A Challenge

Reihan half ran towards the parking lot. He didn't want to be late to pick up Melin. Because he was worried that Kevin would get there first and do something to Melin.

"Rei, I'm nebeng ya." said Bunga who was already on the side of Reihan's car.

"Sorry, I'm in a hurry." Reihan replied.

Reihan paid no attention to the Flower who kept grumbling. He gets in the car and drives off to Melin's school.

"It looks like that chick really enslaved Reihan...!!" grunting Flowers.

While Reihan was out of his campus environment. Luckily the streets are not so crowded, so Reihan can freely increase his speed.

After arriving at Melin's school gate, Reihan contacted Melin.

"I've arrived" Reihan said.

"I just got out of the teacher's room. Just a minute, brother."

Reihan can breathe a sigh of relief. After ending his call, Reihan came down to greet Mr. Supri. And his class brothers passing by.

"Safe, sir?" greet Reihan.

"Some is under control" he replied. "Yesterday some of your generation also came here."

"Oh yeah, what's the show?" ask Reihan.

"Just want to visit her homeroom" she said."

"Oh..."

"It's been the long-awaited exit" said Mr. Supri with flirtatious eyes teasing Reihan.

Reihan turned his head, Melin then waved her hand.

"I'm waiting too" he said again.

"Wait for who, sir?" ask Reihan.

"Your marriage vows."

Reihan just shook his head. Mr. Supri might tease him.

"Do'll be a match, sir." Reihan replied.

After Melin arrived at the post, they also say goodbye to Mr. Supri.

"Sister..."

"Yes?!" reply Reihan.

"There's an event next week?" ask Melin.

"Mutual work. If you don't have activities, and stay at home." Reihan replied.

"Now!" Melin gave an invitation to Reihan.

Reihan also abandoned his intention to start the car.

"Keira's birthday. I'll drop you off. Don't worry." Reihan said.

"I want Brother Rei to accompany me. Not just dropping off." Melin made her point again.

"Me?!" Reihan pointed at himself with the invitation in his hand.

"I don't want to be alone. I didn't come too bad for Keira. If it comes, it must have met her brother." Melin's face looks moody.

"If you're not comfortable, you don't have to come" Reihan said.

"Not good, brother. I'm just sick, Keira came to see me." Melin replied.

"But not until it's finished. I don't want to take you home too late." that's the condition Reihan put forward.

"What did Rei's sister say." replied Melin who agreed with Reihan.

That day also came. Reihan was waiting for Melin in front of the house with his father.

"Take him home before it's too late, Rei. Honestly, I am still afraid that the events of that time repeat themselves." papa Adi expressed his anxiety.

"Yes, sir. I told Melin, if not to linger." Reihan replied.

"Thank you" said Papa Adi. "Let uncle Lukman come with you, just in case. How's it?" sama later.

That night Melin went with her uncles Lukman and Reihan.

The arrival of Melin and Reihan was warmly welcomed by several invitations who knew them. Like Sasha, Ben, and some of the students who went to school in the same place as them.

But there was also a pair of staring eyes that did not like the two.

"Sister.., please. Don't mess up my party." Keira whispered to Kevin.

Keira then leaves Kevin to greet Melin and Reihan.

"I don't think my sister came" he said.

"Come here, but it can't take long. You want to have an event equally papa." Melin replied.

"OKAY. What matters now is that brother's coming." said Keira. "Kak Reihan do not hesitate, let's join the others" he said kindly.

In the middle of the show Melin wants to go to the bathroom. Sasha accompanied him.

"Wait a minute, there's something uncomfortable about this" Sasha said after Melin came out.

"Don't be long." Melin replied. Sasha pointed her thumb in response.

Suddenly someone patted Melin on the shoulder, making Melin aghast.

"Sister.." said Melin.

"Is he alone here?" ask Kevin while looking around.

"I'm the same Sasha." Melin replied.

"I think the same bodyguard of yours." the tone of voice seemed to underestimate Reihan.

"There's a front if Kevin wants to meet" Melin said.

"Make what? I'm here to see you" Kevin said.

"Shouldn't be in this place? It's very disrespectful." Melin replied.

Sasha came out of the bathroom. She was shocked when Melin was out there with Kevin.

"Have you?" ask Melin. "Come back!" bring Melin.

But Kevin held Melin's hand.

"You didn't hear...? I want to see you." said Kevin firmly.

"Sister Kevin, don't be rude dong!" Sasha tried to help Melin.

"I have nothing to do with you!" kevin said while looking at Sasha.

"Follow me!" Kevin kept pulling Melin's hand.

"Song maauuu...!!!" Melin kept trying to pull her hand.

"Mir..!!" Sasha is still trying to help Melin.

