41. Mother Who Wants to Make the Mistake

The story continues with a scene in the hospital, where Farel and Nara are critical and have to undergo surgery. Mr. Abraham and Mr. Bambang finally meet again and try to improve their relationship and support their children.

Tension still surrounds the ICU in the hospital. On the one hand, the struggle of the doctors and nurses to save the lives of the two patients who were hit by gunfire is still continuing. On the other hand, their families sat anxiously in the waiting room, waiting for news of the patient's condition.

A few hours passed, a doctor came out of the ICU room with a serious face. The family waiting tensely immediately saw him and hoped to get some good news.

The doctor breathed a moment before continuing the operation. "Their condition is still critical, but the operation to remove the bullet and repair the wound has been successful. Now they are in an intensive recovery stage in the ICU. We'll do our best to save their lives."

The faces of the nurses and Specialists seemed relieved to hear that the operation had been successfully performed. They realize that the struggle is not over, but there is hope for a cure.

"It is expected that they will regain consciousness and recover soon. We will monitor their progress closely" the doctor added.

In the end, the surgery was completed and both patients survived. However, unfortunately the fetus that Nara conceived did not survive. The doctor had to remove the prospective baby because he had died in the womb due to the great pressure experienced. Nara had to wake up several times when she fell, even the biggest cause of losing her baby was a shot that hit her.

Farel and Nara's congratulations have reached the ears of Mr. Abraham's family because they are in the same hospital, they are very sorry both are still alive. Though what he expected was that they could not be saved just like the baby that Nara conceived, ended tragically died had not had time to look at the world he would explore. But thank God he chose not to be born into this world, because the world would definitely not be fair to him.

In contrast to Edgar and Rachel who are sick with their families, they unite and support each other to go through a period of recovery. Farel and Nara did not stop crying lamenting their fate, not a single family accompanied them. Farel's mother still did not show his arrival because maybe he was still reluctant to set foot in the land of birth that has made many wounds, let alone have to face Mr. Abraham. While the Nara Family, Mr. Herman, as if not care for his daughter because it does not show the trunk of his nose at all.

After waking up and losing her baby, Nara is in disbelief. He was very sad to hear the bad news that had befallen him. As a mother, which heart does not have a child who is waiting for it turns out to choose to go. Although the fetus was present from the results of wrong actions, she still felt as a mother who lost the figure she was waiting for.

Farel also felt a deep void, as the father of the fetus, he felt very sinful. First he did not admit and hurt the mother of the fetus, now he only accepted the results of crying for his actions.

In a weakened condition, Farel pulls out his infusion hose only to meet Nara in his care room which happens to be next door. He walked in a hurry and accidentally met the woman who was looking at him from a distance with a bitter look.

Farel recognized the woman, she was his mother, named Sonia. Is her mother really coming?

With hesitation, Farel approached his mother who was still standing there. His eyes glazed over when he came face to face with a woman who was supposed to give love and affection from birth. Without saying a word, Sonia gently opened her arms and Farel fell into her mother's arms. The two of them felt the same emotional vibration, despite so many unresolved feelings between them.

"For God's sake, Farel, I'm sorry. I'm sorry I left you" whispered Sonia in a trembling voice.

Farel was silent for a moment, trying to calm his raging feelings. "Why did you come, Mom? After so long... After I went through so much suffering because of your departure," Farel said, his voice rife with wounds.

Sonia cried, lamenting her mistake. "Mom knows I've made you suffer, Farel. I regretted it for years. The depression of love has ruined my life, and I don't know how to deal with it. I feel unworthy to be a mother to you and leaving you is the most painful decision in life. I couldn't erase the mistake, but I came to try to fix it. I want to try to be the mother you need, even though I know it can never replace the time you've lost. I heard about you and hesitated to come. Mom's been in a dilemma for a few days, but I'm aware that all of this happened because of a mother's mistake that left you unrecognized by your own father, until the monster grew up just to get revenge. But mother came, to make amends for all the mistakes."

Farel listened to his mother's words carefully. His little heart was still reluctant to give him complete trust, but over time, he slowly felt that Sonia was truly sorry for what she had done.

"For the sake of the child that has gone, give mother a chance, Farel. I want to embrace you, be your loyal listener, and try to understand. I know I've lost so many precious moments with you, but please, give me a chance to try to fix it" Sonia's pinta, tears still streaming down her cheeks.

Farel pondered for a moment. She feels her mother looks fragile, more fragile than when they last met. The desire to have a mother who was next to him all this time never went away, and even though she knew that Sonia's presence would not replace what had happened, she said, Farel felt it was right to give a second chance to his mother.

"I'll try to give you a chance, ma'am. But not just for me, but for you. I want you to feel calm and happy with your choice" Farel replied carefully.

Sonia smiled weakly, thanks for getting a second chance. Although the process of mending their relationship would be strenuous and take time, at least now they have a chance to get started.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the hospital, Nara still feels deep sorrow over the loss of her baby. Farel, who had learned of the news, decided to support Nara with all his might even though his own circumstances were still weak. He is trying to be someone who can support Nara in this difficult time.

When Farel visits Nara in her nursery, Nara feels mixed up. His heart was still broken, but Farel's presence gave him a bit of strength to hold on. They embrace each other and share their grief together.
