"Dad, Mother, I feel the need to reveal something" Edgar said in a weak voice.
The two old men looked at him attentively, giving him room to talk.
"I knew the truth about what happened that night. About my best friend who kidnapped and hurt me, as well as an unexpected pregnancy," Edgar continued in an emotional tone.
Mr. Abraham and Ms. Clarissa looked at each other, revealing shock and pain in their gazes.
"I decided to forgive my friend, even though his actions were very wrong. I want to restore our relationship and try to understand the reason behind his actions" he said.
"I want to restore our relationship and try to understand the reason behind his actions" Edgar said firmly.
Mr. Abraham and Mrs Clarissa were surprised to hear these words, but they saw the courage and determination that emanated from Edgar's eyes. They feel proud of their son who is able to take a full attitude of forgiveness and understanding.
"Mother, Father, I know that this is not an easy decision to make, but I believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to right his wrongs" Edgar said in a soft voice.
Mr. Abraham looked at Edgar lovingly. "My son, your courage to forgive is a great sign of your maturity. We support you in this process and will always be there for you."
Mrs Clarissa added, "Edgar, this is a noble move. We all make mistakes in life, but what matters is how we learn and grow from those experiences. Let's rebuild your relationship with your best friend and give each other support."
Edgar was relieved to hear the support and understanding of his parents. She feels compelled to take positive action and restore the relationship with her best friend.
A few days later, after the two patients' condition in the ICU improved slightly, the family gathered to discuss plans for the future. They want to take advantage of this moment to invite others to do good and prevent violence.
Edgar also contacted Farel, who was still recovering in hospital. He expressed his regret and his intention to improve their relationship. Her best friend, though still feeling hurt, was open to hearing and willing to give her a second chance.
Over a long period of time and through an uneasy process, Edgar and Farel begin to rebuild trust and repair their relationship. They learn from their mistakes and promise to support each other on their own journey.

Abraham pondered all that had happened. He realized that anger and hatred would bring nothing but destruction. He also realized that family happiness is more valuable than ego and revenge. The journey to reconciliation will not be easy, but he is committed to giving opportunity to Nara, Farel, and Bu Sonia.
Ms. Clarissa, as Mr. Abraham's wife, was instrumental in assisting the reconciliation process. She became the main supporter of her husband and tried to understand the feelings and worries that were in his heart. In every difficult moment, Ms. Clarissa was always next to Mr. Abraham to give her unconditional support and love.
Nara, Farel, and Bu Sonia are also working hard to improve relationships with other family members. They both proved the seriousness of their intention to change and learn from past mistakes. They also promised to support each other and strengthen each other in the face of all obstacles.
As time goes by, slowly the relationships among family members improve. Although not all problems were resolved in an instant, they made significant progress. Communication becomes more open, and they learn to appreciate each other more.
One day, Nara and Bu Sonia spoke honestly about their past. Nara admits that she actually knew about Mr. Abraham's affair with Ms. Sonia, but she chose to forgive and try to improve the family relationship. Meanwhile, Ms. Sonia humbly expressed her regret for the role she once played in ruining Mr. Abraham's family relationship.
"Maybe it's time to learn to forgive" said Ms. Sonia, tears streaming down her eyes.
Nara nodded, "We can't change the past, but we can choose to forgive and give each other a chance to improve. We all have past wounds and mistakes, but that's what makes us human."
Bu Sonia smiled nodding, feeling relieved after talking to Nara. Both of them felt that the heavy burden in their hearts was starting to lift.
At the same time, Farel and Abraham spoke privately. Farel expressed his admiration for the figure of the father who had only known him from afar.
"Dad, I know we've walked the wrong path. But I want to embrace a better future, with you by my side" Farel said sincerely.
Mr. Abraham pondered for a moment before finally grasping Farel's hand, "You are my son, and I want to be the father I can have. Forgive me for all my past mistakes. Now it's time to mend our relationship and build trust between father and son."
Farel smiled, happy to hear his father's words. They both realize that their journey to reconciliation will not be easy, but they are committed to trying and improving their relationship from the beginning.
The sincerity and commitment of all family members brings positive changes in family dynamics. Although there are still trials and challenges to face, they begin to feel the warmth and love long lost within their family.
On the day they left the hospital, they all went home together. There was no longer any sense of awkwardness or hatred between them. They go home grateful for being given the opportunity to start over as a whole family.