"Release Melin!!"

The familiar voice made Melin feel saved. But not with Kevin, he looks very upset.

"Have ears, right??! Off!!!" snatch Reihan once again.

Kevin threw Melin's hand while grinning. Sasha swiftly caught Melin's body staggering towards him.

Kevin is now dealing with Reihan. Staring at Reihan's face with a myriad of anger.

"The time is now babu on belagu ya!" sneer Kevin.

"You don't know who I am, huh?! Until you dare to yell at me." he said.

"Very know. Even everyone knows you. It's just that they don't know your rude attitude." Reihan replied in a calm fashion.

"Listen...!!" Kevin pointed at Reihan's face. "Whatever you try to keep Melin, it won't mean anything. For you and Melin are like the earth and the sky. Still the status of the employer and his jongos. Not more!" Kevin smiled in anguish after saying that.

"Sister Kevin!" sahut Melin reprimands Kevin.

"That's the truth, Mel. Don't try to close your eyes to what is clearly in front of you right now" Kevin replied.

"And in reality, brother is no better than brother Rei." Melin returned to reply.

"I...?! No better than this babumu...?! Sure you...?!!" Kevin again showed off his sinister smile.

"Very sure!" melin replied firmly. "Come brother, don't mind him." Melin pulls Reihan's hand.

After the incident, Melin returned to Keira and her parents. Same with Sasha and Ben.

"Look at his hand!" reihan said as he pulled Melin's hand. "illness?" ask Reihan.

"It's hot" Melin replied.

"It's okay, just a little red. I'm sorry I didn't come soon" Reihan said.

"I'm fine, brother." Melin smiled at Reihan.

"Other times I won't let you go without me" said Reihan who still rubbed Melin's wrist.

"To the toilet though?" sahut Melin's.

"Wherever!" Reihan reaffirmed.

"Diiih, where can. That's the private zone tofu..." Melin replied with a joke.

"I don't like you joking around under these circumstances, Mel." Reihan's tone of voice was so cold and flat.

"I really don't want you to do anything" he added.

"Sorry.." said Melin lirih.

"Why? Are you afraid of me? Am I too bad?" great-grandson Reihan. Melin shakes.

"Maybe you think I'm exaggerating as your mother. But I'm like this because I love you, Mel." Reihan said.

Melin looked at Reihan. Eyes glazed.

"If you really love me, prove it!" challenge Melin. "Come and tell my parents that my dear brother is with me!"

Reihan.

"Why silence? Brother Rei doesn't dare, right?!"

"After I do, are you ready for the consequences?!" Reihan gave a counterattack.

"Ready! Just do!" Melin answered very boldly.

"That's the car." Reihan pointed at the car approaching them. "We'd better continue tomorrow" Reihan said.

It was still a very early morning when Reihan reached the courtyard of the public cemetery. He decided to make a pilgrimage to the graves of his parents, before doing something he had been thinking about since coming home from the party that night.

"Hopefully I didn't make the wrong decision, mom." he said.

Finished sowing the flowers, Reihan left the place. Then he picked up Melin as usual.

"Sir Rei there's no college?" melin asked when she did not see Reihan's bag on the passenger seat.

"none. Postponed tomorrow." he replied.

"Sak Rei's done slashing? How about black-black?" ask Melin again.

"No. I just went to send a do'a to my late parents."

"Oh.." That's Melin's reply.

"Why is he so different. It's chilly. Is he still offended by my words at that time huh...?!" thought Melin.

After dropping off Melin, Reihan did not return to Adi Widjaya's residence or Ismi's pastry shop. He slides into Melin's papa's office, after confirming that she has permission to meet.

"So what do you want to talk about, Rei...?" ask papa Adi.

"On Melin, sir." replied Reihan.

"What's the matter with my daughter?"

"That night at Keira's party..." Reihan told me everything.

A father smiled satisfied with his daughter's courage. It seems silly, but at least Melin managed to get Reihan to confess his feelings for Melin in front of her parents.

"So now you're here to ask for my daughter's blessing?!" sahut papa Adi's. "And I told you that time, I'm grateful that you really want to be in a relationship" he added.

"Thank you, sir." Reihan said.

"Even if you want to marry young, I will take care of everything" said papa Adi.

"I have not been able to support my father's daughter. Even now I am still a student" said Reihan who is not very confident.

"Reihan's. I know you have principles. If you can accept my help, I can arrange everything. But I appreciate your stand. It shows that you really are a responsible man, and don't want to trouble others."

"Thank you for your understanding."

"My message, you should know the limits. Don't disappoint the family." said papa Adi.

"Yes, sir."

"If it is difficult, the solution is. You get married." papa Adi put the volume down on the last sentence he said.
