One day, in the holiday season. Reihan must attend the wife's family event. I went to Melin's house. Reihan was very happy because the atmosphere there really suited him. It's still beautiful and the air is cold. Different from the city he lives in.

But Reihan's pleasure was disturbed, after the in-laws introduced him as a son-in-law.

"His husband?!" eyang princess directly looked at her two children alternately. "Since when? How did this happen?!" his tone was enough to show that he did not like the wedding of his granddaughter.

"Melin, get Reihan a break in the room!" papa Adi's word.

Then Reihan and Melin resigned. They headed to the room Melin used to occupy.

"Sister Rei..." Melin approached Reihan who had been silent by the window.

"Later, yeah. I'm still tired." reply Reihan flat.

"No one told you anything about our marriage?" Reihan asked back. Melin shakes.

"The story wants to make a surprise for you. Because I always wanted to see me come with my partner. We haven't even had a reception yet. So later eyang will contribute in preparing everything for us. That's what I really want." Melin said very enthusiastically.

"Are you sure you're gonna like me?" reihan's eyes glared far away.

"Rest assured. Who doesn't like Rei? Let's say!" reply Melin.

Melin went to open the door, apparently the one who came was mama Yunita.

"Get out yuk, it's soon dinner time" said mama Yunita.

"Yes, ma." Melin replied.

Reihan lazily followed Melin out of the room, and joined the rest of the family.

"Wait, Arka has not come" said eyang. "He will join us. He was eager to meet Melin, it's been a long time since they've met" she said.

Melin immediately glanced at Reihan who was beside her. Reihan felt that something would go wrong after this.

Sure enough, before long a young man came and greeted everyone in turn. Then he pinched Melin with anxiety.

"It's getting cute...!!!" said.

While Reihan was trying to hold back his emotions, because he saw his wife touched another man.

"This?" Arka pointed at Reihan, who was of course foreign to her.

"My husband." Melin said quickly.

"Really?!" Arka was surprised. "Hi, bro. I'm Arka, Melin's playmate since she was a child." she introduced herself without hesitation.

The introductory event is over, continues with dinner, then a casual chat.

"Those who want to go to the room. Mel, accompany me." said eyang to Melin.

Finally Melin and Arka went to the room. Reihan is getting upset. He felt like he was doing all of that intentionally.

"I'll go to the room first, Dad." said Reihan.

Papa Adi can only agree. He and his wife looked at each other.

Reihan was furious, but he could still endure it. He felt so small in the face of an eye that seemed to dislike him since his arrival that afternoon.

Reihan kept staring at his watch, long enough, and the longer it took, Melin never came back. Until finally heard footsteps approaching, Reihan immediately closed his eyes.

"Sister.., you're asleep...?" ask Melin.

Melin exhaled her long breath, when she knew Reihan was asleep.

That morning there was a debate between enyang and Melin's parents. Starting from mama Yunita who reprimanded eyang, because she wanted Melin to go buy porridge with Arka.

"Melin is married to Reihan. Why did you tell her to go with Arka? That's not good, mom!" resolute mama Yunita.

"Yunita's right, ma'am. Then there will be misunderstandings" said Papa Adi.

"Goodoo. So let them separate. Melin married him to Arka. Arka is better than Reihan. More established, his future is clear." he said.

"That's enough. Don't disturb Melin and Reihan's household!" mama Yunita said.

Mama Yunita also saw Reihan leaving.

Melin then ran after Reihan to the room. He drowned, and he fainted after that. Papa Adi rushed to lay it on the bed.

"Don't tell Melin" said papa Adi. "Let them both go first."

Mama Yunita nodded obediently.

In Melin's room...

"You shouldn't talk rudely to the eyes" Reihan said.

"But eyang has gone too far." Melin replied.

"But everything you say is true. I am a nobody, I have nothing. How can I..."

Melin covered Reihan's mouth with her palm. Then hugged Reihan tightly.

"I told you. I don't like you talking about it." muttered Melin.

"But that's reality, Mel. Even to this day I have not been able to keep up with what your family has given you. I haven't been able to give you anything." Reihan replied.

Melin simply shook her head deeply in Reihan's chest. Reihan also had no intention to return the hug.

"Meet your eyes, and apologize!" tell Reihan while pushing Melin's body slowly.

"No!" reply with firmness.

"Don't be a bad grandson. You should be grateful that you still have eyes." Reihan said.

"Sister.., I did it to preserve the honor of Rei's brother" Melin said.

"No need to do that, I'm fine. That won't change anything." Reihan smiled faintly.

"Sister..." Melin whines to stay in the room with Reihan.

"I would have sinned to let my wife do that to her family" Reihan said.

"Yet...!!" Melin stomped her feet a few times, then walked out of the room.

The frustrated Reihan rubbed his face violently. Then he leaned his back on the headboard.

Reihan wants to get out of the house. But unfortunately the condition of the princess's eyes made her not warty. So inevitably he had to stay there until the next few days.

"Reihan, papa, please be patient. It's like that. But papa is sure, later eyang will change his mind. So you don't think about it. Papa's on your side, son. Don't worry." papa Adi patted his son-in-law's shoulder.

"Rest, papa will call Melin to catch up with you" he said.

He was like a stranger in that house. His wife had almost no time for him. Because the eyang always just looking for a reason to be with Melin. As if I didn't want to see Melin with him. Precisely eyeang makes Melin always be on his side, and also Arka.

Papa Adi kept his promise. Melin is in her room with Reihan.

"Have you slept?" ask Reihan for a little chat.

"Yet. Mama's accompanying him now." Melin replied.

"When do we go home? A few more days of my lecture getting active" Reihan said there was still no expression at all.

"We'll be home soon." Melin replied, she understood that Reihan felt uncomfortable in his eye home.

"Goodoo. I'm so tired. Good night." Reihan then broke his body.

Not his tired body, but his heart and mind. He was eager to leave just like that, but he still looked at his in-laws and wife.

Melin can only say Reihan's words. Because she knew her husband was not in a good mood. Especially after the incident that morning. Plus now he fell ill, and always asked Melin to accompany him. Maybe if it was just themselves it wouldn't be a problem. But eyang always just present Arka in their midst.

A message came in from Arka. Melin opened.

Anyang order, tomorrow morning would like to have breakfast with you in the side yard. Eyang wants to eat while looking at his collection of fish.

Melin sighed after sending a reply. He then put his phone down, then slept next to Reihan. Melin looked at Reihan who had closed her eyes. No more shoulders as sleep-off. No more hugs, baby. Especially kissing. Melin is very sad. He slept on Reihan's back, with tears dripping from the corner of his eye.
