Chapter 25 - Auspicious

It's been almost a week, Margaret hasn't seen Jorell in the company. Even the boy did not visit her as usual. Since Mazaya's departure, Jorell has been CEO, but his son remains in his seedy undercarriage. Even so, usually every night, Jorell always took the time to have dinner together.

Curious, Margaret asked Jorell whereabouts to Jefrey.

"Jef, why doesn't your sister ever come home again? Where the hell is he?" ask Margaret.

"Jorell I'm being sent out of town ma. There are some collaborations that only Jorell wants to take care of. It might take a long time. Therefore, he no longer came to the house. Sorry, I didn't tell you all this time. Because I thought you'd know for yourself" replied Jefrey.

Margaret took her breath slowly. So busy he takes care of work, he does not know what his son is doing.

"It should be, though, that you keep telling this to mama."

"Yes ma. Sorry."

Afterwards Margaret went to her room. He checked if it was true what his eldest son said or not. It felt like something was wrong.

And sure enough, after being checked and found out. There is a partnership being done outside the city. However, it was not Jorell who handled it. He was angry and upset. He even clenched his hands tightly.

"Actually where did the boy go?"

Margaret wondered.

Jeffrey called his sister in his room. He felt that there was no way his mother could trust him that easily.

"Rel, you better get home early. I'm afraid my mom is suspicious. You know for yourself what your mom is like. If he is suspicious. Whatever we're hiding, it's gonna be easy to find."

"Yes, soon I'll be home. My business is not done here, brother."

"It's important to go home first. After that you want to go there again whatever. The important thing is not to know where you are there. Could-maybe he'll do more than this to Mazaya."

"Yes, brother."

"Yes, thank you for telling me this."

"Of course."

The phone connection stopped. Jefrey can breathe a sigh of relief now. At least he had warned his sister to be careful. Because if it gets caught by his mother again, I don't know what his mother will do. It could be worse or maybe even things he wouldn't have expected.

"May one day, my mother will bless you."

After getting information from her brother. Jorell was disappointed. That means he won't be there long. Though his longing has not been fully treated. He even felt he did not want to leave after knowing there were other men who continued with Mazaya.

"Why should this be? Why is my love story so complicated? Can't you not see someone of his economic status?"

Jorell felt frustrated to the point of ruffling his own hair. Though he had planned all the meetings with Mazaya up to the 22nd. However, it turned out that it seemed like the meeting had to be completed so quickly.

"When you know, Mazaya is a hardworking, smart woman. Mama should agree, right? He loves that kind of character."

Jorell said that knowing that his sister's fiancee is a smart and hardworking woman. Even her sister's fiancee is a famous designer in her city who has been bailing buana abroad.

"Can't my love story go well?"

The man begins to wonder about his love story that will be happy at the end. He did not even care about his phone that kept ringing showing the name on the screen that is the mother.
