Chapter 5: The Problem

Nightfall

In a house, there was a sound of a combination of plates and spoons.

Ting

"Valen, how's your college life?" Ask a man who turns out to be Valen's father.

Across his father was a young man who was eating and paused to speak.

"Nothing special." Said the young man and he was Valen.

"Valen, you should be able to make a lot of friends. That's for your benefit, too." Said Valen's father.

"I'll remember." Valen.

Valen and his family are eating together at the dinner table, not long after. Their meal was over and Valen decided to return to his room.

The sound of the door rang and showed Valen and then closed the door again.

Valen also laid his body on the mattress and muttered.

"I'd better look for a new activity tomorrow." Valen said and by chance tomorrow is a holiday.

While Valen was staring at the window, Valen was shocked to see a shadow appear past his house.

"What is that." Valen said and he reflexively stood up and opened the window.

Valen who saw that wanted to ignore it, but he was also curious what the real figure was.

In the end, Valen decided to follow him by jumping from the window and running on the roof of the house.

Valen chased after him quite quickly while looking at the clock in his hand.

"At 8pm, I still have plenty of time." Valen said and continued to dart while adding to his speed.

While jumping over the roofs of the house, Valen immediately stopped when he smelled a scent that he thought was not good.

"This scent comes from the forest over there." Valen said and without realizing it Valen had run far enough.

"Should I stop." Valen said while staring at the forest in front of him.

Valen was worried enough to make his decision until he finally decided.

"Better to know than not." Valen said and immediately darted into the forest.

A group of people were running on a tree.

"Theo, how much longer are we going to follow him." Said a woman to the man who seemed to be their leader.

"Let's calm down, Lea, we'll catch him soon." The man's name is Theo.

Then a moment later Theo gave the code to his partner to stop.

"What's Theo." Ask one of his colleagues.

"I feel another existence around here." Theo.

His partner was stunned for a while and continued the conversation.

"It's possible it's just an ordinary animal." Said partner.

"Never underestimate anything Joe, just a small mistake can make our plans fail." Theo said firmly.

"Well, I'll remember." Said Joe.

Their group consisted of four people, led by Theo and the other three.

Then one of Theo's colleagues spoke again.

"Theo, we should focus first on our plan." Said one of his colleagues wearing glasses.

"Huftt, okay continue as planned. Sam." Theo said to his colleague Samuel.

Then they ran back to the front without knowing that someone was following them.

"I think I should be careful." Said the person who was following that who turned out to be Valen.

Valen soon disappeared into existence, and continued to pursue them.

It was seen a man running on a tree with a breath that was wheezing.

"I should be able to run away from them, I can't get caught." Said the man.

Then accidentally the man's foot stepped on a sharp tree trunk and resulted in the man's leg being injured.

"Murghhhh." Shouted the man and he fell on the ground.

Huft Huft Huft Huft

With an irregular breath, the man forced himself to stand up again. But when the man was about to run, a shadow kicked him until he bounced off one of the trees.

"Ugh." Ringis the man.

The man was about to stand up but could not, then he circulated his gaze forward to see that a group of people were currently standing not far from him.

The man panicked and made his breath hunt even more.

"Huft Huft's. W-what do you want to do." Said the man.

It turned out that the group that had kicked him was Theo and his partner.

"You must take responsibility for what you've done." Theo.

The man nervously said.

"I-I didn't do, I got framed." The man said he gave a reason.

"Brapped?, after what you did to the princess you still said was framed." Theo.

Not long after, Theo walked up to the man to kill him.

While Theo wants to kill him, Theo's hand is held by Sam.

"Theo, remember our goal is to bring him alive. Not killing him." Said Sam.

Theo who heard that must inevitably accept it.

"Tch, okay. Take her." Take her." Theo.

From a distance, Valen heard their conversation.

'So it looks like that.' Valen.

When he was about to leave, Valen was even hit by bad luck because he accidentally stepped on a wooden branch.

The sound was certainly heard by Theo and his partner.

"Who is that? Get out of you." Theo.

Valen also cursed himself for being too careless.

Not coming out, Theo spread his gaze all over the place.

"There, get you out." Theo.

Feeling no other choice, Valen finally came out of the dark forest and walked right in front of them.

Theo who saw Valen was stunned for a while, because he saw Valen who only used a jacket with a head covering (kupluk), and used shorts.

"Who are you?, and what are young people like you doing here?" Ask Theo in full search.

His colleagues also participated in his investigation from head to toe.

Valen did not immediately answer but saw them first, shortly after Valen just spoke.

"I just want to hunt ordinary animals here." Valen said calmly despite lying.

Seeing Valen who had calmed down earlier made them even more suspicious.

"Then why were you hiding?" Ask Theo.

"I just looked at the four of you and didn't know there was one more person who seemed to be scared there." Valen.

Valen's words also make them think hard, whether the young man in front of them is a lie or not.

Theo spoke again.

"Then you've seen what you shouldn't have seen." Theo.

Feeling an uneasy feeling, Valen stood by and said.

"What do you mean?" Ask Valen.

Theo codes Joe to kill and is taken in by Joe.

Joe walked towards Valen, and soon a sharp claw emerged from his fingernails.

"Sorry, this boy is not our fault. Except for your mistakes." Said Joe.

Then Joe darted quickly while pointing his claws at Valen.

But what surprised them all was when Valen managed to hold the scratch from Joe using his left hand. (rich hands immediately attached to it)

Joe was obviously very surprised by this incident, because what he saw was so impossible.

"What the fuck is this." Joe said in disbelief.

Then Valen pushed Joe's hand, and Joe was pushed back.

Unable to believe what happened, Joe again attacked Valen with his claws.

However, Joe's attack was successfully held back by Valen.

It was clear that the incident made everything quiet and shocked.

Unlike before, Valen also grabbed his right hand and hit Joe's ribs to the side.

Joe's body hit the tree, bleeding from his mouth.

"JOEE." Shouted Sam.

Then Sam immediately rushed towards Joe.

"Joe, are you okay?" Ask Sam.

Then Joe turned his gaze toward Sam and spoke.

"It looks like my ribs are broken." Said Joe.

Sam was clearly surprised, how not Joe's body is the biggest among them and Joe also has a defense that is not playing. Then how could his ribs be broken with just one strike.

Seeing Joe's injury is quite severe, Sam decided to lay Joe near the tree.

Then Sam stood up and walked towards Valen.

"You've made a mistake." Said Sam.

"What do you mean, he attacked me first." Valen.

"Much of your talk." Said Sam.

Sam quickly attacked Valen.
