. Unfortunately when Karan turned his head towards the direction where he saw Raya, the woman was already not there. Karan tried to find it, ranging from down the lobby to go to several places, including the restaurant where he had eaten dinner. However, the result is nil. Wherever Karan searched inside the building, he could not find the figure of the woman he saw as the Kingdom.

Did he see wrong? Karan returned to his original question. Maybe he misidentified people. Or because his longing is big and so hot that he hallucinates. Karan roughshed his hair while sighing a long sigh. Its alright. Perhaps now he could not find the existence of Raya, but that did not mean Karan would never meet the woman again. After all, their meeting was in plain sight. Karan only took a few seconds until he could meet his ex-wife again.

After waiting for a long time for the day to quickly pass, the day Karan was waiting for arrived. She had prepared everything from her clothes to her appearance. Karan has also practiced speaking in front of a mirror for a full day. The goal is that when he meets Raya, he can express what is in his heart appropriately. The man also tried to regulate his emotions. He did not want the events of five years ago to happen again where Karan was wrapped in passionate emotions actually made a fatal decision.

Five years ago Karan made too many mistakes. He drove out the Kingdom who was pregnant with their child. Then just for the sake of luring the woman, Karan even got involved with journalists and formed a bad public opinion on Raya. Worst of all, Karan threatens Raya with a divorce and makes them lose their first child. There are so many bad things happening that Karan does not want them to happen again. That was why he had to prepare everything properly this time.

“Pak, are we leaving now?” ian asked Karan. The assistant felt deja vu was so looking at what Karan was doing now. It was like seeing Karan six years ago, when Karan was about to meet with Raya who was then a fiancee of another man. Karan is indeed very evil because of bad intentions because he wants to take Raya from his fiancee, but Karan remains a human who also feels afraid of something. The man was afraid of being unworthy when dealing with Raya. The fear is quite ridiculous because basically Karan is a figure worth getting any woman, especially when physical appearance and establishment as a determining factor.

Karan nodded his head. “Ya, let's go there.” For the last time Karan observed her look in the mirror before actually going to the place where Raya had a meeting event with her fans.

Karan's heart was pounding at that moment, especially when he had already entered the room. Actually it is not a special room, just a painting art gallery that is transformed into a fan meeting place. Because not carelessly fans can talk to Raya, so the quota is limited. Only 100 lucky fans were able to get their tickets. Karan was one of those lucky fans though he had to spend deep enough to get it. Who would have thought that Raya, who went on hiatus in the entertainment industry in Indonesia, turned out to be a top model in Milan. The woman also had set up a special school to publish on the new model.

Karan really doesn't know that information. He only knew that the Kingdom had been living in New York. Who would have thought the woman even longer lived in Milan. Though there was no news of Raya that Karan heard. Ah, errata. There may be, but Karan's the only one who never heard of it. During this time Karan was only busy taking care of the family business while arranging his broken heart. He is also busy missing Raya who actually looks successful in the land of people. That is the kind of person who has talent. No matter where he is dropped, he will find a way to get up.

Just like Karan who can still build his company after the big scandal of his marriage that horrendous one country. Also like Raya who was able to return to being a famous model. They found their own place. And it's worth being grateful for.

“Pak, Ibu Raya is already in front of the building. It looks like he will soon enter this room,” Ian chirped to tell Karan. He knew of a bodyguard he had placed outside the building. Actually he wanted the bodyguard to come inside, but Karan forbade it. The CEO did not want the wife's event to feel uncomfortable because of the presence of the bodyguard.

Karan took a sip of his saliva, feeling so nervous. “I'm ready,” cetususya while adjusting his breathing and heartbeat.

However, it was all in vain when the door of the painting room opened where a woman in a white dress stepped from the outside. The woman walked in confidently in front of her hundred pairs of fans' eyes as if she were sitting on a red carpet. With her gentle smile and beautiful face she waved to the right and to the left, greeting the fans who were already waiting for her kindly. This is the moment we have been waiting for. Karan reunites with his ex-wife, whose figure has never been forgotten in Karan's life.
