JUST MISS

JUST MISS
Chapters. 4

The sound of a motorbike no longer rang. I got off the bike immediately, when Alden had turned off the engine.

"Thank you's. Today you have helped me a lot." I thank Alden.

I took the helmet off my head and gave it to Alden. Aldenpun. But not speaking a bit.

"Lo be careful on the road. I go in first," I said again before finally entering the courtyard.

I turned around when Alden never answered me.

Is he still angry?

Never mind, I don't care. I left him alone on his dashing bike. I continued to step into the courtyard of the house, although this heart and body refused.

I stopped my steps in the middle of the yard, when Alden's gallant motorbike never let out a loud sound.

Is he still there?

Till when?

I was about to turn around, to send Alden home.

But, uh,

I was shocked when Alden stepped firmly before me into my house and stopped at the front door of the house.

He knocks on the door gently, while waiting for the master of the house.

I rushed towards Alden who was standing facing the broken white door.

"Lo what? Go home, I'm fine." I told Alden.

He didn't touch me, he knocked on the door gently.

"Udahlah Den, I gapapa. You can go home now." I said intending to dismiss Alden's attitude that I don't understand.

As I tried to push Alden's body away from the door, the middle-aged woman came out using a negligee.

"Tone, there's a guest who's not asked to come in anyway?" said my mama

I shook my head, indicating that he was not a guest.

"Tan I want to apologize. Nada's head was hit by a basketball the same time I was. I recklessly guarded Nada. So if Nada's head hurts again, auntie don't mistake him, but salahin I just." said Alden with a face slash and soft voice.

I could see both of his beads which were emitting disappointment at him. Why would he do this?

Mama looks at me like she said, right?

"Before aunt said thanks to you for taking care of Nada. When it comes to basketball, it's not your fault either. So this is the case, even if Nada's head hurts again the aunt will take him to check directly, without being scolded." explained my mother to Alden.

He nodded as if agreeing with my mother's words. A smile of relief was emanated from the look of his face that was originally worried to be relieved.

"Thank God" he said slowly.

"You're Alden, right?" ask my mom for him.

Alden nodded, saluting my mother.

"You wanna come in first, son?" bargain mama.

Alden shaking. "Directly say goodbye tan," he replied then say goodbye to go home.

Mama passed me a code to get me to drive Alden to the fence.

"If so I say yes ta," said Alden before stepping to go home.

Mama nodded. "Be careful on the road."

I drove Alden to the fence of the house, where he put his bike there.

Alden started riding his bike, and put a helmet on his head.

"Gue go home first, take care of yourself" Alden said as he turned on his motorbike.

I nodded, "Don't fight in the street." I remembered him.

Oh god!

Alden looked at me as I looked at him. A few moments we looked at.

This blood rippled, feeling the cold heat due to this unexpected event.

Alden laxed before finally running his bike away from my house.

I stared at his back long ago.

We just got to know, not too close. Why is his attitude as if we've been close for so long?

I don't want to abuse the feelings that are slowly beginning to emerge as a result of her sweet treatment.

Lord, take care of my heart.

ALDEN POV

I dry my hair using a small towel I take from the cupboard.

Today was exhausting.

I walked towards the nightstand, where my phone was on top. I picked it up, then quickly switched to opening the door that bounded between my cabin and the balcony.

I sat in the available seat on the balcony of my cabin.

The night wind blew, I who only wore a black shirt and training still felt cold.

I positioned my body as comfortable as possible on the chair, looking at the beautiful scenery at night.

The glittering lights illuminate the house complex, the moon is perfectly round, and the stars are scattered in the space.

Imagining it, I suddenly thought of Nada.

How's things?

Does his head still hurt?

What the hell is he doing?

Conscious Den, you must take care of yourself.

I shook my head strongly as my memories always gave rise to Nada's name and shadow.

But I'm curious.

What am I supposed to do?

I turned on my phone, saw the clock showing at 8 pm.

Is he asleep?

I'm just worried about the situation.

I immediately opened my chat app and searched for Nada's name.

I dialed the number right on the name of the Tone. I looked at her active history, and she hasn't slept.

What am I supposed to do?

I'm trying to type text, though,

"Good night, Tone."

I shook my head, then removed it and replaced it with

"Hi Nad, are you sleeping?"

I thought back to sending him a message. No, I have to change his words again,

"Where are you?"

Goody!

Perhaps this is what is commonly used for me at this time.

I pressed the send button and waited for a reply.

POV TONE

I lay on my bed, staring at the empty ceiling.

I was bored, but my mother told me to rest.

Suddenly I remembered Ella saying that Alden was angry with Rino when I fainted.

As of now, I wonder why Alden is angry at Rino?

"Aish, damn why you've been so sweet to me lately." I scolded when I imagined Alden's face.

Even though we were close for only 3 days, we only knew each other's names.

Why is he doing this?!

Drrtt....

My phone's vibrating. I woke up and took what I put on the nightstand.

I widened my eyes when I saw the name on my phone notification.

ALDEN PRAMUDYA

Waita!

Did he feel anything when I thought about it?

I opened the message Alden sent me,

"Where are you?"

Is he still worried about my situation?

"It's better."

I replied to Alden's message.

Not until 2 minutes, my phone vibrated again.

"Thank God,"

"Lo hasn't slept?"

"When I reply to your message, it's a sign that I haven't slept."

"Hehee, yes also 🤭😂."

"Well eat?"

My fingers are hard to move on the phone screen.

Why is he so attentive?!

"Udah."

I tried to be ordinary, so that I wouldn't hurt my own heart.

"***School tomorrow?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"Gue pick you up?"

"Not to."

"Haha okay, I'll see you tomorrow."

"Good night, Nada***."

I was stunned at his last message. Very sweet treatment.

I left the message unread, because I had no intention of replying.

I'm just scared, though,

Afraid everyone.

I don't want to be too hopeful.

In him,

Alden Leon Pramudya's.
