Chapter 47 Doubt

The pigeon knocked on Julliane's room window. Quickly Julliane opened the window and let the pigeon perch in her hand. The voice of the senandungan accompanies the opened and read letter.

It was about Ian coming to Yuvinere Kingdom to clear up any misunderstandings about the monster attack. His subordinate's circumstances also improved and he apologized for keeping a close eye on Julliane. 

Julliane smiled to herself reading the letter.

"Here you go, if you like her, just ask her to marry you" said Letta, who sat on Julliane's shoulder.

Julliane. Finding her friend misbehaving, Letta smiled meaningfully. 

"No, I still haven't forgiven her," Julliane denied with a flushed face. Although his mouth said no, his heart and body said another. 

"Don't stall, or don't you don't want to go back to your world?" ask Letta perfunctorily.

Letta's question, touch Julliane's heartfelt fear. Not because he lost his friend or lover again, but could not meet with Ian forever. 

"Can't I just stay here?" answer Julliane lirih.

"Olivia..." Letta looked at Nilar Julliane. He did not want to part with his new friend. He learned that not all humans are bad.

"I'm kidding. You must miss Julliane. I'm just his replacement." A forced smile rang on Julliane's lips, not wanting that one spirit to be sad.

"You two are my friends. You will surely miss me. I can't choose who's better off. There's only one thing for sure, break the curse so you can live" Letta said, hugging Julliane's face.

Julliane closed her eyes, feeling the warmth running through her face.  His fingers stroked Letta's hair. He will long for the constancy of that one spirit. Letta's words were right, he had to live even though he had to sacrifice his own feelings. 

The forgotten pigeon began to get annoyed, knocking on Julliane's hand. Conscious of her grief, Julliane replies to Ian that everything is under control. The mastermind of the monster attack had already been captured, leaving behind one person. Not to worry, Julliane will avenge that man in Ian's place.

Feeling not writing enough, Julliane grabbed another paper. This time not to be delivered but saved. This letter can only be opened when he returns to his world.

"Who's invited to your birthday, Elle?" julliane asked as she put the snack in her mouth.

Julliane was in Ellaine's room, talking about her sister's birthday. I can't wait to see the party this time.

In the novel, Ellaine's birthday is the highlight of the competition. The announcement of the man who won the heart of this princess became the thing that the reader was waiting for. Many thought that Kyler would be the winner because of Ellaine's savior. Beckett was the winner. Beckett's gentle and caring attitude melted Ellaine's heart. But this time it will be different.

Ellaine shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know, Sister Juli. My friends don't retaliate."

Julliane threatened them not to come. He did not want his brother to be friends with people full of tricks and cunning. Ellaine's problem of not being invited to Rebecca's party was never reported by Julliane. He could not bear to see his sister feel sad because she was ostracized.

"Good, after all they are not good friends," replied Julliane cynically.

"By the way, Sister Juli will make my makeup, won't she?"

Ellaine smiled, covering up the guilt of covering up something from her brother. What power Leroy forbid him to announce his engagement to Beckett before his birthday took place.

"Is Kak Juli still putting on another noble girl?"

Silence began to ambush into their conversation. Ellaine pensively thought about Carlos' situation. Leroy learns of Carlos and Beckett's quarrel, so as to expel Carlos. Maybe Beckett was the one complaining. The longer Ellaine was the more doubtful her actions were.

"According to Kak Juli, which is more important the happiness of yourself or the crowd?" ask Ellaine.

Sometimes we sacrifice our own feelings to torture ourselves. The most important thing is to follow your heart, Elle. All choices have risks. Why are you suddenly asking like that?"

Julliane squinted her eyes. Her sister is a little strange, often looking sad. Julliane suspected Carlos' absence took part in her sister's grief. Their relationship was closer than in the Flower Palace novel. Carlos cares for Ellaine, and Ellaine feels lost when Carlos is not around.

Carlos was at his house preparing to infiltrate the palace. A few days ago, Leroy came to Carlos directly in his room. The goal was to fire Ellaine's bodyguard. Not because of poor work or lack of money, he simply did not want his plans to be interrupted.

Unable to defy the King's orders, Carlos packed his belongings and watched until he reached the palace gates.

However, as he knew of Carlos' arrival, Leroy placed many guards in the concubine's palace. Breaking through was tried, but once caught the guards beat him to battered. 

Sending a letter was done, but there was no reply. It was not that Julliane rejected him, but that the letter had never been read by Elliane's brother, never even touched or delivered. The servants threw out a letter from Charles on the King's orders.

Not knowing what else to do, Carlos could only wait for Julliane to leave the palace so they could talk together. Unfortunately, that day did not come until Ellaine's birthday was approaching.
