CHAPTER 38

Berliana sat in the garden chair alone waiting for Keenan to come see her today. Last night he had been thinking about himself and the feelings he had for Keenan for so long.

Not selfish, but what can he do ? He also cannot blame just one side of Keenan's actions. Because of his brother, Jonathan is also guilty of being a murderer. And the person his brother killed was Grand Ma Keenan.

Berliana looked at her brother who was sitting in front of her. He did not expect his brother to be a criminal. Though as far as he knows Jonathan is the figure of a gentle and loving brother. Then why did his brother become a murderer.

"I didn't expect what I was seeing right now, My brother turned out to be a prisoner" Berliana said softly but was able to tear Jonathan's heart apart.

Jonathan did not expect that his sister could know where he was currently in prison. Jonathan knew for sure his sister's heart was broken and disappointed in him. If he had not been tempted by the lure of Miss Yohana, of course, he would not have been a murderer like this.

"I'm sorry Brother, Brother is wrong." That's all Jonathan can say, to be honest he was so embarrassed looking at his sister's face.

"Five-year-old Brother left me, do you know how tough my life is ? I went to school while working part-time as a dishwasher at a restaurant" Berliana said in a trembling voice.

"More bad I work as a waitress in a nightclub to pay rent, even I have to bury the meetings of my dreams of becoming a lawyer." berliana continued, she even shed her tears.

Jonathan was shocked to hear his brother's heart. He was confused if Yohana promised him to pay for his sister's school and even his sister's college. Then what he heard right now, even his sister's life was so heavy. He felt deceived by Yonaha he did not expect if Yohana did not keep his promise.

"Why is Brother silent ? speak !" berliana looked at her sister.

"I'm sorry Brother, Ana." That's all he can say to his sister.

"Why is Big Brother so evil ! why should I bear the sins of his deeds !" said Berliana alone he repeatedly threw pebbles in the artificial lake of the park.

Suddenly Keenan came alone he approached towards Berliana who was sitting on the edge of the lake chair. Berliana noticed Keenan's arrival she turned towards Keenan looking at the handsome man. He strengthened his heart and mind to be able to talk to Keenan.

"Sit down !" berliana said softly then she turned her gaze towards the calm lake.

Keenan sat himself in the chair next to Berliana. Silence there was no conversation between the two until fifteen minutes passed they still did not talk to each other until Berliana herself who opened her voice.

"Did you throw my brother in jail ?" berliana asked without looking at Keenan.

Keenan turned towards Berliana he did not expect that Berliana already knew Jonathan's condition. "Yes, all I do is because he's guilty." get Keenan back for what he is.

"Then why did you hurt me ? is it because I'm his sister, and then you're free to avenge your pain on his sister ?" ask Berliana again.

"I'm sorry, I'm guilty of you. I'm sorry." Keenan was only able to say that to Berliana.

Berliana closed her eyes this was so painful for her. He's innocent in this and why he should be his victim.

"I'll take responsibility, let's get married. In any case I have taken away your honor. There's no reason why I didn't marry you anyway, because I promised you fifteen years ago to be your husband." said Keenan again he held both shoulders Berliana and looked at the eyes of Berliana who had wet from crying.
