Actually, I Was The Real One

Actually, I Was The Real One
Chapter 14

Reverse!

The small glass fell on the pint of beer, and the knights cheered.

It seems like nothing, but the act of doing that requires precision and control. If done wrong, the glasses will definitely break.

Clap the clap of applause!

Keira clapped with them even though she did not understand what was happening. Everyone laughed, so he laughed awkwardly.

"This is really happening," he heard Sir Joseph sighing beside him. He held his face as if troubled.

"Let's have a drink, Miss!"

A man with light brown hair, yellow eyes and a familiar face gave him a big glass of beer.

That's Sir Arthur Walford.

Keira: “O-oh, yes. Thank you." Thank you."

The smell was strong, but he could not refuse what was offered to him, so he took a sip.

Arthur: "Hey, that's not how you drink it!"

"Walford, stop" said Sir Joseph.

Arthur flinched, but speaking again, his attitude returned excited. “But our woman came to the drinking party because she wanted to know us! He came all the way here, so he had to drink.”

Keira: “I'm fine, Mr. Joseph.”

"Look!" As Keira takes his side, Arthur becomes more energetic. “Then, take a good look. You drink it like this. ”

He drank beer at once. The large glass was emptied in a few seconds.

Arthur: “Kuu–!”

He then raised an empty glass above his head.

Keyra's eyes widened. "Sir, is that some kind of ritual?"

Archie: "... What's?"

Is it a promise of good faith and friendship?

When he looked at her with sparkling eyes, Arthur said, “That just means, uh. If any beer is left behind, it will spill over my head.”

Keira: “...Oh.”

That's what happened.

His cheeks were burning with shame.

Arthur: "Now, let's try our mistress."

All that beer? Isn't that too much?

In the past, he was an exemplary student who would not dare to overdo it.

With the amount of liquor in front of him, it felt like he was committing a crime. Keira feels like an underachieving student who is tempted by her friends to go to a bar.

What am I supposed to do?

Looking around, he realized that everyone was staring at him with anticipation. He could not bear to tell them that he could not drink.

In the end, he closed his eyes and emptied his glass.

Keira: “Kuu–.”

His throat and stomach felt heavy, but he finished it and even lifted the empty glass over his head.

Then the knights cheered.

Clap the clap of applause!

“Wooooo!”

He did not know why they were cheering, but he was glad everyone seemed to be enjoying it. At least it didn't feel like they were in a meeting like before.

He put down an empty glass, and the other knights gave him a new one.

Any more?

The knight must have seen his expression, as he said, “Please hold it for now. It is impolite to hold an empty glass!”

When all the knights had their drinks, they raised their glasses and shouted at the same time.

“For our women!”

“For our women!”

Shortly after, many snacks were placed in front of him. The salty side dish is strange, but not too bad.

When she is thirsty, she keeps drinking and biting on snacks.

When she regained consciousness two hours later, she was in the arms of Reina, one of the female knights.

'Huh…?'

Why is he in her arms?

Nothing comes to mind. It was as if the memory in the middle had been erased.

Her cheeks were wet, and when she touched it, she found a clear liquid. Did he spill water on himself? Keira tilted her head, not realizing that it was tears.

Then, he heard someone crying.

When he turned his head in surprise, Arthur shed tears.

Why is she crying?

"This is all because of His Grace!"

"Yes! To be honest, I was afraid of him because he was so cold-hearted!”

At a drinking party like that, one should not stop talking about their superiors. And the knights around Keira shared their sentiments.

“Honestly, I'm so scared. I think I will be fired if I make a mistake ... "

"I can't lose my job .. I have to pay my sisters' tuition ..."

Drunk, Keira cries and complains how upset she is because of her father. Fortunately, he wasn't talking about Cosette.

The knights fully sympathized with her as she told the story when she was ten years old, she rolled down the stairs to get her father's attention. He doesn't seem to be the only one who agrees that his father is inhumane.

There is a saying that there is no effective way to approach another person other than stabbing in the back.

Alcohol must have been influential, and the talk of the Grand Duke stirred them up, when a sense of friendship suddenly grew between them.

“He is very evil. I was hurt like that. He should have gone to see me.”

Reina patted his back and said, "That's because you're too good."

Someone gave him another glass as the others comforted him. Already drunk, he downed more beers.

Some knights fainted and were stacked in the corner of the bar. A knight grumbled when one of his boots was missing. Another used says the boot is lost as glass.

'What a mess…'

Keira was so drunk that she was half crazy. They're everywhere.

On Arthur's shoulder, several knights sang and drank. They sing songs that make them want to drink more and shake their shoulders.

He thought the song was really messy, and wondered why people drank while singing such songs.

He'll ask them later.

Arthur patted her on the cheek and said, “Nona? My girl? Are you okay? Oh, are you drinking too much?"

Keyra: “I'm fine..”

Arthur: "No, it's not convincing when your eyes don't focus like that ..."

Reina draped a blanket over her shoulder.

Keira was drunk, semi-conscious, warm and comfortable. Naturally, he began to fall asleep.

Reina: "Sleep if you're sleepy, Miss."

Keyra: “Ya..”

With eyes closed, Keira hid in Reina's arms. Suddenly, he remembered what they had told him.

"That's because you're too good."

If he rebelled against his father, it meant that he was aware of the man and acted deliberately to anger his father. Keyra doesn't want that.

Now that he was back from the past, did he still have to care about his father?

She doesn't like it.

'From that…'

He wanted to do whatever he wanted without worrying about what the Grand Duke was thinking.

As he made his decision, he was overwhelmed with drowsiness.

Shortly after, he fell asleep.
