Earth Without Dusk
15. Enjoying the Sun Shaking Together

Cars belonging to Dusk are seen entering a beach area. Behind him was a car that still faithfully followed the direction of the car. Upon arrival at the beach, Dusk parked his car and he got off to walk down the beach.

“Is he no work to the beach this afternoon?” ask the Earth who is still watching Dusk from inside the car.

“Maybe Miss Dusk would like to see her own twin, Sir,” Jefri replied while refraining from laughing.

“Her return?” reset Earth. “Who?” ask Earth to be curious. Dusk is the only child of Mr. Andika.

“Senja, Sir,” replied Jefri.

“I mean whose twin?” ask the Earth again.

“Ya Dusk, Sir,” Jefri replied again which made the Earth wrinkle her forehead.

It seems like Lord Earth doesn't understand what I mean. Inner Jefri.

“I mean, Miss Dusk would like to see the sunset, Sir. The sunset is also called dusk,” explained Jefri who makes the Earth clucked.

“Ck! You wait here!” tell Earth to get out of her car.

After the Earth came down, Jefri laughed out loud because his Master did not understand what he meant.

Dusk was at the end of the unfenced bridge on the beach. From there it looks like the sunset will be very clear. Dusk stands facing the expanse of open sea in front of him. The slow moving gust of wind made him feel cool until he embraced his own body with both hands.

The sound of footsteps with an unhurried stomp came closer to him. Suddenly a pair of sturdy hands attached a black suit that smelled of luxurious perfume to the shoulder of Dusk. Earth knows, Dusk was cold at that time. Dusk was still silent, he still did not budge waiting for the sunset.

“You should go home, not even be here. The wind makes you cold,” said Earth who stands beside Dusk but looks forward in the direction of Dusk.

“I still want to be here. I feel comfortable here. More precisely I feel comfortable being able to watch the scenery at sunset,” said Dusk without taking his eyes off.

“What's your name for Dusk so you like to see the sunset?” ask Earth.

“Entahlah. But my mama told me once, when I was pregnant, my mama was very happy to see the sunset. Mama said, nausea and pain during pregnancy will disappear if you see the sunset. And I also happened to be born late afternoon at sunset. So it feels right my name is Dusk,” replied Dusk with a big laugh. Quite a unique story for him.

“And you like your name Dusk?” ask the Earth who is now looking towards Dusk.

Dusk shook his head, then he looked to the side to see the face of the Earth. “The period is not long, only temporary,” replied Dusk very briefly.

“What do you mean?” ask the Earth again.

“That's when the sun goes down. That's short, isn't it? I hope my life is not that short,” replied Dusk softly.

“Ssttt The earth placed her index finger on the tiny lips of Dusk so that the girl would no longer continue her words.

Dusk grabbed the seemingly loyal hand of Earth in front of his lips.

“Let the universe determine how long my life is in this world. Don't think about what I said,” said Dusk.

The earth clasped tightly onto the hand of Dusk who was holding his hand. He retraced the beautiful eyes that caught his attention the first time he met.

“The world still needs good people like you, Dusk,”.

“You're praising me?”

“No.”

“Then what was?”

“Entah.”

“Ihhh, what kind of answer is it,” protest Dusk.

“Already, look it the sun is almost setting!” the word Earth diverts the conversation.

A red tinge from the sun was adorning the sky that afternoon. The birds seemed to be flying at the end of the sky back to where they came from. Slowly but surely the sun began to disappear as if swallowed by the ocean. After losing its twilight, the sky appeared dark and lifeless.

“Beautiful,” murmured Dusk full of amazement.

The earth turned to the side. “Ya, very beautiful.” I don't know which twilight he thinks is beautiful, only he knows.

“Day will be dark, we must go home,” said Dusk.

“Iya. I hope you go straight home and don't go anywhere else,” order Earth.

“You can bring it too,” said Dusk while chuckling.

The earth pulled the corner of his lips. Making a faint smile on his face. “You see sunset again another time?” ask Earth.

Dusk nodded with spirit. “For my name is Dusk, while I will see my twin continue,” replied Dusk.

His words could be the same as Jefri's. Inner Earth.

Without taking off his hand, Earth led Dusk to leave the place. Dusk watched the hand of the Earth holding it tightly. I don't know why, it makes him comfortable. Is it wrong that he feels comfortable near his cousin's future husband?
